This 1968 Shasta Camper, located in a small garden within an urban neighborhood, sleeps up to four people, with additional space to set up tents if desired. It has a few amenities—some more rustic than others—including AC, refrigerator and freezer, stovetop (oven does not work), sinks, shower, internet, and coffee maker. Located just ten minutes from the Port of Long Beach and the Port of San Pedro, it’s a great launch point for cruise-goers. With swimming beaches only twenty minutes away, it’s an ideal option for a low-cost vacation. Help yourself to the freshest fruits, vegetables, and legumes from the garden, and watch the bees, butterflies, and grasshoppers happily pollinate, creating opportunities for new growth. The property is securely locked, and the entrance is video-monitored for your safety (and ours). It’s important to note that the camper (not a glamper) is vintage, and the convenience of the urban neighborhood can sometimes come with a variety of neighborhood sounds—though it can also be extremely quiet at times. Due to the desert climate, ants may accompany the pollinators and enter the camper if food or beverages are left out. The garden is shared with our home, so some privacy may be compromised when we tend to it.

Only 30 Minutes from the Santa Monica Pier or 15 Minutes to the beaches of Malibu, still it feels like being a world away. However, some campers have found that not to be the case for them and wanted 4WD, so come prepared either way. - If you are unfamiliar navigating using GPS coordinates or with off grid camping, our location may be hard to find and may not be a good fit for you. - It can get very windy sometimes so come prepared to snuggle up in the back of your car or camper and enjoy the stunning stars, sunrises, sunsets and views. - It is considerably easier to navigate with a little daylight. - We are happy to provide you with a map as well upon request, which seems to be the most direct route. Weekend Trip to California Poppy & Wildflower Field

The land was beautiful! If you want to be isolated, then this spot is for you. It’s near a farm, which is fun because we saw sheep, cows, and dogs near our tent. We went the first week of May and thought we might see some flowers. No flowers because it hasn’t been raining there. Even the Poppy Reserve had no poppies. Heads up: it was super windy (14 mph & gust 24 mph). We were able to tolerate it during the day. The night was even windier, and we didn’t get a good sleep quality. Besides that, it was fun to meet farm animals (from a distance) and embrace the land.

Weekend Trip to Malibu Creek Orchard Retreat

A hidden-away gem. What a fun campsite! The vintage Airstresm trailer is in amazing shape. Decorated and arranged beautifully. Fabian put everything together so nicely. A bowl of fresh rosemary and lemons from their orchard on the table when we arrived. Coffee and cream packs in the fridge. Firewood and kindling and cooking utensils for the BBQ. Lovely little touches everywhere. Thr amenities are amazing. Full power in the trailer and a bathroom with instant hot water. A smart space heater for the chilly evenings and Alexa to play music and turn on the outside string and accent lights made for a really great nighttime camp experience. There is a hiking loop that is private to the site and takes you up into the hills with a bench at the top to watch the sunset it was gorgeous! Overall we can't wait to go back. There is a cabin you can also rent for larger groups they are renovating currently, when they is done, a larger group of friends would make this an incredible site for a getaway weekend. Highly recommend!

This place is great if you want a solitude getaway where you can enjoy the sunny beautiful day and star filled skies at night. Desert Castle is very rustic, you have to bring your own water, power and bathroom. The small house structure allows you to enjoy a nice indoor fireplace at night.
