Cold Creek is a unique 112-acre property in the San Bernardino National Forest. Because of its location in a 3,200 foot elevation, it's colder than the Southern California deserts and warmer than the cold mountains above us. Our temperatures rarely exceed 90F and rarely drop below 40F. We have plenty sun and about two to three days of snow every winter. A year-around creek keeps everything green and fresh around the year. We are the second owners since 1913, and operate a small organic orchard on the property. We are most famous for our honey, peaches and figs, but also grow apples, pears, persimmon, blackberries, greens, bay leaf, white sage and more.For years , we were WWOOF hosts (look it up ;-) and resisted opening up Cold Creek to traffic associated with daily camping arrivals, but we finally found the perfect spots for visitors to park their RVs, spend a quiet night and visit the orchard by foot.We are now excited by the prospect of focusing on expanding our micro-farming and inviting campers to look over our shoulders.

It's so nice to "meet you" my name is Taryn and my hubby's name is Anson. We are parents to two-year-old twins, so saying we have our hands full is an understatement. Anson is a folk and blues musician and has traveled
all around the U.S. playing his music and I work for a children's book company. One day, we decided that we wanted to live the rest of our lives hosting live music, and events and that's how Rock & Tree began. As the idea grew, we wanted to create an Open Canvas so that the guest could dream up what they wanted on our stage. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, re purposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees.
Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events. Creekside Cabin: 468 sq. ft, a beautiful deck backing up to the national forest, with propane fire pit(you supply your own propane tank), and charcoal bbq(you bring your own charcoal), overlooking fresh water creek, outdoor shower, large fireplace, open floor plan, living room with cozy queen bed, open to upstairs loft 2 full beds, and a twin bed. This cabin has the option to add the vintage trailer in the driveway June - October only as an additional space. Does not have electricity, bathroom or heating for $75 per day. Trailer not available other times of the year due to cold night temps.
Vintage 1937 Cabin: larger indoor space 1304 sq. ft. , a rock front patio, Wood stove in living room, open to upstairs loft 2 full beds, private large bedroom with another wood stove w/ queen bed and twin fold out couch, laundry room, enclosed patio with gas bbq, and a charcoal bbq on front patio(you supply your own charcoal)..
Both cabins:
Require 4 wheel drive and chains or two wheel drive and chains during winter storm snow days due to remote location.
Big falls waterfall is just a short hike away, as well as the trailhead for Vivian creek Trail. Come spend time nestled in the Coulter Pines, oaks, and maple trees.
Your neighbors are raccoons, and bears, property is situated on the edge of the San Bernardino National Forest at the top of the mountain.
You truly feel like you're in the high Sierras just 1.5 hours from Los Angeles. Big Bear Lake is a 45 minute drive away.
In town you will find Elkhorn General Store and El Mexicano Mexican Restaurant, both close early:).

This is a great spot tucked away up in the hills. There is a lot of room to spread out the camp sites and set up different activities. It had everything we needed for a group camping trip. You can’t beat the views from the deck overlooking the lake/city. Caleb is an awesome and friendly host, very accommodating for our trip. Make sure to maintain a little speed going up the dirt hill.

Great farm stay with an excellent host! We loved the tour of the farm animals and spent most of our time on the cabana patio, which provided excellent shelter from the wind. The bathroom plumbing was a little finicky but worked fine for us. Tip: Bring some extra lighting for the patio area just in case. We had a great time!

The A frames with bedding and lighting offer a quiet retreat after being outside and exposed to the desert. This is especially true during the windy month of April. The outdoor flushing toilet sink and shower are private and airy. There is also a partitioned and inviting kitchen/gathering space for cooking and eating at a table. We walked, and walked in every direction from the A frame (since it is tucked away from the road) without having to cross a street or intrude on neighbors. We saw wonderful birds and wildflowers, various Joshua trees and jack-rabbits. We heard coyote in the distance. Devil's Punchbowl is a short drive away...and must be experienced. Lake Los Angeles is a 7 minute drive away and has a Dollar General store...which has everything food, drink, necessities related. Osman created a very welcoming outdoor and indoor space that is well lit and safe and clean and warm and quiet...we loved out stay.

We had a great stay here! I went with a group of 5! We had 2 large tents and also a very large shade tent. Plenty of space. The host was very kind and responsive. The views were beautiful.

This campsite was absolutely amazing! The views were breathtaking—peaceful, scenic, and the perfect place to unwind. The site felt very private, which made the whole experience even more relaxing and special.
The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights for our family was the animals—such a fun and unique touch! The kids absolutely loved interacting with them and didn’t want to leave.
Overall, it was a perfect getaway for both adults and kids. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Weekend Trip to Star Ranch
We had an amazing time staying at Osman’s ranch. The property was beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for a camping getaway. The A-frame setup made the experience feel unique while still being comfortable and well thought out.
Osman was super professional and an amazing host from start to finish. He was responsive, welcoming, and made sure everything was smooth for our group. You can tell he truly cares about creating a great experience for his guests.
The space was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed. Being able to have campfires and bring pets made it even better. It was the perfect spot to relax, enjoy nature, and spend quality time with friends.
Would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable outdoor stay.

Our stay at this cabin in Green Valley Lake was everything we needed and more. It was the perfect escape from the city.
The cabin itself was incredibly spacious and well maintained. With three floors and four outdoor decks, there was no shortage of places to unwind and take in the peaceful forest views.

My gf and I and her mom we tent camped at the Cityscape Farm View Summit and it was PERFECT, private, peaceful and the view was beyond amazing. Shane, was awesome and was very responsive and accommodating. Feels like you're truly out somewhere in Napa Valley. The farm was very beautiful, highly recommend and we will be back again SOON!

Awesome location and setting. Sitting at 3000 ft, you can enjoy the cool breeze without dealing with altitude issues, occasional snow. I would have love to stop by when fresh apples and figs were being sold. Close enough to civilization not needing high clearance vehicle but nestled in such a way that you feel you are far away from the rat race. Ill be back!
