The campsite was clean, well maintained and private.
The location I'm sure varies considerably depending on the time of year and weather conditions. Because maybe it was late summer or early fall the flies were very numerous during the day which made hanging around in the campsite a little difficult.
The hiking was beautiful and the nights were awesome.
A little bit of a mixed bag but I think in the spring it might be perfect.

This spot is in my top two Hipcamp camping locations. I’ve been her multiple times and many of the times there weren’t any other campers around.
The sites are separated in a smart way. The open view of land is vast and calming ( at least for me) I appreciate the fire pit and that there is access to fire maintenance items and trash can.

I loved camp 4!! The area was really spacious so it felt like it was just us against the world! The hosts were super patient and accommodating to our questions and requests, which was very much appreciated for our first camping experience. The campsite was also quite private from the other campsites so it was perfect. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful area that felt super secluded and quiet. The neighboring sites are far enough to not feel like you’re sharing space. The view is so sweet. I felt my ears ringing it was so quiet when I arrived :) would definitely go back!

Great setup with tools for the firepit, clean site and portapotty, good space from nearby campsites, nice view and excellent communication. Exposed to sun but helpful tall shrubs provide some shade during the day. Would definitely return! The drive south on 33 to Ojai is spectacular as well (although you can come via I5 and 166).

We had such a wonderful time at campsite 4. There’s a fire pit, and the owner provides a lighter and lighter fluid, as well as an outdoor loo and a trashcan (with extra bags). The view is stunning and it feels perfectly secluded. It’s in the high dessert, so just make sure you pack for cold and windy nights and mornings (which the owner let us know about ahead of time). We absolutely plan on returning to this site.

A terrific off grid camp site awaits you at Campsite 4! Bunnies, quail, lots of succulents and aloes, desert plants, beautiful mountains stretching into the distance. Star– filled skies above at night. Excellent signage. Wonderfully clean campsite, too. I did not use the on-site loo (I have my own on board) and packed out my own garbage, but there is a garbage can there for you. I did not have a fire as per current fire danger, but there is a very nice fire pit with tools. 10/10. I would definitely stay here again!

This is hands down one of my favorite sites to visit. It’s my third time at this site and it was the perfect spot to try out my new hot tent as well. . It feels pretty remote, peaceful and it’s very clean. It’s easy to find and super appreciate what the owner provides. Plan on being back regularly!

This spot is so so lovely! My dog & I had a little solo retreat at Campsite 3 and we wandered the trails around all 4 campsites (after confirming that no one else was there!) and each morning we had the perfect lazy wander without having to drive anywhere. Coupled with the view & absolute quiet, the picnic table, fire pit, garbage bin & covered outhouse My Way provides offer just the right balance between isolated camping & rustic amenities. I would absolutely do another trip down here!

Cool spot. Site 4 is quite secluded and feels really private. Easy to find, really nice view, and well equipped (fire starting items, trash bin, rustic outhouse, nice welcome bottle of wine). It is quite exposed, so it might be quite hot during the day in the summer, but the weather was great when I was there.

We loved it so much., such a beautiful place. We felt very secluded even though there are four sites. The site was clean and the fire pit was perfect. I think our favorite was the nighttime sky. We had the most amazing moonrise I have ever seen. And the sunset was beautiful as well. Our dogs had plenty of room to roam without being distracted by other campers or dogs. The site is lovely and we will definitely be back. 💕💕

Beautiful location, nice stargazing, there were some tall bushes which gave nice shade in the afternoon. Could hear the other campsites a bit but felt private and secluded.

Stunning site. The views are fantastic and the site felt very private. The goldfields were in bloom during our visit which made it so charming. We explored the land a bit and had fun spotting the rabbit that kept popping up around various spots.
It would be nice to have a slightly upgraded toilet at this camp, but the other amenities were lovely (bottle of wine, a spot to stow kitchen things). Nice set up with the picnic table and fire ring.

Driving along the path to the sites there were hares/jackrabbits. There were patches of tiny yellow wildflowers among the shrubs. Once at site 3 everywhere open on the high ground of the property above the wash was bright yellow. Sensational.
The site is set with bench, fire ring, trash bin, fire extinguisher, 2 Buck Chuck w/ opener and glass, and most importantly an out-outhouse with toilet paper and a fab view.
This is late April 2024 and my 2nd review of the site. Highly recommended.

My friends and I went for a weekend and it was perfect. Nice and secluded. I knew there were other campers but didn’t hear or interact with them at all. Pretty scenery too. amenities were perfect and exactly as described. We will definitely be coming back!

I enjoyed camping at My way camp. This is what camping should be and what camping is all about. The host made was feel right at home.....away from home. This site is beautiful, very private , and peaceful. I look forward to returning. I would recommend this site.
