David, once again, offered his welcoming hospitality providing us with another unforgettable experience at the Grant Line Camp. His property provides numerous opportunities for leisurely hikes or, for the more adventurous, the Los Padres National Forest is located very nearby. It is quiet, peaceful, and the scenery cannot be beat! We look forward to returning again in the near future to experience the Cuyama Valley and all that David's Grant Line Camp have to offer!

I almost don't want to leave this review so that I could keep this dreamy slice of heaven a secret - BUT I'll take any excuse to talk about how special this place is. I am so grateful to have been here for a second time - it is just so magical and spacious - I have never seen so many stars in my life. Eternally grateful to David for welcoming us back - we hope to return again and again.

We had the most incredible wedding camp-out here! 🌿✨
Dave was the absolute best host — kind, easygoing, and so helpful with every bit of logistics. He helped us organize things like fuel for our generators, firewood, and even connected us with an amazing caterer for our reception. Dave is just good people. For our potluck rehearsal dinner, he cooked the meats himself, and they were so delicious!
The property itself is stunning — with wide-open views that made for the most beautiful sunsets and starlit nights. The built-in fire pit, flush toilet, and outdoor shower were such a treat and made our stay feel extra comfortable while still keeping that perfect camp vibe.
It was always a joy to see Dave drive up with his two adorable pups in tow. Thanks to him and this magical spot, we were able to create the camp-out wedding of our dreams. The whole weekend was pure magic — the kind of experience we’ll be talking about forever.

Our preschool had a lovely time at David's camp. They had everything we needed, firewood, water, bathroom, grill, pit, and lots of space to run and walk around. We got lucky and saw the full corn move rise over the hills in front of our tents. It was a spectacular setting!

Awesome spot with the most beautiful views all around, great star gazing, no sounds other than nature. Dave and his son brought us a fire pit and a hose so setting up a fire and watering down the surrounding area was super easy. Dave was very communicative and we'd love to book the spot again!

Such an awesome location to have a weekend camping trip with friends! Lots of space, clean restroom, great fire pit. We had a nice time exploring the property and a ton of fun on the dance floor. Dave was so helpful. He was very communicative before we arrived and helped us figure out some logistics. He was available our whole stay and helped us out with a few things, like getting the fire going. Definitely coming back in the future!

David and Company took great care of our large group. Very attentive to any needs or issues that came up and were just a text away. Lovely piece of land, especially during the spring when we come there. This is our third year having a party/reunion there and we are never going to choose another place. To us, this is absolute paradise. Lovely for hikes and bikes around the campsite and beyond. Huge fire pit for big fires and a cool stage for entertaining and music/DJ. Super clean bathroom with a sink also. Pure well water is offered at a very low cost as well which tastes divine.

Our group had an amazing time camping at G Ranch! Dave was very helpful and communicative. The property is incredibly beautiful and secluded, with a large flat area for plenty of tents, vans, RVs, etc. The pavilion shade structure made a perfect dance floor, firepit is awesome and well maintained, and the water tank bar was a big hit! The bathroom facility is a great amenity as well. The site is easily accessible with a paved road most of the way and a short, well-maintained, gravel entrance road. We can't wait to come back!

Dave is awesome - super chill and reliable and a great communicator. So is Greg who came by a few times to check in.
Amazing views, great infrastructure, and good company.
He even got us wood a few times to keep the fire stoked.
Will be coming back in a few months. Love the freedom and flexibility both dave and this place provides

Grant Line Hipcamp is beautifully situated, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The campsite is well-maintained and level for tents and trailers. Trees and rustic structures offer shade and a great place to communally cook or eat.
The facilities at Grant Line Hipcamp are great. There were clean and stocked restrooms, convenient water sources, and miles of trails for hiking. Picnic tables and the fire pit were in great condition, making meal preparation and evening gatherings enjoyable. The site also provided ample privacy, which enhanced the overall camping experience.
It was a very hot weekend when we stayed at Grant Line, luckily we were able to take advantage of the shared pool and porch on the property.
Dave, the host, was welcoming, attentive and a great storyteller. We enjoyed hearing about the land and buildings on the property. We will definitely be returning to Grant Line next year!

This was the best camping venue we have ever been to. The host is kind, friendly, and chill, and is happy to help out wherever needed. One of our tents exploded (long story) and he even offered to loan us one of his. There's plenty to explore near the location, and the site itself is full of good vibes. It was easy to get setup and throw a very special event here, and that's in no small part due to the host. If you're looking for somewhere to kick back, chill, and play some music - you've found your spot. We will certainly be coming back in the future.

My two daughters and I had an amazing time! David was a great host and made sure we were very comfortable. For example, when we arrived I asked if he could level some ground under a tree so we could set up our tent there. So he grabbed his tractor and leveled the ground and trimmed up the tree with his chainsaw. The views are great and it’s very peaceful! We are definitely going to come back!

We had an amazing time. What an incredible piece of land. The trees, the grasses, the owls hooting at night. We watched hawks hunting in the daytime. Absolutely stunning.
Dave is an amazing host! He went absolutely above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and the site worked for us. I’m so grateful we found this little haven! We can’t wait to come back.

Our group of friends had an amazing time gathering on Dave's hipcamp spot. The place had everything we needed, gorgeous views of green rolling hills and already built bar and shade structure that provided lots of comfort and easy set up for our friends and family gathering. In addition, Dave is a great host, very communicative and timely addressing our needs, going above and beyond to make it special for us. He offered generator rental and firewood delivery for a reasonable price that kept us warm around a firepit at night. The place felt quiet, relaxed and private. We felt home right away and will definitely come back!

We stayed with Dave as a launch site to Carrizo Plain, but learned that his land and the surrounding area was as nice as anything that we saw at Carrizo, including more wildflowers! The camp site was beautiful, with incredible views! They had clearly taken great care to set it up so that everything we would need, and then some, was at the site. Soon after we arrived, we went on a hike to the top the nearby hill for an even more views! Dave was constantly available to take care of any needs we might have and to offer us guidance and direction. We especially appreciated the joy that he seemed to feel in caring for his guests so we would have a wonderful experience. We did! Thank you Dave!

We had a spectacular time at Grant Line! The location is so peaceful with lovely views of the surrounding hills. Dave and his family welcomed us with open arms and provided everything we needed and more. We hiked around the land exploring. And the campsite itself has plenty of facilities (bathroom, grill, fire pit, tiki bar, gazebo, horseshoe game, etc). We were able to purchase the firewood for the fire pit too. The campsite is nestled amid fields of wildflowers and had a family of chipmunks to watch. The area also boasts historical and cultural significance-something we’d love to learn more about next time we visit! We can’t recommend this spot enough!

We loved staying here! This was our first stop on a road-trip up to northern California with our two dogs. There was so much space for the dogs to explore. Very relaxing and quiet spot (except for the coyotes at night haha). We will definitely be back to this spot!

Grant Line Campsite was the perfect backdrop for the most epic 30th birthday ever! The minute we rolled in, Dave made us feel right at home. He kept the good vibes flowing with a daily truckload of firewood, making sure we were warm enough during those 36 degree November nights. Surrounded by nature's beauty, the campsite gave us killer 360-degree views that had us constantly snapping pics. The place was top-notch, with facilities that blended right in with the rugged scenery but kept us comfy. The bathroom was a big plus with a flushable toilet and running water for the sink and outdoor shower. Celebrating in the wild at Grant Line created memories that'll stick with us forever – shoutout to the super-friendly hosts, breathtaking views, and the daily firewood that took our stay from cool to downright amazing. If you're after a camping experience that's a cut above, Grant Line is where it's at for real natural beauty and genuine hospitality.

This is the 2nd time we camp here and we all absolutely loved it. Our group this time was larger than the first and we all had plenty space to set up. The owners house is far enough where we can plan music and not disrupt them.
The road to the land was very easy for small cars. You can purchase wood from the host if u run out as well. The star of the weekend was the newly built full running bathroom with a toilet and sink. Make sure to bring a generator as there is lighting available. The host has two very sweet dogs so make sure to drive slowly when you pull in. I absolutely recommend this site. We would love to return for a third time.

We really enjoyed David & Whitney’s place; it has all kinds of charm and cool accommodations like the Ramada, flushing toilet, water, pipe-bar, bbqs, giant shade trees, chairs and tables, oak firewood, and so on. It is great!
It’s particularly useful for larger groups, as there is ample space and lots of ways to utilize all of the stuff that comes with the camp.
The landscape is also striking, with distant mountains, hawks, and amazing star-gazing.
The only challenge is finding the actual location… so read the directions; they work. Also, David and Whitney go out of their way to help you find it. (“Call us and we’ll walk you through it.”)
All in all, we’d heartily recommend staying here! Do it, or we’ll beat you to it!

We were surprised we weren't able to use our Quads like last year, kids got really bumped out, but seems that those are the new rules with hipcamp, and we were not aware, just took it for granted. The place still is a really nice and private place for camping with the family.
