A Short drive to the Royal Gorge train and park, St Abby's winery, Arkansas rafting and fishing, restaurants and shops. Comes with almost everything for your off grid in nature experience, even an outhouse / shower enclosure.

This secluded, 2-acre campsite is the only place between the Royal Gorge and Lake Pueblo where you can fish and camp right on the banks of the Arkansas River. Accessible by watercraft only, you cannot drive to it or hike to it—you can only boat to it. There is no public road access to the camp.

YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN WATERCRAFT.

Access to the campsite requires your own boat. There are no direct roads for you take. 

You will be our only guests at this private riverfront location—no one else vying for the trout…no one’s boom box disturbing your sleep…no swimmers disturbing the fish.

Note: We’re open May through October, and during those months, we might have to close temporarily for safety reasons when river flow-rates exceed 1,300 cfs (cubic feet per second). If we need to close when you have a reservation and you can’t change your date, we will notify you of the closure and refund your money.

Twisted Sisters Farm

I bought this land to move from HoustonLearn more about this land:I widened the gate and moved my mailbox for easier access. Butane fire rings allowed on private property during a fire ban .  
Camp anywhere on 60 acres.  In one direction there are rolling meadow.  Another rocky outcropping.  Look to the south and you’ll see the BLM land that shares my fence line.  If you want access to town you’re there.  You choose how you want to feel.  In the woods, in the forest, on huge rocks, flat land or turn around and see CR 1 ( 1/4 mile driveway).  Forty five minutes west of Colorado Springs,  ten miles to Divide for grocers.  One half mile to ice, gas, pizza etc.  It is first come first serve with the sites.  Two that are near trees for large RVs.  One up higher works for pull thru trailers.  Plenty of room in the pasture.  I just got my first negative review referring to it being dry prairie land.  Some  pictures are from late last summer..  We haven’t had enough rain yet for it to green up.  Also it can be windy.

Dry Creek Farms

Black Squirrel Creek runs through the back of our beautiful praire land. Although it does not run most of the time, there have been a handful of times it has run in the past several years. Even so the soft creek sand is magnificent. The creek shore is fantastic for building sand castles. The property backs up to nothing thus preventing light pollution. It's amazing for stargazing.Learn more about this land:Beautiful views of the plains. Mountains are visible in the far distance. Nothing beyond the back of the property in sight which means no light pollution. AMAZING for stargazing. Nothing but the neighbors cows to be near in the camping area. Can see the houses off in the distance.

Nearby amenities such as a coffee shop, bar, restaurant, and grocery store are just a 2-minute car ride away. As well as all the activities such as fishing, tubing, hiking, off-roading, disc golfing, and cliff jumping Guffey Cove. This stay is truly a unique experience!
