We offer a Weber grill and large fire pit and outdoor picnic table with umbrella. You can either sleep in the barn, down in the clean stalls, or up in the barn loft. Bring supplies as if you are camping ie bedding, hammock, tent, sleeping pad or inflatable mattress. There is a long wooden table up in the barn loft that seats 14. There are games up there too, (dominos, cards, trivial pursuit etc). You may also camp outside under the starry skies. No loud music. Tree huggers unite! This is the promised land. Consisting of two separate forests, the wooded bastions of Mother Nature rise tall and strong in these parts. Each tree is beautiful in its own way, but perhaps no trunk is better for squeezing than those in the 200-year old white pine grove in the Whittemore Recreation Area of the Peoples Forest. One can only hug so many trees, however, so it’s a good thing there are lots of other things to do in the American Legion and Peoples State Forests. The trails that wind through these wooded acres will keep hikers on their feet for days on end. And the waters of the wild and scenic West Branch of the Farmington River attracts kayakers and fishers from all over Connecticut and even neighboring states. But if you want to just come and squeeze an oak, no one will fault you.

Our 2 acre property and house is located in the center of the small town of Leverett. We have two sites, a private camping spot located down by the stream, and a yurt at the edge of the yard. We are near a paved road with moderate traffic. The property abuts many acres of woods and there are a number of great walking trails nearby. A half-mile walk behind the house takes you through the forest to an outlook on Leverett Pond. The Peace Pagoda is just a few miles up the road. Other nearby destinations include Cushman Market and Cafe, the Montague Bookmill, and Mt. Toby waterfall, caves, and lookout tower. Leverett Pond has a public boat launch nearby. We have canoes, paddles, and lifejackets available for rent--inquire for details! The area has excellent bike riding as well. The 1.3 acre parcel across the street from the house and farm has a forested peninsula that the A-frame is located on. Our street ends in a small stream that continues to separate the farmstead from the A-frame site. Come stay in our tiny rustic A frame cabin built of mostly reclaimed materials. Enjoy being across the stream and over the bridge from the main house on a private peninsula. Enjoy the privacy of a "single site" camp! Use the fire pit, grill, outdoor wood stove, single burner butane stove or umm the bathroom :) without having to leave your site! Please be aware we are in town and you may hear road noise, lawn mowers, dogs, ect. You may also see and hear wildlife ex; deer, beavers, ducks, muskrats, rabbits, geese, foxes, and coyotes. We encourage native plants and work to provide a sanctuary for many threatened bird species. The cabin is 100sq. feet with sloping interior walls the flip up side wall is permanently open and screened in. There is no running water or electricity so unplug and unwind. A place to plug in and the water spigot a short stroll from your cabin in the driveway The cabin has a a full size mattress with sheets, blankets, throws and pillows. Lanterns, cooking utensils, camp mugs and camp coffee pot are provided. Please request the cast iron skillet and butane burner, it will not be in the cabin if you do not ask for it. You are also welcome to set up your own tent. Please note cleared space is limited and the tent should be a 1-3 person smaller tent. Outside on the deck are tiki torches, woodstove and bistro table. There is a hammock, picnic table, and 2 sets of outdoor chairs at your site. We do not have a swimming hole but the town beach is 5 minutes away and requires a day pass. If you forget something you are a short walk to Cumbies, and several farms, bakeries and a large grocer are a very short drive away. Venture farther (10 minutes) to one of the nearby hiking trails. We are within 15 minutes of the Blackstone Gorge, Southern New England Trunkline Trail, Cornier Woods, Franklin State Forest, Wojcik Farm, Cook's Valley Farm, the New England Bonsai Museum, Diamond Hill Vineyards, Caroline's Cannabis, Shire Conservation Area, New England Country Club, and many stables. I found this place looking for a place to go tent camping and stumbled upon the treehouse. After looking at the pictures I realized I wanted to pay for the upgrade. I am 100 percent happy I did. The amount of details and heart that was put into this place cannot be put into words. If you are thinking about this treehouse, do it. I cannot recommend it enough. Also the more you explore the treehouse, the more cool things you will experience. I don't want to ruin the surprise of finding and trying things that I have not attempted in years. Just know that this place comes with side quests.

The most comfortable cabin with a stunning view!!!! Everything is so much more beautiful in person. Being there truly feels magical. I loved being surrounded by the ferns and wildlife. The view from the cabin is stunning. I recommend catching sunrise, even if you have to get up a bit early. At night, the fireflies put on a show that was unreal and left me speechless. The cabin is very clean and well kept, as well as the outhouse. I was impressed. The hosts are very kind and informative. You will not regret this stay.

The views were even more gorgeous than the pictures somehow, which I didn't think was possible. The hosts were so warm and welcoming, genuinely lovely people, and it was the sweetest bonus getting to meet their adorable dog Basil. They pointed us toward some great restaurants and gave us tips on things to do nearby that we never would've found on our own. The cabin felt so private, and I basically lived in the hammock. Slept better than I have in ages too. They have lots of paths and things to do right on the property as well. We even spotted a few deer from our window puttering about in the meadow. We only stayed one night, but we left completely relaxed. Can't recommend it enough.

Highly recommended for your journey to self reflection, practicing your bird song recognition, and reprogramming your natural circadian rhythm. There is a lake conveniently located a few miles away to get a break from the heat.

I always enjoy staying at the Kula Bata Tiny Kabin for my personal writing retreats. This was my third time there. The cabin has everything I need, but more importantly, acres of quiet, wooded trails. Great for peace and contemplation. There are also plenty of good restaurants/supermarkets/movie theaters etc. within about 20 minutes if you need some diversity of settings!

Such an amazing magical stay! The interior was so beautiful and cozy. It made it hard to pick a favorite spot to relax. But one of my favorite's would have to be the hammock in the screened in porch on the deck overlooking the water i’m listening to all of the birds. I only had one night stay, but it felt jampacked and so easy to get away from the city. Extra stars for leaving a bit of wood to have a fire. I will definitely be staying here again.

We loved staying at the tiny cabin. The land is stunning, everything is so well thought out, and as comfortable as camping could be. The outdoor shower was a plus, as well as the clean well maintained compost bathroom. We felt totally comfortable there, and Tori was so kind and welcoming.

🤩 Wow! Next time I’d like to explore these trails because it’s going to take a couple days. The property is huge. If you’re having guest not from the East Coast, I’d come here to have them visit to get the true taste of New England here.

My pup and I had an amazing time and would definitely be back in the future. Mary was incredibly responsive and accommodating from start to finish. The day before arrival, she sent a very detailed guide with recommendations for things to do nearby and answered every question I had within minutes throughout the trip. The cabin was clean, cozy, and stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay — stove, grill, kitchen essentials, bathroom/shower, washer/dryer, and an awesome infrared sauna. She also left complimentary honey along with treats for my puppy, which was a thoughtful touch. I ended up purchasing honey from her as well since the complementary honey was really good. She provided me recommendations based on my what I'll be using the honey for and she made the purchasing process very easy. One thing I really appreciated was the privacy. Everything was seamless and well organized, and despite how available and helpful she was, we never even had to meet face to face. Even though it rained for most of our stay, we still had a fantastic time. The nearby hiking trails and farm within walking distance made the trip memorable, and my pup absolutely loved exploring the property. Overall, a relaxing and memorable stay with a host who clearly cares about her guests’ experience.

We got to use the wood-heated hot tub - Tori kindly prepared and heated it up in time for our arrival. The tub was a true highlight of the stay, especially with the cool and rainy weather. The trails nearby are worth checking out and we befriended so many newts!
