Nopalito Farm has been in operation since late 2014, but the property itself has been a working farm for over 50 years. Lemons and avocados were the primary crops from the 70’s through the 00’s, and are still prominent throughout our 15 acres. Our predecessors then diversified the growing operation by planting a wide range of fruit trees ranging from guavas and passion fruit to peaches and figs. For a decade, hops were grown on 2 acres and were sold to breweries throughout southern California. We’ve since replaced the hop yard with perennial flowers, but continue to cultivate a wide variety of delicious fruits.

We purchased Namaste Farms in 1997 when I was showing reined cowhorses as well as raising thoroughbred racehorses. In 2005, I purchased my first wool sheep and fell in love. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. The black kitten stayed at our camp all night and cuddled on our laps by the fire. It was such a lovely experience. Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

Easy to get to, the property is very nice. My camper is 24 feet, and in my case, leveling was necessary, but if your camper is smaller, you won't need to do anything. Everything was very pleasant; I recommend it.

Booking: Lance was incredibly responsive when I had questions about whether or not his campsite would be the right fit for our large group.
Breakthrough Campsite: We were allowed to arrive early to beat the traffic coming from Orange County. We met Daniel and Mac who made sure our campsite was ready, including fresh sheets and a fresh mopping of the enclosed tent. Daniel also brought us potable water for us to wash our hands and clean dishes.
It was such a luxury to be able to sleep on a comfortable bed and inside a huge tent that was already set up for us. There were exterior solar powered lights and an option to plug in an external USB battery to internal tent lights.
The tent was large enough to sleep two adults and 8 girls comfortably with plenty of room for all of our sleeping bags and personal items.
The campfire was easy to use thanks to Daniel hooking up a propane tank.
Daniel and Mac even took all ten of us on their small trucks around the property for an adventure tour. They picked apples and grapefruit for us right off the trees.
The three friendly and well behaved ranch dogs were a highlight. We felt safe knowing they were patrolling the grounds at night.
Yes, the chairs could be replaced, the portable toilets could be cleaner, and the campsite was quite the journey to get there, but all that were minor inconveniences compared to the absolute great service provided by the team.
I would highly recommend this campsite to others and return again.

Weekend Trip to Fallbrook View Glamping Tent
My husband and I had a great stay at this property. It was easy to find our tent, the bathrooms were clean, the owner responds quickly to questions, and the views are beautiful!! Like others have mentioned the only downer were the loud roosters, however it wouldn’t be a dealbreaker. I’d just come prepared with ear plugs. It’s still worth staying and enjoying. I highly recommend!

The view was great, the campsites were well spaced out, the tent was clean, and the property's dogs were a friendly delight! The manager gave us a warm welcome, and the host was very communicative. The property itself felt a little run-down, and the creek was hard to access because it was overgrown, but we had a great time. Thank you Lance!

What a fantastic place. I found Ben’s property on a last-minute whim looking for an overnight getaway for some tranquility. The amenities were great, the camp store was fun and watching all of the goats roam and play was a welcome distraction from the day-to-day city life.
I highly recommend booking here and I fully intend to return.
Next time will sign-up for yoga with goats!

We booked this spot mainly for its proximity to an event we were attending, but it ended up being such a pleasant surprise. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and clearly well cared for. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and kind, which made our stay feel even more comfortable. Our only regret is that we didn’t have more time to stay and fully explore everything the property has to offer. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to others!

Weekend Trip to Agave Azul Del Sol
Eric was super friendly and hospitable. The cabin is cozy, clean, and located on the side of the mountain for insane views the second you step out the door. We were able to see stars so clearly at night for a meteorite shower. The compost bathroom was so convenient, queen mattress was really comfy, and grill was perfect for all of our meals. My pup ran around the property safely and we didn’t encounter any coyotes or snakes. This area is full of incredible hikes and kind people- would 100% recommend
