Septik tank is sensitive *Please do no flush wipes, paper or feminine products down the toilet as the septik tank is sensitive. *This is a rural property and as such, there is wildlife which includes: rabbits, squirrels, rats, mice, coyotes, snakes, lizards, birds, bugs, and spiders, to name a few. *Please keep the doors closed to prevent the above wildlife from joining you in the home during your stay. *There are five secuirty cameras on the property for safety reasons. One at the main gate, one at the main home, one at the corner of the garage, one at the carport and one by the river. NONE in the house. *The canvas bell tent can also be booked for camping by the river, which could sleep 3-6 people, inquire within. *Pets are allowed on the property (fee's apply), however must be monitored at all times and not left alone. Pets must be kept close to owners at all times to avoid issues with wildlife, no pets on the furniture and beds. A fine will be applied if pets have been lounging on bedding and furniture.

This place was just what we were looking for. A quiet getaway in a beautiful setting. There is a farm and our toddler loved seeing the goats, chickens and donkey. We were shown great hospitality from the host and made us feel at home. Great hikes right outside the door! We were even able to purchase some meat and eggs from the farm! A unique experience all around, would highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Cuyama Oaks Ranch

We had a small group come up to Nathan's ranch for my sister's birthday, and we rented out two of the glamping sites. We had so much fun, and it was awesome being away from the city with such amazing views. Seriously, the mountains were insane, and I don't think I've ever seen the Milky Way so clearly. Nathan was lovely, as are the animals—everyone should do the petting zoo. Definitely bring your earplugs if you're in Pink Pony #1 (the rooster is an early riser!) We'll be back for sure :)

What a wonderful place to stay!! The glamping tent and bed were super comfortable with all we needed. Loved looking out our “door” at the fountain in the pond and hearing the flow of water. Beautiful starlit skies away from city. Fun to feed the sheep, goats, and pigs. Also, we adored the company of our gentle dog host!! 💕 Great place!!

Everything about our stay was absolutely lovely. The home itself is warm and inviting with everything I needed to cook there and enjoy a nice weekend away. It’s also surrounded by a private fence so it made us feel even more disconnected from the world, making our trip that much more relaxing. Definitely a place worth staying over and over again. The bed was super comfortable and there was almost no outside noise to disturb us but the best part had to be the stargazing. The view of the night time sky was breathtaking. This has been my favorite place to stay.

The pond was a highlight of the trip—whether it was kayaking, fishing, or just relaxing by the water, it offered endless fun and serenity. The farm animals were absolutely delightful; we loved interacting with the friendly goats, chickens, and other animals, making it a truly authentic farm experience. A special shoutout to the staff, who were incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. What a gem! Beautiful setting, easy access, super clean and comfy bed set up in the glamping tent. Bathroom was sparkling too! Only minor annoyance was the amount of tiny flies milling around, but that’s totally to be expected when you’re camping alongside a picturesque pond. We may just stop there again on our way back home!

Great escape from the city and a super reasonable drive from LA. Super versatile stay — quiet and peaceful with lots of open land and grass, mountains in the backdrop, kayaking and paddle boating on the pond, and even some farm animals. It’s also fairly close to stores and the city. Definitely recommend if you’re looking to escape the city for a bit without much planning or sacrificing too much convenience.

Wonderful experience. Meggan was the perfect host, the camp site was clean, organized and very unique. Lots of options on where to sleep, refreshments, bedding, air con... Lots of games for kids to play too, places to sit and catch up with friends and loved ones. A large lot. Very luxurious and picturesque. Location is great with easy access too.

We had a great trip to the Dromedary House. Spent three peaceful days enjoying the exotic animals and scenic views. I loved the fire pit and BBQ area. It was perfect. The hosts were very responsive but not intrusive. We would definitely go again.

This a "hotel" with a pulse. My wife and I (and our Rottweiler, Rami) loved seeing the horses, camels, donkeys peacocks, alpacas etc. It was super low key and the views are wonderful with views from every angle....although next to I-5 you don't hear road noise you are basically on the top of a mountain.. It was a great twist from city life....the room we had was awesome and perfect for a couple although it has bunk beds and can sleep 3 although I think this house can sleep more. If my travels take me through so cal I will definitely stay again, but likely stay longer to do a hike, bike and get more immersed with geographical feel. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels all around the world and would place this location in the top 10 ranked on convenience, geographical presence, uniqueness and appeal.

Our family had the best time at Lone Juniper Ranch. The cabin was well-equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit and playground area. The kids loved seeing all the animals up close. The limited interaction we had with Marlin and his family was pleasant and prompt. I only wish the cabin doors had screens to keep the doors open and the bugs out. Minor inconvenience! We will absolutely stay here again!

Very cute cabin. My girls loved the triple bunk beds. The heating and cooling AC worked perfect. They had condiments, dressings and cooking oil, all the basics. The best past was of course the animals, we all had fun feeding them. The owners were very responsive, even late at night.
