2 nights at Willow Belle Ranch

We picked this place before entering the silent meditation retreat. It was perfect. We want to stay in a safe, clean, beautiful, comfortable, in solitude and this place offered everything we were looking for. Hosts are so kind and responsive. Animals on the land are so friendly. The camper was well designed, We felt safe, slept well after a day trip from visiting Yosemite. Britany has thought of everything that could make guests comfortable. We got to meet with both Peter and Britany. I highly recommend this place.

3 nights at Musick Creek Falls

I organized a group trip for a milestone birthday and this spot could not have been better! We rented all 4 spots on Shandie & Jesse's property. Lower Falls is an amazing camp site, especially if you want to gather a larger group. We had 3 families set up at this site for the weekend, and there was plenty of space. The views are outstanding -- amazing place to watch the sunset. And the entire property is out-of-this-world amazing and Shandie and Jessie could not have been kinder and more helpful hosts.

Beautiful campsite! Felt very private. Last ~30 feet of road down to the site was super rocky so 4WD was definitely needed.

The spot designated for camping is just a weedy little area with a table and fire pit. No shade , come prepared. BUT, the river makes up for it, it really does look like paradise, I Pleasant put my lawn chair there and let the dog roam. I’ll post a video. The outdoor shower and tub are very cool, but, there are two airb&b sharing it so you might want to wear a bathing suit or be surprised by visitors if you’re naked.

4 nights at Hidden Falls Yosemite Camp

Had such a great time camping here over the long weekend! The spot is beautiful and right by the river. The site has a fire pit, table, water and a bathroom - all were clean and well maintained. The site felt private even though there’s one neighbor nearby. The hosts were really communicative and the directions were easy to follow, which made everything super smooth. Plus, it’s dog-friendly, and our dog loved it. Definitely would come back!

Great location, easy to find with directions! We had site 1 which was large and level for our big tent. Not much shade but the shade cloth there is nice. We brought an additional screen tent to put over the picnic table which helped with shade and protection from the mosquitos at dusk. The comments about the hike to the porta potties are accurate. The length isn't so bad, it's just really steep! Perfect place to stay to spend time in Yosemite and areas outside the park too.

3 nights at Bridgeport Reservoir Campground

I loved camping at chases land and found there were many things to do near the area. Check-in/out was a breeze and the lady ant the front desk was helpful and suggested the hot springs nearby which could easily be the best part of the trip. Only con was a lot of bugs/mosquitos (not due to owners but nature doing its thing) around flying anywhere and everywhere. Luckily it gets fairly windy and they blow away, surprisingly did not get bit. We pitched our tent close to the tree/bush and the sprinkler system would go off at odd hours for short periods of time making it a bit hard to sleep(I’m a light sleeper though, my partner slept through it all). We didn’t get a chance to meet Chase but the site was wonderful and we got out of the city to enjoy some peace and nature.

1 night at Willow Belle Ranch

The hospitality was amazing. Britany and her husband made us feel right at home. The camper was clean, comfy, well stocked, and adorable. The fire pit was perfect. Overall location: Heaven. Off the beaten path enough to see a sky full of stars, hear nothing but nature, and truly relax. Also shower worked well, hot water!

Great place to camp. The set up was awesome. Awesome hot shower set up. We stayed one night so we didn’t get to enjoy the hammock. It’s right off a highway right across from a gas station. So having access to things we need was awesome. It’s not too close to the highway that we are exposed but not too far into the woods. It’s 10 minutes from the Yosemite entrence.

I stayed at this Hipcamp for 3 nights in my 15' teardrop camp trailer mid-May 2025. Really enjoyed it. The campsite was large and quiet except for the creek/waterfall sounds which were very nice.

Off-road enthusiasts would not have enough time in one visit to explore all of the 4x4 trails, abandoned mines, and sites in the area as well as the famous trail that brings you right to the Bodie Ghost Town. Climate and Ecosystem: At 6,400 feet (1,950 meters), this high desert climate has little to moderate tree coverage and gets hot during the days and cool at night. The conditions are much like Joshua Tree National Park or Alabama Hills camping area. During your visit, you will notice many flying insects that resemble mosquitos. These Chironomid are harmless and do not bite. On the contrary, the mosquito presence is very minimal. Swimming in the lake is possible usually between April to July.

We do have modern conveniences such as wifi internet; however, we encourage our guests to “unplug” and immerse in the slow paced life instead. At Paradise Shores, we believe in protecting people, animals and the planet. We make sure that the majority of products we use at our camp is recycled, composted, or re-used. We prefer to use products that are produced in a sustainable way and avoid those that aren't. We are continuously reducing the amount of waste we generate and actively promote recycling of aluminum, plastic, glass, and cardboard. We pack our own recycling and haul it to the nearest recycling facility which is an hour away. We co-opt the drive with other activities to reduce waste. We don’t use individually packaged toiletries or one-use products. We use plant and planet friendly detergent. We're based in a desert. We share our precious water with the entire planet. With only 326 million cubic miles of water on the earth, the decreasing amounts of access to quality fresh water is alarming to us. We monitor how we use water in our day-to-day activities and are constantly working on ways to reduce our consumption of fresh-water resources. We hope you can help us maintain this greener camping! We hope Paradise Shores Camp becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. We’re surrounded on three sides by the high Sierra Nevada Mountains. The excellent hiking/running trails including the Pacific Crest Trail, thousands of miles of ATV, dirt bike and mountain bike trails are accessible right from our camp or within a short drive from here. The surrounding terrain offers endless activities and unbelievable scenery in remote wilderness settings. Pet Policy All our RV & Tent sites are pet friendly and we allow up to two dogs per reservation for a small fee. We can also accommodate up to two four-legged campers in our pet-friendly Baja or Tatra trailers for a small fee, we ask that they stay off the furniture (beds, sofas etc.) and are not left in the rental unattended. We love dogs, but sadly won’t be able to accommodate heavily shedding pets that aren’t house trained. Additionally, our insurance will not allow "aggressive breeds" that include any mix of: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman, German Sheppard. Old Yosemite Base camp was along the route into Yosemite National Park prior to the construction of Highway 41. Backing up to the Sierra National Forest OYBC is conveniently located near HWY 41 just 14 miles from Yosemite’s south gate entrance. You can enjoy the feeling of rural seclusion while within walking distance (~1 mile) from shops and restaurants in Oakhurst. The South Gate to Yosemite National Park is less than a 30-minute drive (~75 minutes drive-time to the Valley floor), and Bass Lake's shores are only 15 minutes away. Local wildlife is abundant. Wild turkeys are a common sighting, especially in the spring and fall, as are squirrels, bears, deer, coyotes, and bobcats, plus all kinds of native birds (hawks, quail, jays, woodpeckers, ravens, vultures, and eagles). Feel free to wander around the property on a few of our trails or just chill by the water and enjoy the magic of the mountains. Our property is about a 45 min drive to the Yosemite entrance.
