We have three dogs who you may hear occasionally, but who live in their own fenced yard attached to the main house. Though we live on the property, the tiny house is your own private space and we'll respect your privacy during your stay. Neighboring houses are visible from the property in one direction. The other direction all that can be seen is trees, mountains and sky. There is space to pitch a tent next to the tiny house for additional hipcampers. Please note, we sit at about 8600' elevation which means in the summer you can enjoy a good 10-15 degree temperature drop from the flatlands. Ahhh. In the winter, it will also typically be colder and snowier. Be prepared for the altitude and be sure to hydrate (and consider drinking less alcohol than you normally tolerate) so you can remain healthy and enjoy your stay.

This was the perfect cabin for a family getaway. We enjoyed all the amenities: the big screen for movies, wood burning stove and hot tub. The bed was comfy and scenery pretty. I personally would have liked a normal coffee pot, but my son liked the drip pot. It was nice to have laundry onsite to wash towels.

Grocery store is 20 minutes away so you can grab anything you need. Loved our time here. Definitely would come back.

Deer came right down to the Lodge, plenty of creature comforts in the kitchen, jacuzzi tub, hot tub, with wifi and central heat. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. Trailhead on site for a good hike, or another right across the hwy. King Suite was spacious, check in was easy, be ready for an extra deposit fee.

The tent sites are spaced out perfectly—private enough to feel like you’re on your own adventure, but close enough to walk to amenities. Waking up to the sound of the creek and the cool morning air was the best way to start the day. Trails are right next to the lodge, so I was able to hike straight from my campsite without ever getting in my car. The staff deserves special mention. They were welcoming, knowledgeable about the area, and gave genuinely helpful tips for hikes, food, and local spots. The community vibe around the lodge, especially in the evening, made the experience even better—quiet when you want rest, relaxed when you feel social. Our stay at this Hipcamp site was peaceful, scenic, and exactly what we were hoping for. Ernest was friendly and communicative, and the igloo was clean with plenty of space and privacy. We loved sitting by the mini fireplace and hot tub at night under a sky full of stars. Waking up to birdsong and fresh mountain air was also a great addition. Everything felt thoughtfully cared for and simple in the best way no distractions, just a chance to slow down and reconnect. I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing, off-the-grid getaway.
