Nature, taking care of itself, is truly a beautiful thing. Yellow Water Iris are in full bloom, spring through early summer. Dragonflies and butterflies sparkle in the sunshine. Frogs croak, bats dart here and there and big mouth bass become airborne in search of dinner in the early evening hours. Blue and White Heron visit the pond often – gracefully soaring over the pastures and pond in search of a safe place to land among the Iris. There’s a table for eating or work, chairs and shelving for any of your clothes, accessories etc. -Windows all around the yurt give tons of sunlight along with an opening skylight up top complete with a ceiling fan. -The yurt is heated by an indoor wood burning stove with wood and kindling provided. -Summer days can get very hot so be prepared by bringing an extra mister or take a dip in the Yuba only 15 min away. -Enjoy sitting outside on the patio furniture. Teddy, Stella and Hazel are the ranch livestock guard dogs and Willow is the funny little basset hound running around the ranch with her daughter Winter! We have an organic garden and fresh veggies available in summer and we love to share the bounty! One and pick your veggies for dinner! There is a shared pool behind the main house for those hot days, as well as the American River close by. We will be happy to give guests their privacy if you want to use the pool.
