There is a portapotty in the hay barn cleaned regularly and a water spigot for non-potable water uses. There is no shower available but you could wash off hands and feet if desired with the hose.
Pets are allowed at campsites #2 and #3 only. These campsites are farthest from the horses and dogs. Please keep dogs on leash at all times.
Our property offers a beautiful view of Mount Shasta. Nature lovers, extreme sports enthusiasts, family vacationers and retirees, can all enjoy the vast recreational opportunities this area has to offer.

We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip!
No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

The land contains over a mile of trails with vistas, rock features, gnarly old "bonsai" oak trees, native plants and wildflowers. Your stay here directly supports ongoing conservation, watershed protection and fire mitigation work around the site, inquire if curious! Wildlife is prolific, mostly the friendly sort however visitors should be mindful to avoid unwelcome encounters, and any small children or pets kept under close watch. Your host can address questions or concerns.
The property is not a park, playground, or big backyard, in fact probably not much like anyplace you've been...prepare for a novel experience! Come as a guest, not a customer, and find yourself at home in the wild. Activity and development on site are minimized to enhance natural habitat and ambience. Guests are advised to minimize disturbance of other occupants and lifeforms--it's fine to have fun and make some intermittent noise but disruptive or damaging behavior will be curtailed. There is a green pipe rail gate at the end. This gate has a combination lock. You will receive the current combination code 2 days before your arrival. If you are turning onto a dirt road without a sign....you are on the wrong road. Juniper Valley Spur is my short culdesac road with a road sign and a locked green pipe rail gate at the end.
We have 3 RV sites available for campers to book. Please note that we do not have RV hookups for any of the sites. You will be parking on loose gravel and the sites are relatively flat. We can accommodate most RVs/trailers, if you are uncertain about the size just send me a message.
There is a portapotty in the hay barn cleaned regularly and a water spigot for non-potable water uses. There is no shower available but you could wash off hands and feet if desired with the hose.
Pets are allowed at campsites #2 and #3 only. These campsites are farthest from the horses and dogs. Please keep dogs on leash at all times.
Our property offers a beautiful view of Mount Shasta. Nature lovers, extreme sports enthusiasts, family vacationers and retirees, can all enjoy the vast recreational opportunities this area has to offer.
Lake Siskiyou is about 20 miles south and offers a wonderful 7-mile hiking trail around the entire lake.

Our 220 remote acres are adjacent to Shasta Trinity National Forest in the beautiful Cascade Range between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta in Northern California.
It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek.
We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip!
No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

At an elevation just under 3000 feet, the Ridge gets lots of sun, with cold nights and hot days in winter and summer respectively. This is a drier climate between May - October meaning some risk of smoke impacts from area forests, although the mountainside location generally offers clean fresh air with stunning sunsets and excellent stargazing. Best to arrive in daylight to orient and take in the scene! Count on fair to good cell service, limited central wifi and power.
The land contains over a mile of trails with vistas, rock features, gnarly old "bonsai" oak trees, native plants and wildflowers. Your stay here directly supports ongoing conservation, watershed protection and fire mitigation work around the site, inquire if curious! Wildlife is prolific, mostly the friendly sort however visitors should be mindful to avoid unwelcome encounters, and any small children or pets kept under close watch. Your host can address questions or concerns.
The property is not a park, playground, or big backyard, in fact probably not much like anyplace you've been...prepare for a novel experience! Come as a guest, not a customer, and find yourself at home in the wild. Activity and development on site are minimized to enhance natural habitat and ambience. Guests are advised to minimize disturbance of other occupants and lifeforms--it's fine to have fun and make some intermittent noise but disruptive or damaging behavior will be curtailed. Non-disruptive youth visitors welcome with reasonable supervision. This location is not set up (yet) for people with mobility challenges, or people with no prior wilderness camping experience. We originally purchased the 20 acres of untouched land and built our cabin, the "Snug Shack," as a getaway from the city. Fast forward a few years, and 40 acres next door with an abandoned house on the canyon ridge went up for sale. We decided to purchase it and start a homestead there. This is a great stop off i5!
Highlights include the am trail system right out the back door that leads to a river walk, and the close proximity to parks and waterfalls. The staff was friendly and eager to help. The airstream was tidy. If you’re a light sleeper the train and highway noise might be tough for you, and the airstream’s bed was pretty tough on my back, but it’s glamping after all.

This spot is easily accessed as it is right off of I-5. There is a large meadow area adjacent to what appears to be a section with long term residents in manufactured homes and a few campers. The meadow accommodates quite a few campers, although we were one of two overnight campers. Owners were helpful and friendly. Bathrooms with showers and a laundry room. Freeway sounds but who cares when you’re a tired traveler.

Just so so cute!
Definitely glamping so come prepared for:
-no power, but lovely outdoor patio lights and “mood” indoor lights.
-An assortment of wildlife (geese, chickens, birds, coyotes)
-a super whimsical little shed bunk with surprise delights inside
-a fantastic, responsive host.

The bathrooms were clean and they have a dumpster on site. There was a bit of road noise and a weird siren, but overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Cool airstreams and cottages backing to waking paths in the arboretum. It’s a small town, so close to grocery store and waterfall hiking trail. Friendly and helpful staff. It is right off the highway, so there is some muted road noise, but the provided earplugs and eye masks were a nice touch (although we didn’t find they were needed for us to test comfortably).

Great spot that was sheltered enough from the highway that we got a great night's sleep. Also, I had called, didn't leave a message, and got a callback from Tammy in under 10 minutes. We had already driven to another place but went back to Wonderland mostly because of noise concerns. No regrets, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Heated bathrooms were a nice touch!

Johanna was such an amazing host! Very communicative and helpful, but also hands off unless you need something. Which, I didn't once I was there. The goat shed had everything I could possibly need and more! I had forgot the cable to charge my headlamp, but a a charging cable was provided and worked great with the power bank. The hot water was a great touch. I slept great! Will make sure to re-book if I need somewhere to stay in the area again!
