Welcome to our charming 2-acre meadow nestled in East Boulder. Just minutes from town - near bike trails, shops and restaurants. A great pitstop on your way to or from the mountains - or base camp for the adventures in Front Range. We aren't fancy, but we are convenient, cozy and safe. Gate code will be provided 48 hours before arrival. We have spots in the meadow for Tents, Motorhomes, Vans, Trailers, and Rooftop setups. The grounds are a bit sloped but we've got leveling boards (please leave them behind). We've got the world's best eggs, a few walking paths through tall wild grasses, a campfire ring, solar shower, wading pool, gas grill, a table and a lovely porta-jon. We offer a 13 foot canvas tent complete with a queen sized bed, electric fans, chairs, and a wood burning stove. We can handle RVs up to 45 feet - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep gravel ramp to get in and out. We have a community fire pit with free burn wood, though the big logs are few and far between; your own firewood is recommended - as well as an ax or saw. If it's windy, please skip the fire... the BFD is very strict about this!! We have well water feeding a solar shower (only hot when the sun shines) and sink (non potable unless you have a filter). We have a wading / dog pool continually refreshed from the creek. I just built a new filter!! It’s a saving grace in the summertime. We have a community gas grill - please donate to the propane fund. Please help yourself to eggs up at the coop - look for the Venmo QR and WATCH OUT FOR THE ROOSTER! The chickens free range during the day, so please MIND YOUR DOG. Our toilet is a porta john, pumped clean every Thursday. Welcome to Camp Wilder! We are an off-the-beaten-path camp offering peace and solitude. The cabin is very special to my family and me. It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect. A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them. The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy. Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland. The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin. The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware. Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful. No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there. Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes. We are @ 10,000 feet and it is a slight hike to the cabin. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles When leaving please make sure both door locks are locked, put the key in the lock box and mix the code for the next camper.

Potable water will be provided along with coffee and tea. Fresh eggs from our chickens can also be made available upon request for a small fee. Cots and a hammock are available for use in the Greenhouse, but you will have to bring your own sleeping mats, sleeping bags and pillows. Sleeping mats and sleeping bags on the floor are also an option if you choose. Picnic tables are close to the Greenhouse for enjoying time outdoors. The Glamping in the Aspens Tent has a wood burning stove in it that will be available starting later season 2024. Firewood for the wood stove will be provided for you. Just outside the tent is a picnic table with BBQ grill and propane fire pit. There is a porch area with outdoor kitchen and a queen sized bed inside the tent. A comfy dog bed is also included. A composting toilet is available for use. No showers currently available (Bath House coming soon). Well behaved dogs are allowed, however, they must be on a leash or under voice command. There are 2 dogs that live on the property as well as chickens, turkeys, and a cat. All will be contained so as not to disturb (except for the occasional rooster crow). Gate code will be provided 48 hours before arrival. We have spots in the meadow for Tents, Motorhomes, Vans, Trailers, and Rooftop setups. The grounds are a bit sloped but we've got leveling boards (please leave them behind). We've got the world's best eggs, a few walking paths through tall wild grasses, a campfire ring, solar shower, wading pool, gas grill, a table and a lovely porta-jon. We offer a 13 foot canvas tent complete with a queen sized bed, electric fans, chairs, and a wood burning stove. We can handle RVs up to 45 feet - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep gravel ramp to get in and out. We have a community fire pit with free burn wood, though the big logs are few and far between; your own firewood is recommended - as well as an ax or saw. If it's windy, please skip the fire... the BFD is very strict about this!! We have well water feeding a solar shower (only hot when the sun shines) and sink (non potable unless you have a filter). We have a wading / dog pool continually refreshed from the creek. I just built a new filter!! It’s a saving grace in the summertime. We have a community gas grill - please donate to the propane fund. Welcome to Camp Wilder! We are an off-the-beaten-path camp offering peace and solitude. The cabin is very special to my family and me. It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect. A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them. The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy. Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland. The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin. The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware. Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful. No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there. Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes. We are @ 10,000 feet and it is a slight hike to the cabin. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles When leaving please make sure both door locks are locked, put the key in the lock box and mix the code for the next camper.

Sleeping mats and sleeping bags on the floor are also an option if you choose. Picnic tables are close to the Greenhouse for enjoying time outdoors. The Glamping in the Aspens Tent has a wood burning stove in it that will be available starting later season 2024. Firewood for the wood stove will be provided for you. Just outside the tent is a picnic table with BBQ grill and propane fire pit. There is a porch area with outdoor kitchen and a queen sized bed inside the tent. A comfy dog bed is also included. A composting toilet is available for use. No showers currently available (Bath House coming soon). Well behaved dogs are allowed, however, they must be on a leash or under voice command. There are 2 dogs that live on the property as well as chickens, turkeys, and a cat. All will be contained so as not to disturb (except for the occasional rooster crow). We had an amazing time staying at the cabin. The cabin was well stocked with propane and water, and the power station looked very nice too! The cabin itself is very cute, comfortable, has a fantastic view, and definitely feels private and secluded from the rest of the grounds. Stephanie was extremely responsive and eager to help, and was able to secure a sturdy ladder for us to get to the bed mere minutes after the request. The cabin definitely still has some construction items remaining, but is more than finished enough to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Overall my girlfriend and I had a wonderful time and will most definitely be coming back next year!!

We had an awesome time at the Laughing Valley Ranch! Bill showed us around and we loved looking at the animals, he’s a very knowledgeable and kind man. The campsite was an a gorgeous outlook that made for fantastic views. We are birders, so loved all of the cool birds around. Joe also made our stay super easy and comfortable! He gave us rides to the site, made sure we had wood and water, and showed us some cool spots around the land. Big shoutout to Joe! Overall we really enjoyed our time here, great place to get away and take in the mountain view’s for a couple of days, while not being super far from Denver and the cute town of Idaho Springs. Recommend this spot for any hiking, camping, or overall nature lovers.

My partner and I loved our stay at the tiny house! The sauna setup and giant windows were really the selling points for us. Was also fun to hand-grind coffee to be more present. The aspen leaves changing were an added bonus! There were two other sites on the property, but the folks staying there were friendly, and it was overall still a very peaceful place. 10/10 recommend for a little weekend getaway for two.

The Stargazer A frame cabin we stayed in was incredible. The sites are relatively close together but are extremely well placed so you still get privacy and good views. We made a fire in the firepit and lounged in the hammock before going to bed. The weather got gloomy but it was so cozy inside that it wasn't a problem, even without heat/electricity. After the storm had passed we went outside in the dark and the sky was absolutely gorgeous and starry. Very peaceful and much needed.

Our family has resided on this magnificent property for over 20 years. In the 1950s, before the home was built, our land was known as "the point." Lovers used to drive onto the property, park at the end of the lot which overlooks the eastern plains, and... you know... We live on 6.5 acres of stunning forested land located 1000 feet above downtown Boulder. Our property rests on a peninsula with views of the white-capped peaks to the west and the city lights to the east. The property feels far away from the bustle of city life, yet it is only an EIGHT-MINUTE drive to the heart of downtown Boulder's historic shopping district and ten minutes from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Vista Tranquila, the name given to our property by its previous owners, has trails to meander, picnic tables, horseshoes, swings hanging from the trees, a competitive-level trampoline, benches with views, and hammocks. The communal food prep area has a gas grill, a table for food prep, and a seating area. We request that guests pack out all trash. Since we do not provide stoves, pans, utensils, or cleanup facilities, please bring paper towels to wipe off your stoves, pans, dishes, and utensils. A well-maintained portable flush toilet is provided in a tall tent near the main residence. A spigot can be found with fresh well water on the back side of the main residence. We do not offer showers. However, the Boulder Recreation Center (a 10-minute drive) offers showers and other facilities for a small fee. You can enjoy a historic mining town experience with fine dining and live bluegrass/ folk music at the town of Gold Hill which is less than 20 minutes up our canyon. Kayakers, climbers, hikers, and cyclists (mountain, road, and gravel) will have an outdoor playground within a very short drive or right outside our door. World-class climbing located at Eldorado Canyon State Park is only a 25-minute drive. If you seek bigger peaks beyond Boulder Mountain Parks, the Indian Peaks Wilderness and Rocky Mountain National Park are a gorgeous 45-minute drive.

The cabin sits on a beautiful 4-acre plot, surrounded by forest that gives great access into the National Forest surroundings. You can park right next to the cabin with a 4x4 or AWD vehicle, or park at the bottom of the driveway for a short 50-foot walk from the cabin, if you’re driving a regular car. The Fisherman’s Cabin, hosted by Huts and Hills, has a rich and fascinating history. Originally built by two professors from Berkeley College, the cabin was designed as an annual mountain retreat. Each year, they would journey from California to Colorado, seeking peace and relaxation in the serene forests of the Lost Acres National Park. At the turn of the century, the nearby Denver Wheel Club, with its headquarters right by the river on Insmont Drive, would host a major bike race every year. Back then, the area had no roads, and the only way to access these lands was by train from Denver, making it an even more remote and special destination. Today, the Fisherman’s Cabin is conveniently located just a short distance outside downtown Bailey, Colorado. It offers easy access to various mountain passes such as Guanella and Kenosha. The area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering countless opportunities for hiking, fishing, hunting, biking, and wildlife watching. The Tiny House: The tiny house is a luxurious stay for hipcampers. It boasts a loft with queen size bed, and secondary loft with an additional mattress upon request. Enjoy a bath in the soaking tub or a quick shower in the bathroom, which also has a composting toilet (don't worry, it doesn't smell!) and sink. Relax on the couch or outside in your private sitting area that looks into the national forest. Electricity, wi-fi, and heat included. The tiny house can sleep 4, although may be better suited to 2 if you don't want to be rubbing elbows. The Property: The tiny house is parked nearby the main house on the property where we live. We are at the dead end of the road, and the property abuts National Forest with trails for miles and incredible views of nearby peaks. We have three dogs who you may hear occasionally, but who live in their own fenced yard attached to the main house. Though we live on the property, the tiny house is your own private space and we'll respect your privacy during your stay. Neighboring houses are visible from the property in one direction. The other direction all that can be seen is trees, mountains and sky. There is space to pitch a tent next to the tiny house for additional hipcampers. Please note, we sit at about 8600' elevation which means in the summer you can enjoy a good 10-15 degree temperature drop from the flatlands. Ahhh. In the winter, it will also typically be colder and snowier. Be prepared for the altitude and be sure to hydrate (and consider drinking less alcohol than you normally tolerate) so you can remain healthy and enjoy your stay.

The surrounding area has amazing Mountain Views and you can drive to the town of Black Hawk for dinner/Casinos in about 20 minutes (depending on the weather), to Rollinsville in about 20 minutes in the other direction, or to El Dora in about 30 minutes. Given that it takes about 20 minutes to get to any neighboring small town, note that the house location is remote. It is located in a residential neighborhood where most houses are on an acre of land. Because of that, sound travels very easily so while it is usually quiet, you can easily hear dogs barking or music. Guests love that this space is PRIVATE on an entire acre of land without any street noise. Enjoy this beautiful home without worrying about where or when you have to be somewhere. Black Hawk - have your own private space and hot tub & escape some of the madness of staying at the casinos by opting to stay at Little Gem Lodge! Small Towns (Rollinsville, Nederland, Black Hawk, Wondervu, Idaho Springs) - there are lots of cute local restaurants and breweries in each of these towns. Treehouse Magic is built around PAL an over 80+-year-old Ponderosa Pine. This wonderful space is magical in every way! Only 300 sq. feet with an almost 1100 sq. foot deck, including the covered gnome room. The upstairs bedroom is a full mattress (14" gel mattress). There is also a fold-out couch to sleep 1. The main level couch will fold down and become another bed platform. We provide a CordaRoys transformable chair, that unzips and becomes the bed topper (plus extra sheets, blankets and pillows). Some of the kid guests like to sleep in the Cabana room in the "pop-up" tent and cots! We provide a "smart movie projector" with built-in ROKU, for a movie night...The outdoor kitchen includes a PitBoss pellet smoker/grill, and propane griddle. The kitchen has a 2-burner gas stove and a small refrigerator. The bathroom has a Nature's Head composting toilet... (a little tutorial is needed) a sink and a trough step-in tub/shower with rain head. Wifi- Roku on inside TV as well or just the calm of beautiful nature! Every detail was thought of. A MUST-TRY EXPERIENCE! *Absolutely NO candles or open fires, please!! There is a propane firepit. Maximum of 2 dogs. $40 per dog. Additional rules apply for dog guests and must be cleared with the host prior. Please pick up after your dogs, there are poo-poo bags provided in Treehouse. Please do not leave the dogs unattended EVER in the treehouse, on the deck. Please use dog kennel if needed.
