Walking distance to Johnson’s Landing Cafe and the powered para-glider glide port in Salton City. 1 mile to fuel and eateries. Perfect for those accessing Truck Haven and Tierra Del Sol, and other off-road events. No shade provided on property. Nearest neibor is 1/4 mile away. Keep an eye on your pets, as there may be predators and stray dogs in the area. SOFT GROUND, if unaccustomed to driving on sand, save yourself a recovery and park on the street. AWD does not mean you won’t get stuck. Otherwise, use 4 wheel drive if on the property, minimum 8” ground clearance for rocks, alley access is recommended. Overall we had a great trip once we went left. On this post there isn’t any clarity on how many houses and lights that are facing right at you. I thought we were going to a plot of land that was pretty desolate but to my surprise there were random houses with really bright lights a couple yards away. On top of that a there’s a white RV that is right next to the camp site with a large fence around it that also wasn’t listed at all on the post. If you don’t mind the buildings, random RVs, and bright lights then this is your spot but it wasn’t mine personally. :)

Great place to tent camp! Not too far from the main road with easy to follow directions to the spot. Awesome fire pit! Does get a bit windy. Great views of the sunrise/sunset and starry night sky.

It was lovely to be out in the desert. The sunrise was spectacular. The campsite is a nice space and wasn't at all crowded. Two thumbs up!

We loved tent camping on Ryan’s land. Great fire ring. Close to interesting Salton Sea nostalgia. Recommend taking a drive around Salton Sea to Bombay Beach. Muscular to see! Thanks Ryan!

This was an interesting place to camp. It is not particularly private, but quite convenient and really nice fire pit. If you are a person looking for escape to nature, this may not be the ideal location. But if you are looking to recreate in the area, this is a great find. Ryan was extremely helpful and communicative. I am the kind that is generally looking for an escape, but even I would camp here again. I was solo, but this would also be good for a noisy group. Thank you, Ryan!

Private desert pocket of magic.

Property was beautiful with no one in sight. Great fire pit. Full moon bursting over the desert. Sunrise, sunset, magic hour, the whole package. Make sure to park on back access road or you will get to have a fun adventure like us! Thank you Ryan for your warm hospitality!
