This 60 acre property is located approximately 3 miles east of San Gregorio Beach in the San Gregorio area. There is no home here, only a travel trailer on the Upper Meadow. It is very peaceful, quiet and beautiful throughout the seasons.
We are 5 minutes away from the San Gregorio General Store and cafe and 20 minutes from Alice's Restaurant. We have great cell coverage for Verizon, AT&T and Visible. Experience shows that T-Mobile does not work here and I don't know about the other internet providers.
There are four campsites, each with easy 4WD access. Two of the sites offer total isolation with amazing views while the third site, while in a nice setting, is more useful for a quick overnight stay with no views of the ocean or canyon. The land was originally purchased in the 1980's. Since then, it has been used by four generations of the family as a place to gather, relax, camp and even celebrate. I had my wedding on the property in 2010. For a few years we held an annual music festival with the very inventive name of Samapalooza. Up to 400 people would attend the day filled with live music, food and drinks. You will still find the stage and bar we built as an outdoor kitchen and dining area.
Around 2008, my father and I planted our first olive trees. Many have been planted since which has gifted the land the timeless sense of purpose it deserves. My father dedicated his last years to tending the young trees and now I have taken the mantle to carry the farm forward.
'The Property', as it is known amongst family and friends has always been a place to camp. I have sat around the same fire ring for decades, rain or shine. I hope that fellow hipcampers can find the joy that my family and I have experienced here.
This is a very private camp on a small olive farm. Geographically close to highways and the town of Novato, Sonoma and Napa wine country, this camp feels remote and secluded. Only one camp on the property to keep it private and special. You basically have your run of the land. We have just updated the land and made some nice improvements. Located on ten acres, you will drive past a small olive grove before reaching the spacious and open campground.
Just up the hill from the camp is a private pond where you can fish, take out a small boat or just sit and watch the birds. It can be great swimming on hot summer days.
This spot has been used by the family for decades and is now open to share with fellow nature lovers.
Just a note: While the majority of the time you can expect complete privacy, this is a working olive farm. From time to time you may run into me (Sam) or someone else associated with the land. We will always do our best to respect your space.

We are deep in the Santa Cruz mountains and it’s rustic so be prepared! The road is all paved but it can be narrow, bumpy and steep in some areas. Be sure to follow our directions! The campground is hilly to walk around.
The cell phone reception is decent for all major carriers up at the entrance gate area but down in the campground really depends on the carrier, Verizon and AT&T are weak or even no signal down at the campground, T-Mobile and Comcast Mobile are better down there. If your phone doesn't work in the campground and you need to reach the host, go up to the entrance gate area, or ask other campers whose phone work down there to help.
We do not have a trash service for the campground, we require all campers to PACK OUT THEIR TRASH!
No wood burning fire is allowed all year around. Propane firepit is ok.
Our campground has running water from a natural spring, Men and Women's Restrooms each with 2 toilets and 1 FREE hot water shower, utility shed with sink and hot water, and an outdoor amphitheater. The kitchen and washer/dryer is Staff Only not for campers. .
We have 40 acres of redwood forest and two creeks running through including the Amaya Creek which serves the boundary of our property at the end of Amayak Creek Trail. There’s also a small waterfall off the Amaya Creek Trail, but it may dry out during the summer. Enjoy hiking, creeks and small waterfall exploration, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, star gazing, relaxation, meditation and more.
Most campsites allow 4-6 guests maximum with 1 car included in the nightly rate. Each additional vehicle is $15 per day and will be added at checkout once you add the correct number of vehicles you will be bringing.
Pets are $10 per day, 1 pet per group ONLY. Please add this as an extra at the time of booking, you will see the option to add extras once you begin the checkout process. Dogs must be on leash at all times!
Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. No drugs of any kind including marijuana allowed. No loud music allowed. This is a private property so no visitors are allowed, only paid guests. Our onsite staff will go around and enforce the rules.

Cute spot, my van fit nicely, directions to the site were clear and I had no trouble finding it. I had no interaction with the owner which is perfect for an introvert like me in an overnight spot.
I think the spot is perfect if you are looking for a base for exploring wine country. Water and electric were provided as well as a trash can. I have a 30A RV but I didn’t try to run my AC or anything power hungry so I don’t know whether the circuit is truly 30A as advertised but the extension cord you plug into seemed thin and did have some signs it had been overheated before so I didn’t want to test it. My surge protector/circuit tester said it was good so I used it for lights and fridge. I didn’t bring my hose because I thought their hose would reach my fresh water fill but it was just long enough to get over the fence separating you from the house. I managed to use a workaround to get water into my fresh water fill but do bring a hose, the one provided is just a place to connect yours with the adapter/splitter they have on the end of it.
There are several outdoor seating areas I didn’t use on this hot evening but they are nice enough and shaded. We didn’t hear any animals as some others had complained about, including the rooster which was surprisingly quiet or maybe we are just numb to the sound since we have several of our own. Sunset over the neighbor’s vineyard was spectacular as well. Price was fair and I would stay again.

Great communication and clear directions. We enjoyed the farm. The location is central to many Sonoma offerings. Waking up to the hot air balloons floating near by was an added bonus. We would stay there again.

Shannon is a gracious and welcoming host. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay on her property. It's the kind of place that makes you wonder about the history of the property. Multiple old structures amidst the redwood trees and wildlife. Yes there is some occasional road noise but the property feels safe and secluded. No issues for a quiet and restful sleep. Lots of room to walk around or relax under the trees. The electric hookups are nice to have as well. If you are looking for a place not far from DT Saratoga and hiking trails that feels like a campsite to yourself then I would highly recommend.

The stay on the farm was comfortable and easy to maneuver in. We enjoyed hearing the sounds of chirping birds and farm animals nearby. A surprise hot air balloon floated above our encampment one morning which brought us out for a picture session. Will come back next time.

We were only onsite at Eileen's property a short time, but we very much enjoyed it! It is a small working farm, most notably with goats! They were not disruptive by any means, but my wife and I really enjoyed hearing the goats while sitting outside our van late at night and again in the morning! So cute! More importantly, though, Eileen was great with her instructions and responsiveness. Everything was exactly as she said it would be, making our arrival after dark so much easier. She even included info on a public dump station nearby since her property does not include sewer hookup. While it was a very quick stay for us, I would definitely consider staying with Eileen again!

I had a really nice overnight at the farm. I arrived in the dark and was worried about finding it but had no issue and it’s not off a busy road. When I woke up the next morning I was met with the sounds of baby goats and birds chirping. I look forward to returning.

Big open space in the Livermore Hills. Great for just hanging out and relaxing. There’s a nice patio area by the tasting room that they offered for us to use with fire pits. Be aware of no fire bans, since the hills can be quite dry.
Bathrooms are clean and easy to walk to. Tasting room was closed but Kelly was nice enough to allow us to buy some of her favorite wines. We ended up finishing both bottles!
Ground is a bit rocky so be prepared with cots or air mattresses if you are tent camping.
