Other things to note:
We encourage our guests to pack in their trash and take it with them, as trash cans are not provided to avoid wild animals on the property and the wind to blow the trash out.
Also, please make sure to clip the chain back to the post on the main entrance before you leave to avoid trespassing.

DISCLAIMER: This is quite different from staying in an ordinary hotel. We are really in NATURE here - these are older cottages hand-built by artists in the forest. They are very rustic! It's like living in a mountain village, with other cottages nearby. While we work very hard to keep our places pristine and spotless - if anyone in your group will faint if they see a bug or lizard or little frog inside - then this probably isn't the place for you. Please be very careful booking cottages for someone else - like your parents just arriving from another continent - they might prefer something more conventional.
Some folks describe our places as a luxurious form of camping. We make our cottages very comfortable - they have all the basics - electricity - wifi - most have kitchens, bath or shower and comfy clean beds. But they are not like a hotel with perfect walls and a sterile atmosphere. Please look at all the pictures and read all the reviews. We can't offer refunds just because we don't meet the standards of a normal hotel. Most people are charmed by this idyllic and bohemian lifestyle - but it's not for everyone.

What an amazing site! I almost want to keep it to myself but I also want everyone to know what a great site it is. It should be the ideal for others making campsites. You can't beat the price for what you get. I'm grateful that the owners share this part of their home.
The property is very well maintained, they even raked the ground and put lighting to the bathroom where a step into a tree could be stumbled upon. But definitely bring lights. We drove up to the site at night and noticed the markers easily. We didn't realize until morning that their are several RV hook ups and gardens to enjoy. Even a labyrinth! I'm very impressed and I'm looking forward to staying again. The site was very private, but at the time we were alone and did car camping. We used one of the two tables provided. The sink was locked but we made use of the toilet and shower. I also used the small spray of water that was shooting out from the hose spigot next to the restroom. Big mirror in the restroom and it had electricity. I shut off the water at night, which I hope that was okay, but I saw no need for it to spray water the whole time.
Fire wood and electricity was provided for free! Cell service also was present. Markets, restaurants, road side businesses are a short drive away. So was the RV park we went to visit.
The pictures to this place did not do it justice. The landscaping was very entertaining and fun.
I'm hoping to make this campsite a mainstay and would go out of my way to camp here again.

The private campsite had a clean bathroom, and the host was very thoughtful and kind with their messages. We really liked the setup overall.
But after around 9–10 PM, there were so many dog noises that it became really hard to get my little girls to sleep in the tent. At one point we almost packed up and left, because we kept hearing 10–15 different sounds and we honestly couldn’t tell if they were dogs, coyotes, or something else. It felt like they might come close to the tent, and that really scared us.
We also noticed what looked like dog urine around the site. We’re not pet owners, so that was uncomfortable for us. It could have been from wild coyotes, so I don’t want to blame the host, but the nonstop dog/coyote noises went on for hours and we couldn’t sleep.
There were also a lot of motorcycles in the area, and some were riding even late at night.
We left the campsite cleaner than we found it, but unfortunately, because of the nighttime dog/coyote noises, we don’t think we would return.

This was our third stay at Deb's Place and it never disappoints! Deb had made some changes to the campsites over the summer and makes me love our site #7 even more! The facilities and sites are always impeccably clean, well maintained, and well stocked. Even with it being 'close' to the rt 247, you still feel like you are a bit isolated but it makes getting down to Yucca Valley/JT easy! Thank you, Deb, for providing a wonderful desert escape that includes all the creature comforts we need!

Campground is convenient to Joshua Tree. Great accommodations (flush toilet, shower, huge outdoor kitchen, all very clean). Deb met me to show me around and was friendly and helpful. There is quite a bit of road noise, but that’s the cost of being close to a main road for easy access to the park.

I had the absolutely best time! It was so peaceful, at night all you could hear was crickets and frogs. Waking up in the trees was just beautiful. This place had everything you need! The bed was comfy and the place was cozy, true Topanga charm. The hiking trail was so lovely also. We had a sunset and morning hike. My dog enjoyed it too! Pup approved! I will most definitely be back, and recommending it to friends!

We really enjoyed Deb's place. 5 of us passing through to Joshua Tree Park. Deb has very nice amenities; cooking area with sink, electrical plug ins for Jackery type devices, hot shower, bathroom. All decorated in a fun and funky style. You can pass through quietly or catch Deb to get a lowdown on the history of the area.

We stayed at Deb's Place with some friends on our way to Joshua Tree NP. Deb has done an extraordinary job setting up the site for guests. She has thought of every detail to make the place comfortable. Everything was exceptionally clean and organized. Deb is also quite friendly and spent some time telling us about things we could do around the area and the history of the region. We were a bit worried about the noise from the country highway nearby but traffic died down in the evening and wasn't a problem. We highly recommend Deb's Place!

It was in the same area as the Highway 62 Art Tour sites (weekends Oct 1 - 21) and not far from Joshua Tree National Park. There are a couple of houses within 1/2 mile. I enjoyed staying there and the dark night sky and the stars.

I loved camping at Deb's place. We stayed at 2 different sites over 3 days in our VW Vanagon and came away very impressed. Deb's Place has a great (and clean) communal kitchen with a fridge, sink, plenty of space and cooking pots and pans. The shower was instantly hot and a welcome site after long hikes in the desert. Deb was incredibly helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this spot, especially if you have spent a few dusty days in JTNP and need a little ease and comfort.

We originally booked Deb’s camp because of the government shutdown, we didn’t want to cancel our trip to Joshua Tree — and it turned out to be such a great choice!
The site was peaceful and well laid out. We loved how each campsite felt private and spread out, yet still close enough to feel part of a little community. The bathrooms were spotless, and the communal kitchen was such a nice touch — clean, organized, and super convenient.
Deb herself was wonderful, very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We found out the national park was still partially open, so we spent our days exploring and came back to Deb’s camp each evening to relax under the stars.
Highly recommend this spot , whether you’re visiting Joshua Tree during a shutdown or not, this place is a gem!

Our host, Deb, absolutely fantastic - warm, welcoming, and clearly takes pride in the space. The vibe was just right for unplugging and recharging.
