We loved camping at SoCal Campgrounds. It was very quiet and all the sites seemed very private so it didn't seem like we were right next to the next camper. The bathrooms and showers were clean! They have to be the nicest restrooms we have ever used while camping. Follow the directions that Fall sends you! They are super accurate and will get you to the campsites with ease. We definitely plan on staying there again

3 nights at Easy RV Vista

It's a lovely spot, very convenient to all of north San Diego county. It's inland enough to be subject to warmer temps, but in early Summer, it is all June gloom and temps are lovely. But you'll be needing those hookups because solar will get you next to nothing when it is overcast until 3p every day. I loved the neighborhood. Friendly folks stopped by to say hi when it was apparent I was going to be around for a bit. The neighbors across the street have a VERY active volleyball and basketball court that might qualify as noisy if it weren't exactly the kind of noise I find super pleasant to listen to - people having outdoor fun with their friends. And they were never late or early with it. The hosts were super accommodating of my doing pretty significant work on my RV while I was there - I resealed my roof and then installed a whole bunch of solar - I asked first. They received deliveries. The made some scrap wood available to me. I worry I may have overstepped what they thought they were committing to, but I made sure to try to keep the site very presentable except when I was actively working on it every day, so I hope it wasn't unwelcome. Various neighbors tried to recruit me to fix their RVs on several occasions. Turns out the nearest dump station is also really convenient. I didn't discover that until I had already made other plans, but the local Elks lodge is super convenient.

A lot of really cool history intertwined with this camping area. The views are spectacular, a bouquet of different colored flowers and to many birds to keep track of. We loved our stay and can’t wait to go back. Tim.

Weekend Trip to Desert Dreamland

The owner's instructions were essential! We arrived late evening (not recommended) but were able to still find the gate to the campsite. The pinpoint map link provided helped to show that the small path to turn into the campsite is before the listed address (same side of the road). The "make your own hike" was such a luxury! Plenty of space to explore, large rocks to boulder, and on-site trails provide options for difficulty depending on preference. Private and calm, perfect for our cattle breed dog to roam off leash during our hikes. Amazing view of the vista on one side, the valley/canyon to the other. So beautiful especially at dusk! The desert heat/dryness is no exaggeration-even at just 90 degrees! As forewarned by Marlon, shade structure and plenty of liquids were essential. We experienced some winds during the day, but they flowed in a stable direction. Fortunately, our shade structure held up, staking our poles down and using the stable picnic table bench for added bracing were critical. Fortunate too with the weather during the last weekend of May, as we experienced a refreshing 10-degeee drop in temp on our second day. Thank you Marlon for offering this opportunity for our family to have a memorable experience in the desert!

Weekend Trip to Splitrock Farm and Retreat

We absolutely loved our girl trip to Split Rock Farm & Retreat! It was an unforgettable trip filled with baby goats, an alpaca, 2 pigs and the hosts two working dogs visiting and occasionally hanging out at our campsite. We stayed in the Split Rock Spring campsite which is right across from the camp store. The camp store was well stocked, had 2 outdoor showers with hot water and a bathroom. They even had e-bikes we could rent to tour the entire 101 acres of the property. We only stayed for 2 nights but I would highly recommend 3 nights minimum. I could have stayed longer and immersed myself in the natural beauty of the land, the animals, birds under the sun, moon and stars. Next time I think I’ll stay in one of the glamping spots with my husband. All in all it was a wonderful experience. We will be back! 2 nights at Splitrock Farm and Retreat

Great place! We stayed two nights with two kids. They LOVED to explore and climb the rocks and had to be fed there on occasion… :) The best was when a llama came by to the base on the biggest rock where they sat. The fire pit is awesone and right next to a water spigot. One of the days we stayed it was 100 degrees out for a couple of hours. The civil outdoor showers neraby were a rescue for all. The breeze from the ocean took care of the heatwave in minutes and we had another fantastic evening by the fire on the rocks! Thank you! We’ll be back for sure.

We loved this spot a lot, great for short stays or fishing trips, I wouldn't recommend for long stays with little ones, it could get really loud because the street next to it plus neighbors across front have noisy dogs, also the porta potty waste really dirty and some visible trash around the property during our stay probably from long weekend previously guests, anyway it was a good trip.

Saddle Up Ranch is a lovely, tranquil place to camp and a horse lovers paradise. My family were amazed with the beauty of these rescued horses that all seemed so sweet and friendly. We are looking forward to come back for a trail ride. The goats are super cute.

A variety of rocks and minerals can be found for those rock hound enthusiasts as well. At the camp site you will find a horseshoe pit ,indoor and outdoor games and treasure hunts for everyone to enjoy. If you want to bring your own set of golf clubs you can even hit some balls! Pets and horses are welcome. We provide Two horse corrals with feed buckets and access to water. There is a outdoor dog kennel. There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt. Not to far there is a Casino, small store and a restaurant and about 30 minutes away from the Temecula wineries. You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV big enough for 6 people if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). and has indoor and outdoor lights and electrical outlets to plug in a fan or your phone and, there is a microwave to use. We have a cooler for you to use bur you will need to provide your own ice. There are dishes and utensils and a toilet. and water in and outside (You will need to bring your own blankets, sleeping bags and towels). Also provided arepropane b.b.q, propane fire ring, outdoor bench, table and camp chairs. There is enough room on this property to bring your own camper, RV or tent or ? but it must be self contained. So to keep in the spirit of ethical sustainability along with ensuring a high quality and great tasting product, we purchase ingredients from local organic farmers and shelf products that not only have the USDA Organic seal, but are non-GMO, ethically harvested and in some cases certified Kosher. One day we hope to meet you and share our story with you by introducing you to the fruit trees my father grew from seed and let you feel the soft fiber of our eclectic herd of misfit Alpacas while you watch the glorious Southern California sunset touch the hot desert horizon we call home.
