Welcome to Camp Wilder! We are an off-the-beaten-path camp offering peace and solitude.
The cabin is very special to my family and me. It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect.
A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them.
The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy.
Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland.
The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin.
The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware.
Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful.
No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there.
Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes.
We are @ 10,000 feet and it is a slight hike to the cabin. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles
When leaving please make sure both door locks are locked, put the key in the lock box and mix the code for the next camper.

Camping here was absolutely wonderful! From the drive up to the view from the porch, the scenery was gorgeous. The site itself is a bit tricky to find which was my only issue. Otherwise the location is perfect, and the lodging was stocked with a multitude of useful resources. I would definitely visit again!

We had such a wonderful stay! The host, Marni, was incredibly kind and welcoming which made us feel right at home.
The camper was clean, comfortable, and really adorable. It is whimsical with bright colors and a happy mood. I really love that the camper has running water, a bathroom with shower, fridge, and heat! The nights were getting cool during our stay and the heat made us so comfortable.
The property itself is absolutely beautiful. With pretty views, and the added joy of seeing horses, goats, and alpacas right on site. It was peaceful, fun, and such a unique experience to be surrounded by the animals. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a special camping trip!

The camper was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The shared flex room was a fantastic bonus, giving us extra space to relax. I’m 100% recommending this place. Absolutely meets and exceeds expectations set by the profile. We slept 3 adults comfortably and could have fit 4. The view from the cabin is breathtaking. The cabin is well stocked with sleeping pads, furniture and kitchenware.

Booking the whole property felt like a secluded dream! Nights were so quiet and completely private, and it was wonderful letting the dogs roam off leash. The mountain views were unbeatable—especially with the evening fog rolling through. The patio was the perfect spot to watch hummingbirds and soak it all in, and the picnic table made a great place for dinner.
We brought our own coffee setup and bedding, but there was a Coleman stove and some handy amenities available. The campsite itself was huge, with plenty of room for multiple tents and several fire pits to enjoy (when there isn’t a fire ban). The porta potty was where we parked our car, so it wasn’t a far walk at all!

I took my 18 yr old grandson, his friend & 2 dogs. It was perfect!! I don’t know who had more fun, the kids or dogs! The little dog barks at everything & it was so nice to have so much space to ourselves & not have to worry about it. Cole had everything there as backup. We brought blow up mattresses but didn’t need them because there was cushioning in the loft where the boys slept. We hiked & explored & found a beautiful feather, either owl or falcon, to add to the blue jay feather there. The views & the hummingbirds were the best! I can’t wait to go back! We got a little rain & it was nice to have a place to hang out & stay dry until it passed. We loved being here! Thank you so much Cole!

My friend and I stayed the night at this location and were extremely happy with the experience. The cabin was warm and well stocked. The porch had plenty of room to eat and chill. The vista view was covered with wildflowers. It was easy to get there. I could go on and on about how much we loved it. Totally recommend!

As described, a stunning spot with amazing views. Easy to find with Cole’s directions. . Walk to cabin was easy to navigate, toilet was placed in a fine spot surrounded by wildflowers.
Cabin was rustic and equipped with wood stove and pots, pans, and dishes and other equipment. User advisory: not a place for germaphobes, bring water, light source, and your own bedding.
