Host was very friendly & helpful. We arrived late and couldn’t see anything but he was very nice and patient In walking us through to our destination. Very cute picnic table & fire pit with two tree stomps to sit by it :)

We had a wonderful stay. The host and his family were so friendly and accommodating. The site had plenty of space and gave us enough privacy. The lean-to came in handy during our first night when we had some heavy rain.

Beautiful views, nice firepit and trees to park the cars under. Private and easy to get to off the road. There are beehives nearby, which would be important to know if someone has an allergy. Overall a nice place to camp.

Cynthia is an amazing human and great conversation! Her farm is an amazing property. Absolutely worth stepping foot on. I slept better here than I have in a very long time. Great views all around. Was in the area to visit a family member in Amherst. This was a welcome place to camp at the end of a few busy, long days. Didn't get to experience and enjoy the property as much as I'd hoped (didn't have enough time during my days there). However, I'll gladly book this Hipcamp again! Cynthia greeted me upon arrival, and showed me where the bathroom was (it's a nice walk through a very well kept horse barn). She even turned on the bathroom heater before I got there (my stay was during fall nights that got a bit cold). I car camped in an SUV and had no problem finding a level spot to park and set-up my sleeping area for the night. Lighting at night on the property felt safe and bright...but not TOO bright.

Paula and her husband are kind, thoughtful, and helpful hosts! They were very quick to respond to our messages and were incredibly accommodating. I’d forgotten to pack cooking oil and Paula was generous enough to offer some of hers. This place has everything you need! If you enjoy birding this place has a variety of birds. Also, it was so cool to hear a great horned owl in the middle of the night.
We all had so much fun at their campsite - the perfect fall getaway. We’d love to visit again in the summer so we can enjoy the swimming holes and take advantage of the hiking trails!

Definitely recommended. I will love to go back next year during springtime Place is so private, love waking up in the morning to hear only nature,what a simple weekend getaway So relaxing and refreshing.My two dogs had fun with this hip camp.

We had a wonderful time at Paula and Bill’s campsite. It’s rustic yet well stocked and maintained, with tons of walking paths and a beautiful creek where we spent the afternoon skipping rocks. Bill brought us fresh water and firewood (along with some lovely conversation), and even when a nor’easter rolled through on our final night, we stayed warm and dry in our tent. Paula was so easy to get in touch with and they were flexible with our arrival time coming from NYC. The land they are on is truly stunning and they really care for it with such love.
Our six-year-old had the best time and now wishes we could camp there every weekend!
We also spent part of one of our days at Kesicke Farm, where he played in the corn maze, fed the animals, and just had an absolute blast. Mighty Donuts was also amazing and a great spot for kids, and Red Hook diner on our way out was just exactly what we needed.
Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we would love to come back again!

This is the best deal in town. It was equally as comfortable as a hotel but you’re out in a beautiful landscape. There are privacy screens, so while the owner’s home is in sight, it still feels like you have your own space. George was really welcoming and we chatted about their lovely garden. Next time, we’d like to stay a bit longer, as this was just an overnight before the Fall Foliage Half Marathon. But nevertheless we woke up feeling rested for the run and really enjoyed our brief stay.

We enjoyed our stay in our pop-up camper at Cynthia's place. The land is really level, with easy pull through parking. The bathroom that's available was very clean and convenient. We had fun exploring the stream and watching the horses.

We stayed for one night and didn't spend much time at the site since we were visiting our son in college nearby. But it was just what we needed! A quiet, wooded spot with a covered picnic table AND dry lean-to just the right size for our tent (made for very comfortable sleeping). George and his wife were very friendly and gave us directions to the nearby farmer's market. It's a wonderful area to visit and this campsite was a very pleasant alternative to staying in a hotel.

30 ft travel trailer
Starwind Farm was a beautiful place to park our camper for the evening! It was nice having access to a bathroom in the tack room, and it was super quiet and peaceful. Directions were easy to follow and the host was responsive. I'd happily recommend to future campers.
