I got to stay at the campsite near two redwoods and the creek, and it was absolutely Beautiful! Thanks to Rob for being so helpful. I loved this place and would definitely stay again!

Beautiful spot, rustic but homey! I wish I could've stayed longer, but I had a wonderful evening and morning thanks to Rob and Jersey, who were exceptionally gracious hosts. My dog was in heaven. Will definitely be coming back!

Upon arrival, Gene showed us around a bit and wanted us to take advantage of what they had to offer here. This property is something else. We were lucky to be the only campers during our visit. Felt relatively secluded besides the few cars driving through the 1. You can tell that this property is a place of community and full of love for the environment. Stoked to come back again one day!

1 night at The Hill Fort - Camelot

Funky place. But I like it. Know what you’re getting into, chickens, dogs and lots of peacocks. Michael is a great guy and keeps an eclectic place. It’s probably not for everybody but if your open to it, it can be cool.

I recently had the pleasure of camping at Twisted Branch, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. Perched on a hilltop, this spot offers breathtaking panoramic views that stretch for miles. Whether you’re catching the sunrise or the sunset, the scenery is truly beyond belief. One of the highlights for me was the stargazing. The clear, open sky allows for an incredible view of the stars, making it the perfect spot for anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature and enjoy the night sky. Wildlife is abundant here as well—during my stay, I spotted deer, hawks, and a variety of other birds nearby. The peaceful surroundings really give you a sense of escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The directions to Twisted Branch were straightforward, so getting there was no hassle. Jac was wonderful—welcoming us at check-in, offering helpful advice, and checking in at the end of our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend Twisted Branch for anyone looking for a serene spot to camp in.

Gene's camp was fantastic. Hop, skip, and a jump from anything in lower Big Sur. All the amenities and the sounds of the creek were ama to fall asleep to. Big shoutout to Nacho the cat for keeping us company all weekend. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back.

2 nights at Coyote Mynt Ranch, Paso Robles

We loved our stay at Dana’s ranch! We camped there for two nights and had a wonderful experience. Dana was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home. The property has beautiful, private trails perfect for quick hikes. We would absolutely recommend staying here and can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful hidden gem of a camp site. This was our second time coming back here and it was even better the second time around! Had a great time exploring the deep into the creek, hiking up into the hills and chilling out and cooking at our campsite. Sites are clean, unique and some have their own gate so it can be very private when you get settled in. Definitely coming back again sometime soon, thank you Robo, Stephanie, & Mike ☯️ Also the tubs are worth it 🧼

It was a bit of a steep climb to Jac’s site but well maintained and well worth it. Views are stunning and my kids loved watching a few little gophers pop in and out of their hidey holes. Also appreciated the instant booking option and prompt response times. Would recommend and stay again!

1 night at Vinyl Vineyards

Nice spot! We pitched a tent in site 10. Appreciated the well-maintained dirt/DG roads and pads, the site furniture, ample trashcans, and nice restrooms. Sunset Hill was a beautiful place to take in the golden hour. Our 2 young girls rode bikes throughout the campground and enjoyed looking at the airstream units. I caught 6 deer in the early morning, grazing near the site! Didn’t use the communal kitchen/bbq area, but looked well-equipped. Will definitely look to return and have already recommended it to family who likes to visit the area - especially for the airstream glamping setup.

Weekend Trip to Coyote Mynt Ranch, Paso Robles

We stayed in a charming recently renovated Airstream trailer located in a clearing in the low forest of the coastal range. Local wild life was abundant and dramatic ranging from ground squirrels and woodpeckers to deer and a red tail hawk. Mid April in the low 80s was pleasant~much lower starts to get “prepare for it” cold at night. Just north of loads of wineries. Expect tasting fees with 2-3 ~$60 bottle minimum purchases and you should have a good time. Lots to do in Paso Robles, just ask around.

Weekend Trip to dabudage Big Sur

We loved this place! We only stayed on night along our drive home. Really nice coming from the north even though Hwy 1 north of the property was closed. A beautiful/ kinda scary drive but if you go slow, it’s an experience. Reminded me of the road to Hana! lol! You gotta be into rustic vibes. Epic view, full moon rise. Creek side fire. We are it up! The redwood Gazebo is up a steep hill. We backpacked up with our sleeping bags, pillows and other little essentials. We wish we would have done all our business down low before we hiked up. I’d bring a couple libations and snacks. Chilling up in the perch is epic! We will be back!!

Our family absolutely loved staying at Vinyl Vineyards! The cleanliness and accommodations were amazing. We particularly enjoyed the grilling and fire pit area. The bathrooms and showers were great and we very much appreciated all the little touches we found around the campground. We will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our two nights at Vinyl Vineyard. Lots of open space with nice views of surrounding country side in Paso Robles. Jeff is a great host and very responsive. His Rose wine is great too!

At the base of a majestic canyon where steep mountains plunge to the ocean, along a flowing creek. Backed by redwood trees and surrounded by national forest is a minimalistic homestead with family, friends and animals. *We currently only accept reservations for dates within the next 3 weeks*. You must Arrive Before Dark to find your site. There is no wi-fi, cell service or electricity. Hwy 1 is currently closed to the north of this land. The only access is through Cambria from the south or over the mountain from King City off of Hwy 101 There is a small communal guest kitchen, fresh water, a shower/bath and composting barrel poopers. A massive flood in Jan 2021 brought 100's of gigantic full sized redwood trees and boulders smashing down thru most of the previous structures. It is in the process of rebuilding. Children are welcome. Alcohol is discouraged. No electronic music devices. Fires in designated pits only. Dogs are welcome off-leash. Pack out trash. Creekside Camping and Mineral Baths

We can accommodate tent campers or car campers. Each campsite fits 4-6 people. The price is $40/per person. Kids under 12 are free. Most campsites are accessible by car and all campsites are accessible by foot. PLEASE NOTE, we do not have a traditional check in procedure. Campsites are first come first serve. Expect a "self-check in process" most of the time. However, there are sometimes people working onsite that you may run into, that are happy to help and lead you in the right direction. You choose your own campsite so plan to arrive early. You can park and walk around. There is signage that says "CAMP" with Arrows. BYO water. We have sulfur spring water. Great for your skin, not good to drink! There's a couple outhouses on the property. One in the main camp zone, one at the far north end of the lower Redwood campsite. You can also bring a shovel and take a walk if you're in the more remote campsites. We have a dumpster outside the gate for your garbage. IMPORTANT INFO Please don't mind our farm junk/tools as you enterGate 1! We are slowly working on clean up and relocation of materials from the entry road and away from view. Before you arrive, have knowledge of poison oak because it is a native plant. The main photos in the listing are taken from Hipcamp Scouts back in 2018 and they are featuring our Original campsite. This is located past the mineral baths. It's the furthest one to reach, and accessible by foot. We named our property the Twisted Branch after one of the big oak trees that sits on the site where you will camp with us! It's on a hilltop with amazing views in nearly all directions. The campsite faces South/West so sunsets are fantastic. We use no chemicals on the soil or annual grasses. It is very quiet and the night sky is always stunning. Owls hoot at night and Redtail Hawks hunt for ground squirrels during the day. We have alot of Acorn woodpeckers living in the oak trees, the ones with the bright red head feathers. April through June we see bright yellow Orioles. At night you will hear hundreds of little frogs in the nearby ponds, depending on the season. We are located in the heart of Wine Country and there are plenty of activities around us and in town.

The Hill Fort - Camelot

Camelot was founded on the Summer Solstice, in the year 2000, by a small group of like minded people as a peaceful refuge from the trappings and ills of society. The name "Camelot" was chosen because of the groups' belief in a round table approach to problem solving, and the desire to reach a unanimous group consensus in any course of action which might affect any one individual of the group. A pendragon was elected as the the lifetime group leader, or "first among equals". This position exists today, though the members of the original group have faded into history. We are located a 45 minute drive from Carmel Valley, CA and 50 minutes from Pinnacles National Park. We have 15 tent and RV sites available. We can only accommodate vehicles under 25 ft and there are no hookups. No campfires allowed. Wifi only works in certain areas of the property. Pets are welcome but must be kept on leash. We have a toilet and shower but campers must supply their own soap, shampoo and towels. Please note, there are a lot of animals nearby so there will be noise at night.

We have gates, and we have a general equine liability form for you to complete, and then we can give you the gate code. I have been here for 14 years. I have an organic farm, polo club, boarding stables, a few gypsy friends and 2 kids. If you are looking for a place to crash while enjoying San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay and Los Osos this is it!! If you want to learn to ride or play polo... that is my real job. Guests love it here: "My husband, friends, and our dogs spent Thanksgiving at Megan’s farm. Megan was welcoming, patient (I asked her a number of questions) and responsive - even on Thanksgiving evening. The property is in a GREAT location so close to SLO, Montaña de Oro, Morro Bay, wineries and so much more. (The weather prevented us from experiencing that and so much more but it’s easy to build a great trip when staying at Megan’s place.) It was a unique experience and if you enjoy or interested in horses - this is a great spot to stay."
