Welcome to Camp SourBerry! Here, you can pitch your tent with a view. You can enjoy the feeling of rural seclusion while within walking distance (~1 mile) from shops and restaurants in Oakhurst. The South Gate to Yosemite National Park is less than a 30-minute drive (~75 minutes drive-time to the Valley floor), and Bass Lake's shores are only 15 minutes away.
Local wildlife is abundant. Wild turkeys are a common sighting, especially in the spring and fall, as are squirrels, bears, deer, coyotes, and bobcats, plus all kinds of native birds (hawks, quail, jays, woodpeckers, ravens, vultures, and eagles). We have a small homestead-style farm and so do the neighbors, so you can hear the distant sounds of chickens, turkeys, sheep, goats, and cows. Because the safety of our animals (and yours) is paramount, we do not allow pets off-leash.

Camp on our small piece of paradise located near Yosemite. We are a family of 5 (me, my husband, our two toddlers and our dog, River) living on 5 acres of mountain land in the foothills of the Sierras complete with an outdoor shower and bath and also flowing (seasonal) stream that you can swim in. Feel free to wander around the property on a few of our trails or just chill by the water and enjoy the magic of the mountains.
Our property is about a 55 min drive to the Yosemite entrance. PLUS another 15 mins to the main attractions.
Dogs are more than welcome as long as they are ok with our dog wandering around. He’s super sweet loves everybody.

Your campsite will be nestled among animal enclosures, listen to the munching of hay or the snorting of the horse. Your stay will include a modified animal tour and you can engage with horse, goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks and more... dogs and cats of course ;). I have a couple of spots but I would be flexible regarding campsite. My toilet is a compost toilet. The outside shower has been upgraded with privacy curtains etc following suggetions from previous campers ;)
I have a million $$ view and a modest house. My house is about 45 minutes from the Yosemite park entrance and it's an easy commute back/forth. Flowering vines cover my outdoor porches where we have big dinners when Wwoofers or Couchsurfers are in residence. The property is home to many animals, horse, goats, pigs, chickens, peacocks, rabbits, guinea pigs - dogs & cats - of course! :-) . The roosters wake us up pretty early so fair warning about that - but I love living with them and it makes the property so much more friendly with all the critters. My house is pet friendly and yours are welcome if they are 1. Fixed, 2. Are social and friendly with my pets, 3. Will not chase the cats and chickens. I can babysit your pups if you go to the park - provided they are compliant with rules above. I work from home. There are loads of trails nearby and 2 pretty ponds and plenty of wildlife, deer, turkeys and more. The property is rolling hills however there are plenty of flat areas for tents. NO FIRES PERMITTED ANYWHERE ON MY PROPERTY APRIL-OCTOBER - non negotiable.

*You must drive ~4 miles of dirt and gravel road to reach Kowana Valley Lodge. The road is not steep but is narrow at spots and dusty when dry. Access with a 2WD vehicle is not a problem.

Weekend Trip to Nolla A-Frames Near Yosemite
Very beautiful nordic-aesthetic cabin and overall comfortable stay. A few things to note:
I recommend arriving before dark --really appreciated Tom coordinating a 4WD ride up to cabin two, but spot was a little tricky to find with limited service. Host was very communicative to help us!
I recommend checking out before 11am, communication after checkout was detail-focused, including documentation of small things during turnover.
In the winter, I recommend bringing at least a few more blankets / warm clothing for warmth all night!
Lastly, make sure to bring your twinkle lights! **key for cozy aesthetic!**

Weekend Trip to WILDER BUNGALOW n/Yosemite!
We absolutely loved our time at the Wilder Bungalow! There were more fun features added since the pictures on the listing, so we were happily surprised. The outdoor tub was better than a hot tub in our opinion, and Lisa supplied us with washcloths when we needed them. We cooked quite a bit of our own food, so we could have used more cooking utensils but we made out okay. Average cleanliness when we got there. But we would definitely come back if we had a chance!

Really loved the convenience of camp. Showers close by via a quick drive. Propane fire is a must if camping in late January / colder weather. Getting to Yosemite was also very easy. Liza and Tom were very responsive to questions throughout the trip and our stay was great! Highly recommend!

Sleeping in my tent on a deck built into a granite boulder overlooking a babbling creek - the ultimate sound machine for zzz’s - was every bit the experience I imagined it would be! And the outside tub was clutch at the end of a long day exploring Yosemite in its winter majesty. The hottest water (and plenty more when you need to heat it back up.. you won’t want to get out, ha!) felt amazing under the stars! So special. Definitely coming back.. Besutful property, otherwise, as well. Tucked back in an obviously upper class neighborhood, so I felt very safe, and truthfully lucky to have what I did so close to the park!

Weekend Trip to WILDER BUNGALOW n/Yosemite!
We loved camping at Lisa’s tiny home!! Everything was seamless — keyless entry, quick & easy communication with the host, amenities provided and clean, all set up for us. It felt so close to nature while still being an upgraded experience. They gave us firewood and fire starters for the chimenea, the tub was so easy to use, and the kitchen was well stocked for a tiny home. They even had a whole DVD binder. 10/10 would recommend this experience!! We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Nolla A-Frames Near Yosemite
I was looking for a last minute escape to the mountains to clear my head but didn’t want to deal with a) my own tent or gear, b) a big campground with tons of other people, c) pretentious “glamping” tents, or d) a soulless “cabin” for family reunions. Bonus points for cool design. Liza and Tom’s site was perfect!
Tucked up in the woods so it feels remote but easily accessible from the road and just a few minutes drive to cell service and food options. I was in cabin 2 next to a friendly couple in cabin 3, but when I was inside it felt like I was all alone.
The A-frame itself is a cool minimalist Scandinavian design, with comfy beds and an incredible floor to ceiling window to watch the sunset and pick out constellations after dark.
Outhouse/toilet was comfy, clean and didn’t smell at all. Showers were modern and clean with fresh towels (they’re across the main road so best to drive). I can’t wait to come back for a longer stay!

Weekend Trip to Willow Belle Ranch
What a lovely, quiet, serene piece of the world! You feel the nature around you. I recommend taking a walk down to the creek. Britany was very kind and welcoming, the camper is simple and clean (just what I was going for). Plenty of firewood and friendly animals to greet you. And the stars (lucky it was clear) were absolutely incredible. Highly recommended!

Weekend Trip to Nolla A-Frames Near Yosemite
We decided last minute on a stay near Yosemite and this place was conveniently near the highway leading to the West entrance but still private and secluded. The views at night with the stars were beautiful!!! We did stay after a snowstorm so it was cold but bundled up with our own extra blankets and sleeping bags and were cozy! Really cozy and very nice to have extra blankets and the charger.

The A-frame cabin was a beautiful, scenic stay within convenient distance from Yosemite. I found it easy to check in, and the hosts provide useful guidance for finding the cabin.
Cell service is spotty, so be sure to plan ahead. I found it easy to find, but be aware that you'll want to plan ahead.
The view out the cabin window was stunning, and I found all accommodations - bed, desk, lamp, battery, and shower - very comfortable. I will always remember the stars and moonlight.

As a solo traveler (with canine companion) I appreciate good communication with hosts and feeling safe within my camping surroundings. Tom and Liza are thoughtful hosts and Cabin One is charming.
It is easily accessible via dirt road with a near-by porta-potty. If you want to feel more remote during your camping experience inquire about cabins two & three (as well as accessibility.) A Yeti full of a generous amount of clean, potable water is provided.
I camp with extra warm Rumple-style blankets and hand-heater packets because I get cold easily. I was cozy overnight during my early November stay and enjoyed breakfast in the morning sun at the adjacent picnic table.
The photos in the multiple reviews all accurately depict the set-up at the Cabin One sight.

1 night at Nolla A-Frames Near Yosemite
Liza and Tom’s Cabin was a great place to stay at to provide us with the calm views of the California hills we were looking for. They set up the cabin for us before we arrived so all we truly needed to do was unwind and enjoy the sunset, stars, and sunrise! While we stayed for a quick trip, we would’ve loved to visit for longer to continue to enjoy what the cabin had to offer.

We really enjoyed our stay at the A-frame! The site was quiet, peaceful, and nicely secluded, just as described. The directions provided were clear and easy to follow, and the hot showers across the street were a great bonus. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, off-the-grid stay.

We had such a peaceful and cozy stay at Liza and Tom’s land! 🌿 The area is beautifully maintained and surrounded by nature. Liza and Tom were incredibly kind and welcoming, giving clear directions and making sure we had everything we needed. The spot was perfect for relaxing after exploring the nearby park - quiet nights under the stars and mornings filled with birdsong. Loved our stay so much

Really lovely spot with lots of privacy and amazing views. There is a load creaking sound in the cabin every so often but with ear plugs it’s totally fine to sleep. The location is nice and near cute places, not far from yosemitie gate but to the valley it’s about an hour

The owners are really nice and made sure I arrived safely, showed me around. There’s tons of space, fantastic views, and you feel secluded but still have some niceties around (bathroom, hammock, deck). I drove a Jeep compass on the driveway with no issue. Slept in the car on a nice flat area. Would be good for a tent set up too!
