This was a really nice getaway with amazing views! Vicki is awesome and so accommodating. She helps you find a good spot when you get there so if you want the most options, get in as close to check in as possible. It is off grid so make sure you’re prepared with gear cuz no electricity. I don’t know if this is normal, but temps changed drastically for us during the day. Dropped probably 30 degrees at night. We camped mid January and were in shorts in the day but would’ve frozen at night if we didn’t bring our own heaters. Cell service works but is a bit weak. Road up the mountain is narrow, bumpy, and sometimes steep. Just to keep in mind if bringing trailers. But great trip if you want beautiful Mountain View’s!

We reserved both Breakthrough and Bodhi Tree together due to our group size, and it worked out perfectly. The sites were close enough to feel like we were together and have meals together but separated enough to give a little privacy. The tents were spacious and comfortable, and there was enough open space that those who wanted to cowboy camp under the stars had room to do so. Although people usually complain about port-o-potties, the one shared by these two sites was spotless and well stocked with toilet paper.
The camp host was superb. He came back multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed, to give us a description of where we could walk, to lend us items that we forgot to pack. He even offered to guide in a late-arriving guest so they would not get lost in the dark.
The kids loved the campsite dogs who came to protect us and hang out. They, and the neighboring dogs had much to bark about at night, so pack your earplugs. But we did feel safe with them around.
As far as driving, it can be done with a regular car, though on a rainy day I would only want to try it with an all-wheel-drive with some clearance. We had a dry day. The GPS gets close. The host sent us a message to wait at a particular sign so they could guide us to the site, but we missed that sign and drove in ourselves. The last part was a bit confusing. Most of us made it directly, but a couple guests got lost. If you can, read the signs well and contact the host for help.
It was a great stay!

Had such an incredible weekend staying at Caitriona and Michele's Hermitage! The property and surrounding land is absolutely stunning and PERFECT for pups. Was an ideal mix of feeling off the grid but with modern amenities just a walk away when needed.
The energy of the land truly is so grounding and calm - you can really feel it.

I loved Tent Camping at this spot. There’s lots to do near the camp site like the Truck Trail or hiking. Our dogs definitely enjoyed their time here! The campsite itself is beautiful and Eric the host was very friendly and accommodating. He made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this spot and will stay here again!

It was a great experience, the view was very nice. I only wish the trees weren’t blocking it as much. Also the dirt road up there is very tight and narrow. It’d be a good idea to have a vehicle with higher ground clearance and good traction on tires. I aired down my tires on the way down and it was way smoother. But I would recommend, Vicki was very nice and welcoming. Only regret is I didn’t get to meet the pig up close.

I was the only one up there, it was so peaceful! Road getting up there was sandy but my motorcycle made it up and down fine. Close to the town and the nice roads around there. Clear skies were great for stargazing. Host was very accommodating and answered all my questions and offered to help out in a situation I had. Would definitely recommend. Great view out over the desert. Running water was a bonus. I think there was a toilet bit I didn't use it on my stay.

Weekend Trip to Granite Mountain
I stayed in the eagles nest (site 3) cabin over the weekend and had an absolutely wonderful experience. It’s a very cute spot both beautiful and cozy and offers the perfect balance of comfort with a true glamping feel. The cabin was thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay.
The views were breathtaking, and at night the sky was incredibly clear, allowing us to see so many stars. One of my favorite moments was having breakfast outside with a cup of coffee while taking in the peaceful surroundings and fresh air it felt calm and restorative.
The host was great: communication was easy, directions were clear, and everything from check-in to the stay itself was smooth and stress-free. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing escape in nature without sacrificing comfort.

Beautiful location and friendly host, we’d definitely stay here again! There were nice trails and it was so quiet and private. The drive on the dirt road to the campsites is a bit steep and uneven in places, which was fine for our SUVs, but we had friends with smaller cars (Prius, Mazda 3) who couldn’t comfortably make it due to their low clearance so we just shuttled them in our SUVs. We’d recommend making sure you bring a car with higher clearance.

Vicki and her daughter were so sweet and welcoming! We had the most peaceful time and the weather was pretty great for going in December. The drive up the mountain was a bit tricky because we didn’t know what to expect, but it was much faster and easier on the way down (I have a ford fusion and my car did great!). There are restrooms and showers but they are a bit far from most of the sites, there was a porta potty close by tho:)
