While we have plans for more developing in the future, we ourselves are in the process of working into our own plans for the overall site. Right now, a peaceful night's sleep is much of the idea of this stay. While there is some noise from the highway that runs near the property, it gears much towards agricultural travel, such as semi trucks headed to and from from the area. While we always will have handwashing water and a bottle of drinking water, we are in the process of developing, which REQUIRES that anyone who reserves is ALREADY equipped with sufficient drinking, any cooking water- and any necessary washing water for their overnight staying. There is a plug, small coffeemaker, and microwave which are within the structure. Some paper towels or napkins and a tissue box are provided. While much of the time, there are ample hand towels for some convenience and extra older sleeping bags, it is not our responsibility at this time to "provide linens". Trained pet may accompany a guest, and are not the responsibility in ANY WAY of the management. Parents or guardians are completely responsible for any children or guest that accompanies them. At this time, this structure is only for people who can walk up a 100 foot, small hill without any assistance that is not already accompanying them. Grace is a sweet glamping option. The view from the breakfast table was lovely, the decor appealing and it was clean. It had everything we needed to make meals and wash dishes. The bed was comfortable. The furnace, electric stove and small heater for the bedroom made cool nights comfortable. Paonia is beautiful! The drive to Crested Butte from here is amazing!!! Karina was very communicative with clear instructions before our trip and was quick to respond to our requests. If you've never used a composting toilet before, it's an adjustment but it's a good option for glamping. The shower had hot water and enough pressure. I would stay here again.

We had a lovely (but challenging, carrying a toddler) hike up and stay at Cabin #2. The cabin was quaint, clean and more well-appointed than expected (I guess we didn't need to pack a hatchet?). It was hovering around freezing when we arrived, but we got the stove lit and got the space up into the 50s for a comfortable night. Sunrise was lovely from bed and we finished our trip with a hike up to the lake in the morning before descending to the car.

We loved this special little village. It's a very well-kept cabin and has everything you could need. The hike in was a bit tough, but well worth it and very straightforward! We were able to see lots of wildlife and enjoy time at the nearby lake. There's a marmot that runs around the abandoned town and plenty of pika in the surrounding area. Will remember this trip for a while.

What an absolute GEM of a spot! Went up for a little solo retreat, and the cabin had absolutely everything I needed for a cozy camping experience but with a roof over my head and all camping basics provided plus a little more! I hiked over to Cleveland Lake, enjoyed the cozy cabin at night, and woke up to a stunning sunrise. It’s a relatively accessible spot, meaning you don’t have to hike very many miles to get there, but you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere in only the best way. Would absolutely come again!!!

All set up with linens, towels, soaps etc. clean and neat. Tiny kitchen. Don’t plan big dinners. There is a grill and propane. No inside table. Small sofa. Very nice loft sleeping area. Bed is very comfortable. Slept great! Bathroom is tiny but fine. No more than 2-3 people for sure. Campground is adorable! Looks like a Western town with all the different tiny homes. Nice outdoor fire pit for all to use. Definitely highly recommend.

Incredible stay at Ben’s gondola village! We hiked in from the 727/759 intersection and it was a BURNER but so worth it for the views. We are new to packing in and WAY overpacked our packs. Plenty of propane there, save yourself some weight. The sunrises were absolutely magical! You can watch them from the hut or walk down to the gondolas for a good view. The hut is so cozy, we could have stayed in there all day. We did take a hike up the road for a quick dip in Cleveland Lake and will be dreaming about it until we return. Absolutely freezing but beautiful! Will hold this place near and dear to my heart forever. Can’t wait to be back!

Weekend Trip to Marble Mountain Yurt

My partner, dogs and I absolutely loved this Yurt! In addition to the amazing view, there is so much intention in the design and layout of the place. It has a decent lawn with yard games, hammocks and a fire pit plus easy access to the exterior bathroom (which was so cozy and smelt lovely being it is a compost toilet). The Yurt itself was to well designed. All the appliances and fixtures were easy to use when following the meticulous directions in the guidebook (photos were super helpful). We had such a great time playing games and getting cozy in the yurt, eating meals on the patio amongst the mountain backdrop and also exploring Marble and hiking around to see views, waterfalls and the quarry. Definitely would go again!!
