Weekend Trip to Urban Camping Near Denver
Awesome and perfect!! My best friend and I wanted to see some music and not have to drive back to Winter Park, neither of us like getting a hotel room. This was the perfect alternative and wish we had more time to enjoy.

We were extremely thrilled to revisit Will and Jake and their campsite. As always the campsite was clean, inviting, and well maintained. Jake cooked for us again and the gourmet burgers did not disappoint. As the last campers of the season, we were pleased to relax in a pine tree haven. We really enjoyed our weekend stay here! We came with my toddler and dog and they both enjoyed playing outside during the day and stayed cozy and warm in the tent during the chilly night. The site was well supplied and conveniently set up and Marsha was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The land is beautiful and the leaves were starting to turn golden. It was so secluded and peaceful; the stars were unbelievable and we could hear coyotes at night and it was so quiet we could hear the flapping of bird wings during the day. I would love to come back and stay here again another time.

This was the best camping experience I’ve ever had! My daughter called me and told me about this place and we immediately booked it. Imagine you’re at 10,000 feet on 160 acres on the most beautiful countryside in Colorado and you’re only ones there! 1 campsite, all to yourself with all the amenities you could possibly hope for! Mike and Marsha have thought about everything, we will be back here year after year and make sure we stay more than just 2 nights! If there’s any question in your mind about booking here, just do it!! You come back and refer this place to your friends, that’s how good it is!

Doggie and I loved camping with the Jansmas. They were there to greet us coming in, and the tent and equipment were perfection. Extra bedding, lotion, candles, a solar shower and privvy, all were luxury. The dog so enjoyed being off leash all weekend. The highlight of our stay was the birthday dinner that Jake cooked on the final night, with a special creme brulee for dessert complete with candle. The coyotes (and the highway traffic) were a bit closer than I had realized they would be at times, but the rest of the time was quiet and beautiful. If you come, make sure to stop at Costello's Coffee House. We will be back!

What a wonderful experience. We spent my partner’s birthday out in nature after an exhausting summer and Will went above and beyond with this site.
It comes with all your camping basics (chairs, kitchen supplies, towels, extra blankets etc) so you don’t have to worry about packing too much. Will was there to greet us with Carrie, and we’re both so kind.
Will made us feel welcome at the campsite, showing us our amenities and a few walking paths. He was always within reach to answer any of our questions.
We decided since it was a special occasion, to have Jake cook for us- and I am GLAD we did! The best burger I’ve had in a long time, and it’s at our campsite. He even went and made a special dessert for us, and brought out a birthday candle and everything.
The stars are abundant, the views are amazing (even from the outhouse), and the energy of Camp Ka-Ne-Ga is everything we could have wanted for a peaceful mountain getaway.
We’re all excited to return soon.

We loved our stay. Will was a gracious host and the campsite had everything we needed. We stayed with our 2 kids (6 and 4) and there was plenty of room for 2 cots. Even with some rain, we had a blast hiking and visiting the wolf sanctuary. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed staying in Will’s beautiful tent. So many cute and special details were present, not to mention every need as a camper. All you need to bring is food and drinks. Everything else is perfectly arranged. And if you do not want to cool his son will cook for you! Even in the rain we had a lovely time. The spot is well positioned for local trails, fly fishing, and the newly reopened coffee shop less than a mile away.

The bathrooms were.. fine.
Kids loved the pool which was an unexpected amenity.
The arcade was filled with of classic arcade games but unfortunately many were out of service because, well, they were 30-40 years old.
Lone Duck was comfortable, people were quiet and respectful, and overall completely adequate.

We had the best time at this camp spot. The hosts provided everything we needed for an easy getaway from Denver. The yurt was HUGE and allowed for us to play board games indoors while it rained. We saw no people, only some deer while we were camping. We will definitely be back!

We decided to spend our 16th anniversary on Will’s glamping spot and it didn’t disappoint. Surrounded by pine trees in a remote location we couldn’t ask for better and privacy. Will was a gracious host and most accommodating with the amenities. The site was built and designed with care for anyone looking to relax in a tranquil setting. We saw tons of birds, squirrels, and even deer. Also, we were delighted to have Jake cook for us on our anniversary day-he even accommodated us with surprise dessert. The food and service was spectacular! Overall, this was a great and relaxing experience and a highly recommended glamping spot. We will be back! Thank you!
