We have four lovely Glamping sites at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park and 25 miles of hiking trails, nestled in the glorious chaparral of the Mayacama Mountain Range and Sonoma Hills, deep in the heart of wine country. The cost is $150 per night on weekends (Fri and Sat) and $125 per night on weekdays (Sun-Thurs). There is a 2-night minimum stay required between Memorial Day and Labor Day. In our family-friendly campground, our tents are 16-Foot Canvas and come with one queen-size bed, two futon lounge chairs (May be converted to twin beds), rugs, tables, lighting, and complementary firewood the first night. At no additional cost, we can add up to two twin beds to each tent upon request to sleep up to 6 people. 8 people max allowed at the campsite. The glamping sites include a picnic table, fire ring, outdoor seating, and room for additional tents if desired. All sites are easy walking distance to flush toilets and a bathhouse, with large, clean, coin operated hot shower rooms. There is no cell service in the park, but free WiFi is available at the Visitor Center. PLEASE NOTE that Bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets) IS NOT included in a standard rental, but is available as an add-on. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding whenever possible. If no bedding is added, we will assume a one-queen setup with mattress covers only. We kindly ask guests to provide at least 48-hour notice if bedding will be required. We will always try to accommodate last-minute requests, but we cannot guarantee this. PETS and SMOKING ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE our glamping tents! This is strictly enforced, and you WILL be charged a $150 cleaning fee for any violation of this policy. Parking: Your reservation includes parking for one vehicle. There is an additional $10 per night per vehicle charge for more than one vehicle, which you can pay for at the Visitor's Center upon check-in. Welcome to Wise Oak Farm, a unique tiny house compound on 5 acres located between Santa Rosa and Sebastopol. The stay area consists of four buildings, the main one being a super cozy tiny house built on a 16' trailer, filled with custom woodwork and unique details. It sleeps up to four and has a kitchen (sink, microwave/oven, mini fridge, and propane stove) and small dining area. Immediately adjacent is a luxury "outhouse" with full sized hot shower and a composting toilet. There is an additional converted farm shed with a pull out couch and TV to relax comfortably indoors (the "rec room"). The outdoor area consists of a breakfast patio and large barn with couches and dining table. We are just starting to develop the property as a working farm. Currently we have a dozen chickens, 30+ fruit trees, and cows pasturing in the main field. The location is fantastic for exploring the area. In the middle of wine country, it's only a thirty minute drive to the coast or to the redwoods, and one hour from San Francisco. Plus easy access to the bike path leading to both Santa Rosa and Sebastopol. Weather issues: The tiny house has heating but no AC, which is not normally an issue unless daytime temperatures are in the mid 90s or higher. Summer nighttime temps are usually in the 50s and the space cools rapidly with windows open. The rec room has both heating and AC, which can be slept in in the case of extreme temperatures. In the winter, heavy rainfall can make the stay unpleasant as you need to move outside frequently between buildings.

We are conveniently located off of US 101, therefore there may be some freeway noise, during commute hours especially. It has become like white noise to me, but it is only fair to mention it. We offer full hookups which consists of 50 amp & 110 volt electrical outlets, potable water, sewage dump. We also have one pigtail available (with a refundable deposit) if needed to convert 50 amp to 30 amp. We also have one place in the middle of our big vineyards with a 30 amp and water only. No sewer. Our sites are located one mile from Healdsburg plaza, the heart of Sonoma County Wine Country. Our town offers amazing wineries, fantastic restaurants, and quaint shops. It is an excellent place for wine lovers. There is a pre-prohibition winery right across the road called Foppiano. There are many other fabulous wineries are nearby. Ask the host for discount passes or complimentary tasting cards for some of the local wineries. We are in an excellent location for outdoor adventurers. There are plenty of hiking trails near by as well as bike rental shops for those who enjoy trekking, and even a couple of rafting places right here on the Russian River. We are close to places like Armstrong Woods, Safari West, Getaway Adventures, The Sonoma County Fairgrounds which hosts the Summer Country Concerts among other events, Harmony Festival, Santa Rosa Full Camp; Half Marathons Camp; 5K, Sonoma Zip-line Adventures, and Much More! Excellent Group Site! We only host one group at a time so you can be with your family and friends in a large, flat and private space. Choose between the campground, the cabin, or both! You can add the cabin to your campground stay under "extras'! The land was originally purchased in the 1980's. Since then, it has been used by four generations of the family as a place to gather, relax, camp and even celebrate. I had my wedding on the property in 2010. For a few years we held an annual music festival with the very inventive name of Samapalooza. Up to 400 people would attend the day filled with live music, food and drinks. You will still find the stage and bar we built as an outdoor kitchen and dining area. Around 2008, my father and I planted our first olive trees. Many have been planted since which has gifted the land the timeless sense of purpose it deserves. My father dedicated his last years to tending the young trees and now I have taken the mantle to carry the farm forward. 'The Property', as it is known amongst family and friends has always been a place to camp. I have sat around the same fire ring for decades, rain or shine. I hope that fellow hipcampers can find the joy that my family and I have experienced here. This is a very private camp on a small olive farm. Geographically close to highways and the town of Novato, Sonoma and Napa wine country, this camp feels remote and secluded. Only one camp on the property to keep it private and special. You basically have your run of the land. We have just updated the land and made some nice improvements. Located on ten acres, you will drive past a small olive grove before reaching the spacious and open campground. Just up the hill from the camp is a private pond where you can fish, take out a small boat or just sit and watch the birds. It can be great swimming on hot summer days. This spot has been used by the family for decades and is now open to share with fellow nature lovers. Weekend Trip to Celebration Retreat

This was the perfect little spot to stay for a couple nights while passing through the area. Pat is such a nice host, and this site is very cute tucked into the garden. If you like hummingbirds this is a good spot, they were everywhere! And since our stay was in August, we were serenaded to sleep by the frogs :)

Beautiful spot. We stayed in a trailer on the property which was very comfortable and spacious. Soooo quiet out there! Outside the trailer was a dry heat sauna, fire pit and chairs next to tall sunflowers and amaranth. Just a really great place to get away and minutes to Dylan beach. Thanks Guido!

The hosts are so friendly and helpful. The camping is beautiful with clean facilities. It’s mostly quiet while we were there for a midweek. Nature is great.

Glamping site number 1, which is on camping spot number 30 on the map. Late morning sun, with shade in evening and cooled off nights from being under the canopy of trees, and fern and moss covered rocks and boulders within the trees and hill behind camp.

My family spent 4 days/3 nights at Sugarloaf for our summer vacation, staying in Glamping Site #1 (Site 30). It was the perfect balance between traditional camping and the comfort of a camper or RV, complete with beds and chairs, and most importantly, no setup or takedown hassle. The campground is clean, and the bathrooms are much nicer than many rest stops. The camp hosts are incredibly helpful, informative, providing support and modern essentials when needed. There are MANY hiking trails for different skill levels, winding through meadows, forests, and creeks. Each trail offers its own reward, but two standout trails make the effort unforgettable: one with spectacular waterfalls and, at the summit, a breathtaking “top of the world” view stretching across Sonoma County all the way to SF Bay. The kind of views that make you forget how hard you had to work to get there. After your hike, stop by the Visitors Center and reward yourself with an It’s-It ice cream sandwich, which they keep well stocked! The grounds are beautiful, with fascinating flora and fauna. There is an Observatory nearby, which you should take a cue from and look up, because the night sky is incredible! With virtually no light pollution, you can see countless stars and even the Milky Way. But don’t get lost at night, or you may get guided back by the headless hiker. 😱 OVERALL RATING: ⛺️⛺️⛺️⛺️ 4 tents out of 5! A fantastic campground for solo campers, families, and groups. We’d definitely return.

We loved staying Swallowtail Studios. This place is a gem and Bill was so helpful and kind. It was comfortable and our short trip was easy for us while on the road. It is a beautiful property with great views. We enjoyed watching the birds and weather go by, a great respite for us.

Weekend Trip to The Crooked Cedar Cottage

This cottage is a hidden gem tucked just outside of Sebastopol with easy access to the Russian River, Bodega Bay, and plethora vineyards! Michelle and Jacques were phenomenal hosts, and their pup is a total sweetheart. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub with the lights off, with a clear view of the night sky. The yard is spacious with lots of room for our own dogs to run and relax, and we fell asleep to the sound of crickets both nights. We almost had to cancel our trip due to a nearby fire. Michelle offered a refund before we even knew about it, but thankfully conditions improved and we just had to switch to a different date. Thank you again for your generosity!

Weekend Trip to Camp Westy Wine Country

We loved glamping in the Westfalia. Everything was set up for us. Had a wonderful time making smores at the campfire 🔥 (bring a fire starter) and watching the stars. Out toddler loved it too. It was a wonderful quick getaway . There was another Westfalia Nextdoor to us that we made friends with & enjoyed hearing the roosters in the morning . Great location Close to Napa, & Sonoma with great places to eat and many wineries. Check out Traintown in Sonoma if looking for a family friendly place to go.

Guido was such a kind and wonderful host. The Badger’s Den has a great spacious vibe and the bed was so comfortable. The sauna and cold plunge were a great way to start the day and the farm animals are also very welcoming and so sweet.
