Our farm is dog friendly tho we wish pets to be kept close, must be neutered and friendly to other dogs and people. Please be sure to bury or bag the waste. Speaking of waste, Meadow Farm strives to reduce waste by avoiding plastic as much as possible, recycling what we can and composting our veggie scraps. Please bring your own waste receptacles and take them along when you go. We take ours to the Caspar Transfer Station which is open Saturday through Wednesday... the location and hours can be found online. Our water is from a deep well and we periodically test it for bacteria. It is cold and delicious. Our irrigation pipes that have spigots and hoses at each camp are safe for drinking, cooking and cleaning Our solar pump moves water into storage tanks that provide all the water to the farm. It is very important that the water valves on your camp spigot is turned off (gently please) to avoid losing 2500 gallons of water in a short time. If you see a leak or break in a line please contact us immediately. There are also water shut offs for the camps on the west side of the Farm House if you are unable to reach us right away.. When doing dishes we request that you use the strainer to catch food particles from the dish water and toss them in your trash or compost bucket. If you have vegetable waste let us know and we can pick them up for adding to the worm bins or composting piles. We make worm "tea" fertilizer and rich soil from these offerings. No animal products or oil please... a few egg shells are okay. We do have the usual wildlife though we haven't had problems with them. Ravens will raid your camp if food or bags are left out while you are away. From dusk to dawn keep children and pets close. We coexist well here with the critters...and glad to have them. When we retired 13 years ago, we discovered this lovely piece of Paradise in Miranda, located on the famous Avenue of the Giants in Humboldt County. Six years ago, we remodeled the basement and created what we call the “Garden Apt”. We have nine apple trees, a cherry tree, a fig tree, and a Concord grape arbor. It’s a 1/4-mile walk into the town of Miranda, where you will find the Miranda Market and gas & electric stations (well-stocked), as well as The Avenue Cafe (loved the Big Foot fries). Next door to the Post Office is The Palace restaurant, famous for the best ribeye steaks in Northern California! The Chimney Tree cafe is 6 miles south of Miranda on The Avenue of the Giants, along the river. There is a lovely trail that leads to what we locals refer to as “The Grove”, which is a beautiful walk in the redwoods just across the road on the Avenue. You can drive to a parking spot to start a walk on this path as well. When viewing the pictures, I’m sure you saw a picture of our dogs, aka our “kids”. Mojo is the grey one, and Karma is the blonde one. We also have a black cat called Magic who would love to have coffee with you in the mornings. We had an amazing time at the Coastal Cabin. Bon is a very responsive host, loved the location. Very secluded and peaceful. Cozy wood stove to stay warm. Kitchen has a gas stove, large mini fridge and full sink set up. It’s a drive to get to coastal access, but worth it. We really enjoyed just doing nothing at the cabin. Will definitely be back!

2 nights at Ariana Acres

Campsite was great! Yurt was very secluded and in a beautiful location. Bedding was fresh and clean and very comfy with the cold weather and rain. Kitchen was convenient and had a great fire pit. Kristina was very helpful, even providing us pots and pans that we had forgotten. Highly recommend if you are looking for an adventurous getaway.

Cabin 5 is the largest of our cabins with a queen and bunked twins. It’s also taller than the others.

This cabin was a welcome retreat from my wife and I's busy lives as music teachers. We had ample space and privacy to unplug and relax. The closeness to nature may make you think there's little to no creature comforts, but that'd be a false assumption. Hot showers, heating, wifi, and all the necessities for cooking and coffee We could not be more happy with our stay, and eagerly await our next opportunity to return!

I loved it. The land and cabin felt cared for and welcoming. Our stay was in November so pretty cold but very cozy and worth it. We appreciated that the kitchen as well stocked with everything we needed. The outdoor tub was just the best thing ever and the bed inside was like a cloud. Would definitely stay again!

The Cozy Cabin is tiny and adorable - one of those rare properties that is actually exactly as described in its listing. We brought our dog and had a lovely stay. The bed is very comfortable, the cabin is well insulated, well spaced from other dwellings and campsites, the land around it is beautiful, and there are lots of stars to see on a clear night. Only noteworthy flaw was upon arrival: it was pretty tough to find our way in the dark. Arrive in the daylight if possible until they add clearer night-reflective signage and/or a detailed campsite map!

There's a fire pit right outside the yurt :)

gorgeous spot and gorgeous tub. thank you andrea! it’s was extremely private and the tub leveled up our experience, now it will feel hard to go camping without one! :P if you’re going in the fall or winter, do NOT skip out on the heater add on. i figured since it was an insulated yurt we would be fine, but we were extremely cold when going to bed! luckily, the water was nice and hot all night in the tub, which was incredible. hope to come back here one day.

Beautiful place. The room was nice. The bed was comfy. The bathrooms were well maintained. The place had an awesome view of the night sky. Defiantly will be planning a future stay there. Mendocino is like 10 minutes away and fort brag is about 20. There’s not even a real need to bring food so long as u wanna go buy food everyday.

The golden bowl was perfect for my partner and I. Due to daylight savings time, we never met the host, but they were super accommodating and lovely to message with. Kind size bed was comfy. Blankets were super warm, so no heater was needed (there is not electricity). This spot is closer to camping with luxuring than glamping with all the extras. We didn't use the outdoor kitchen area but imagine it is super useful. My rav4 had no problem getting down the hill to our tent. This tent seems much more secluded than the other two on this property, so that's good to know for other potential people staying! We so sorry appreciate an affordable place to sleep, as everyone does not have $$$ that is trying to travel. Location was great to get to willits, the coast, and we stopped at orr hot springs on our way there - all within a reasonable distance for folks like us who are used to driving to get anywhere! I didn't bring my dog but always appreciate pet friendly spots :) I would come back!

I had a lovely, cozy stay at Bon's cabin. The location is perfect - 10 mins from Elk, 20 mins to Mendocino village, 25 mins to Philo - and the drive is stunning. The cabin itself is incredibly private and cozy with all the amenities, from a full kitchen, to an equipped bathroom, to comfy beds. Then there's the outdoor tub (!!!), wood-fired sauna, and pizza oven. Though Bon has provided space heaters, one of my favorite parts of my stay was keeping the cabin nice and warm with the wood stove. Truly a perfect fall getaway, I can't wait to come back!

The Tower Cabin at OZ Farm was exactly what I was looking for- Spending time in nature and a couple comfort steps above tent camping. The tower cabin is rustic and minimal, but everything you need and more compared to tent camping. I had perfect weather- it didn't get cold enough to use the wood burning stove, but I liked that I had it as an option. The communal kitchen was lovely and a light filled, welcoming cozy spot to hangout. The farm is beautiful and charming. I look forward to coming back.
