I wanted to share what an amazing host Catherine was! She was incredibly kind and welcoming. She even stopped by to make sure everything was going well and shared a quick story about the stagecoach stable that still exists on her property, which was such a cool piece of history.
The campsite we stayed at was literally right next to a beautiful creek. Surprisingly, it’s still running strong even during the summer, so I can only imagine how amazing it must be in the spring!
We were also fortunate enough to experience some incredible wildlife, including owls, deer, and even a couple of foxes. They came by sniffing around our BBQ area, so we made sure to clean everything up, pick up all the trash, and dispose of it properly in the large trash bins in front of the property.
We had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend staying here. Catherine was a wonderful host, and the property was beautiful, peaceful, and full of nature and history. We would absolutely come back!
Katherine was very kind and accommodating. Communicative. The site was set up as promised. The location couldn’t be better. The horses were definitely a hit!

Beloved FORD Tractor (Creekside) !
Catherine is the most amazing host🎊 She was warm, kind, informative and over all amazing! I loved camping here at the Ford Tractor site! Loved the chickens, fur baby and the horses! The stream was to die for! Private and peaceful 🌸🩷🌸
Our stay at Quiet Soledad was great. Catherine always made sure we were comfortable, and the campsite was wonderful. The kids loved playing in the water and collecting rocks. The location is also close to the beach, so we spent all of Saturday there and then came back to our cozy campsite.
We had a wonderful time at our stay. The sound of the river, the beautiful scenery and the star filled sky at night was enjoyable. Catherine was a wonderful host.

Centrally located between Ojai and Ventura, it’s a very convenient spot. You’re going to hear traffic from Highway 33 as well as Creek Rd. but it’s off in the distance so it’s not too bad. Otherwise the campsite is very nice and clean and comfortable and Catherine is fantastic. I highly recommend this spot. It’s also very pretty and right along the creek.

Easy to get too and such a fun spot to camp! We played in the creek and just thoroughly enjoyed the property. You’re close to Ojai if you enjoy doing some activities in the town. The host was awesome and we’ll be back for sure!

We had a great stay at Rancho de Granville and would recommend it. Catherine was a friendly, welcoming, and accommodating host. The site itself is set in a very pretty valley alongside a rock creek, with plenty of space to walk around and explore.
A highlight for us was visiting the horses and chickens, which the kids especially loved. Catherine’s dog, Keira, also stopped by regularly and was very friendly. The location was about a 10-minute drive into Ojai, making it easy to pop into town when needed. Access and parking were straightforward, and we had no issues driving in and out. We tent camped for two nights with another family (four adults and two toddlers total), and it felt comfortable and well-suited for a group like ours. The weather was mostly cool and comfortable, with just a bit of light rain one night. Overall, a really special and relaxing spot.

Catherine is a very welcoming and accommodating host. Her land was beautiful, secluded and had everything we needed to enjoy a few days in Ojai. Would highly reccommend!
Catherine was a wonderfully friendly and caring host. We enjoyed talking with her. She regularly checked to make sure all was well. Horses, chickens, frogs and crickets, hawks, orioles and woodpeckers- it was a very sweet spot to stay.
People apparently had a good time at this place in 2025 to give it good reviews and the owner seems nice, but we found this place to be uncomfortable for camping in Feb 2026. We can't recommend this place. If we knew ahead of time what it was like, we would have gone elsewhere.
The campsites we found when we got there looked nothing like the photo that attracted us to the place. The title photo for this property shows a picnic table on some grass by a creek. There was not an inch of grass to be found anywhere. We bailed after one night due to a campsite that consisted of nothing but deep loose dirt, mud, sand, rocks, and debris. The picnic table was covered with misc stuff, leaves, and debris. We couldn't find one spot that looked nice enough to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Catherine was really good with our kids. She communicated with us throughout the whole booking. Great little farm with 15 chickens, stable of houses and nosey dog. Great spot for some private camping.

Has a really nice time camping at The Ford. The site is large and has lots of shaded, usable space. Tons of greenery and birds. It is close to a road and cars can be loud at night. Bring white noise or earplugs. The chickens were really fun to have nearby, and the frogs and crickets go crazy at night. Bugs are present, but not aggressive. Had a really nice stay.
Perfect little camp. Nice location close Ojai and Ventura. Also near the Ojai - Ventura Bike Path, great for biking and walking/running.
If wildfire conditions weren’t so bad we could have enjoyed a camp fire.
Friendly horses and a dog. A rooster will wake you up in the early morning.
I would visit here again.

The pictures of the property need to be updated. The creek is completely dry, there’s random poop everywhere on the property including in areas where someone would pitch their tent. The water smelled like boiled eggs and the floor had wood chips in a large area which made it very unpleasant to walk in or even try to set up camp in. I wasn’t allowed to start a campfire because “people get nervous with the smell of smoke”. That’s literally the main highlight of camping. I was really bummed out that this wasn’t how I expected it to be. The host was nice ish but it didn’t make up for the unkept property and Hipcamp site. To top it off the cars speeding near the site was loud all night. It literally never got quiet or serene. Do not recommend.
Catherine was a lovely host! We stayed at the Ford tractor, which was beside a clear creek with tons of wild watercress. The sound of crickets and frogs at night was so soothing. Just to note: expect cell service to be limited, although we didn't mind unplugging for a few days. Will definitely be coming back!

Catherine was the most accommodating host. I had a hard time getting my stakes to stay in the ground and so she graciously allowed me to set up at her other campsite on her property. Her ranch is beautifully maintained and having a bathroom made it super convenient. Also ranch dog Kierra was the best welcoming committee, beware if you pet her she won’t want you to stop!
Great large flat camping spot with horses, chickens, and nighttime nature sounds. Catherine was friendly and helpful.
Very peaceful place to lay your head. Was able to sleep at night to the sounds of frogs, owls, and other wildlife. Woke up to some deer and a few woodpeckers. No noise from people and the nearby road can’t really be heard. Host was very kind and helpful, gave me a tour of the grounds, gave me tips on nearby experiences, and was very welcoming.

We had a lovely time at Catherine’s place. The grounds are fabulous. The camping spot was perfect. Great shade and beautiful scenery. We loved petting the horses and chatting it up with the chickens. Only 20 minutes to the beach and 10 to Ojai.
