Sagewinds Farm is the first certified organic white sage farm in the world. Located in the high desert of San Diego county, between 3500 feet and 3800 ft. this beautiful 40 acres features caves, massive boulders to climb, views, flat land and privacy. At night the stars are magnificent and the milky way is visible...there are meteor showers several times a year. Permanent residents in the barn are the 2 mini horses to visit and four wonderful dogs. The nights are always cool and usually below 60% so be prepared to sleep well, even if the days are hot. There is almost always a breeze and sometimes a wind, so bring your kites. There are visiting animals that past thru and could include, coyotes, bobcats, Coatis, foxes, rabbits, quail, hawks and mountain lions. There are also some snake and lizards. We do have rattlesnakes. To make up for the rattlers we offer two flush toilets!
Camp on the healthy, beautiful and first Certified Organic White Sage Farm in the World. I like to tell people that this is sacred land and it is. Come see the magnificent boulder formations. About the property
Our property is in the high desert above Borrego Springs at 4,300'. We border Anza Borrego State property which means you’ll be adjacent to plenty of beautiful open spaces. There are many trails in the park which lead to the desert floor from our fence line. On a clear day you can see the Salton Sea from the bottom of the property.
We have great access to nearby points of interest including Borrego Springs which is 20 miles away, Anza Borrego State Park which is adjacent to Julian at 40 miles away, Palomar observatory which is 40 miles away and Cuyamaca Lake which is fantastic for fishing only 45 miles away. If you need to pop into town for any supplies or services you can access Borrego Springs (20 miles away), Julian (40 miles away), Ramona (45 miles away), and Temecula (50 miles away).
We have 3 horseshoe pits and 9 frisbee golf baskets for recreation onsite and we have incredible dark skies for excellent stargazing. You may see many different forms of wildlife including mountain lions, coyotes, foxes, bob cats, racoons, badgers, and rattle snakes. You will see many rabbits, squirrels and tons of birds of all kinds! We are really the perfect location for those who love the outdoors!
Owners live on site but we like to greet, meet, and then leave you to your stay! Please reach out if you have questions or concerns though.
About the listing
Our listing is for tents, vans and truck campers, trailers, or RV’s and we can accommodate rigs up to 25ft in length. A few of our 5 sites are pull through sites on dirt and may require some leveling. All sites are dry camping only as we do not have any hookups, though there are two bathrooms and water available in a centralized area on the property.
You can expect High desert and scrub brush environments. Any vehicle should be able to access our property but 4-wheel drive vehicle might make it a little easier to access areas on the outside perimeter of the property. While staying with us you can expect some noise from coyotes, raven….wind and a little highway traffic on s22.

The facilities were beyond expectations and we had a seamless experience. Steve was super accommodating and was great at communicating—he even gave us a small tour of the property!
The sunsets and sunrises here were something out of a dream, we wish we could wake up every morning here.

We really enjoyed our time at Wildseeds Ranch. In fact, we stayed much longer than planned. The welcoming community of people, the lovely ranch itself with the cool river running through it, the great dog park, and outdoor kitchen...there are so many things to recommend about this Hipcamp. And the host, Lexi, was great to work with.
If you're looking for a place to stay in the San Diego area, I highly recommend Wildseeds Ranch. It's far enough out of the city to enjoy nature and close enough to get where you want.

Wild Seeds Ranch is a great place to stay and hangout for a while. The intentional community feel, the amazing host and other wonderful people who live here all make it a unique and pleasant place to spend time. There are so many amenities --we especially enjoyed the dog park where our dogs could roam and play safely. For the reasonable rates, I can think of no better place to stay around San Diego. Dulzura has a fabulous Mexican restaurant and Jamul offers an amazing fruit market.

Very nice serene location with plenty of room to walk and see nature. The owner's came to visit with us when we pulled into the site and provided some general guidance on the location of the pond area, and other interesting sites. He also let us park in another open area since we were the only people there that night. We had a great visit with our 20' van. Pet friendly (on leash) location with plenty of sites to visit and see. Clean restrooms are facilities. Plenty of wildlife to see and stars to gaze at. We'll be back.

We slept SO WELL at Coyote Moon. It’s so peaceful, dark and quiet - exactly what we needed after a beautiful but disruptive night of sleep in Joshua Tree. Adil is a great Host, creating a strong sense of welcome and safety while supporting your privacy and seclusion. The view from the site is really beautiful and there were great flowers while we there!! As a heads up you will be camping fairly close to the house but the site is lovely, private and peaceful. Adil is a very helpful host and Coyote Moon is exactly what one would hope for. The bonus with Coyote Moon is the feeling of solitude yet with the convenience of being near so many things to do. 20 min drive for everything from great hiking to good beer. Very dog friendly as well.

I absolutely loved my stay at Wild Seeds Ranch on the Nomad site! The option for electricity was a complete game changer—it kept my phone and lights fully charged and made my stay so much easier and more comfortable.
Lexi is a wonderful hostess! She was incredibly attentive to all my texts and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The hospitality here is unmatched, and I was so grateful for the invite to the community Thanksgiving feast. Everyone was so warm and welcoming—it truly felt like being part of a little family.
Waking up to the gorgeous views each morning was such a treat. The sound of the birds and the peaceful rhythm of ranch life made the entire experience feel authentic and refreshing, especially compared to my usual day-to-day in the city.
I will definitely be staying again. Highly, highly recommend!

I was so surprised about the beauty of the campsite. The creek was very refreshing after a long drive, the people living in the old restored house so friendly and welcoming and the garden and hanging spots to relax were just like you see them in the movies. Absolutely loved it!

Wild Seeds Ranch is a magical little community tucked away in the hills of Dulzura. Beautiful property for tent camping, van life, and a large lot for larger RV’s. The residents are all friendly and the weather is great, cannot recommend enough!

Love my short stay-over at Wild Seeds. I arrived just after dusk and pulled onto the site. It was so tranquil - the evening birds, crickets and other sounds of nature - distant crows 🥰. I slept the best I have in weeks and woke refreshed. I appreciated their off leash policy for pets, my boy Chubbs enjoyed the roaming freedom. We didn’t stay long, but we did walk about before leaving sanding I’m ever in the area again, I’d definitely return to take advantage of a longer stay. Thanks!
Also… I LOVED the winding roads and scenery leading up to our stay.

Brought my trailer to Good Vibes Ranch for a couple of nights of camping and 3 rounds of disc golf. Loved the disc golf course and the rest of the property. Cool hosts. Nice bathroom and shower facilities. Such a relaxing getaway. Go visit and play the disc golf course and stay a few nights.
