This is a 253 Acre property near the Sacramento River that flows through the area of Lakehead near Redding and Shasta lake. There are a couple of really good fishing spots along the river . On the property itself there is 3 year round flowing creeks. Lots of Deer on the property since we don’t hunt and so they come on our land as a little sanctuary. Beautiful view of the Shasta area mountains. Multiple places to hike and find water holes. There is Poison Oak on the property, please be mindful. There are bears, but will normally stay away from the campsite. Please put your food away to prevent wildlife from coming into your camp. There are fish in the Sacramento River that can be fished for. This is the wilderness, there are mosquitos, flys, and other bugs. Please bring bug spray.

Weekend Trip to Camp Larabee - Secluded Redwoods

Amazing campsite! We are privileged that Gina opened up this unique site and made it available for others to experience. (If it was my property, I'd keep it to myself ; ) We stayed with 17' travel trailer and enjoyed being up-close and personal with the majestic redwoods. Sites are very spacious with or without other guests. Water and common areas are well planned and laid out. Gina's property is the perfect getaway to recharge and offers the ideal blend of historic Redwoods, open pastures, and very cool nearby bridges for exploring. Kids were happy, parents were happy, we'll definitely be back.

We stayed at Michael’s property right on the Trinity River, and it was a great experience. The directions were easy to follow, making it simple to find. The campground was clean, and the host was friendly and helpful. The best part was having the entire site to ourselves, which was a huge plus. River access was convenient, and we spent plenty of time by the water. There’s also plenty of shade around the property to set up your tent. The only thing to mention is that the campsite is fairly close to the boat launch, so you might hear some activity during the day. Other than that, it’s an excellent spot to camp.

RIGHT ON THE RIVER! Fish jumping right in front of you. I caught a little rainbow every morning I was there off a tiny fly. Too small to keep but the experience was amazing. There are big fish in the river too but were too wise to what I was fishing with. Its right by the boat launch so you can take your floatables and cruze down the river as long as you have a ride back to camp. We had an awesome time, a gem on the trinity river!

It’s remote but connected to WiFi. It has hotttt showers and a safe cozy place to sleep surrounded by towering huge old growth trunks with fairy rings. It’s very chill with everything you need including laundry and power✨ so close to avenue of the giants and a few amazing hikes to the tall tree, giant tree, and ancient old growth forests. We would have loved to stay much longer. It's a lovely small park with enormous shade trees, a nice meadow and a little creek. Closer to the freeway but quiet. The best part is everything in the area! From the Lassen volcanic area to Shasta lake, throw in about a hundred waterfalls and we could spend weeks having a great time.

This site works well if you want to have somewhere to setup your RV and sleep, have breakfast be out most of the day to come back to cook and overnight. The RV spot is next to a working winery and has power and water, and next to a shared kitchen and toilet. Generally the kitchen and winery is quiet by about 10 pm for a good night's sleep. The scenery of the winery is nice and next to redwood forest. Friendly dogs and winery workers. We felt very welcome and everything went smoothly. Also the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon was great! Unoaked and lots of berry complexity.

Our group loved the campsite and it was near the river had cell service and was private and everything we hoped for in terms of a camping experience. Would recommend to anyone and everyone.
