Foxes, Deer, Squirrels, Otters, Ducks and Herons as well as numerous songbirds that feed from our bird feeder.Lulu’s Lanai is a Flamingo-themed outdoor living room and dining area with fun vintage furniture and décor.The Take- A -Liki- Tiki Shower Shack is a great place to cool off and clean up after a day on the river or exploring tidepools at the coast. There is even a puppy bath station behind it for your furry friends!The Wack Shack is our outdoor bar and grill, full of fun, colorful lights and signs. There’s plenty of equipment to cook there: appliances, a BBQ, sink, fridge and walk-up bar.We also have several apple trees, a pear tree, and tons of blackberries when in season to share with our guest. Our Veggie Garden will be available next season to enjoy also. We are constantly improving our property so please stay in the finished designated guest areas only until we open up the coming attractions.There are plenty of sites and destinations within minutes from our home too! We have Tennis, Pickle Ball, and Basketball Courts around the corner. The Russian River/ Monte Rio public beach is a short walk past the Parks and Recreation Center, and they rent Kayaks and Canoes during the summer months. The Redwood Alliance camp is just a few miles up Bohemian Hwy if you dare to zip line through the redwood canopy forest or Armstrong woods in Guerneville for those that would rather keep their feet on the ground and take a hike to enjoy the majestic beauties. Duncan's Mill is a quaint town (less than 3 miles from us) on your way to Jenner by the Sea which is just about 9 miles to the west of us. You can take a gorgeous coastal drive to Bodega that is only 15 miles away. Historic Fort Ross is another beautiful 20 mile coastal drive. Bike Enthusiast love the back roads out here and the Biggest Attraction Is… Wait for it…. Wineries are everywhere! During the summer there are several Music Venues close by too. The Rio Nido Roadhouse has outdoor music on the weekends. Rockin the River is every other Thursday in Guerneville. The Monte Rio Variety Show just celebrated it 111th year to a sold-out crowd. Zac Brown, Steve Miller, Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor are just a few Headliners that have been here in the past.We have a great Lightwave coffee shop across the creek that is a quick 5 minute walk. There are several restaurants along the river as well as a small grocery store, movie theater, and a Homemade Ice Cream Parlor that are all close enough to walk to or drive. This place is truly special. We almost hesitated to leave a glowing review because part of us wanted to keep it a well-guarded secret (future availability anxiety is real 😉)… but if you have the opportunity to stay here, you absolutely should.
Peter is a wonderful host. Genuinely warm, welcoming, and clearly loves meeting people and sharing his beautiful property. From the moment we arrived, it felt less like checking in somewhere and more like being thoughtfully welcomed. His care for the land and the experience really comes through.
The setting is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and designed in a way that lets you fully relax and settle in. Everything felt intentional without being fussy, private yet inviting.
We loved our stay and left already talking about when we could come back. A true gem and one we’re very grateful we got to enjoy.

Stayed there with our 23' Airstream for a quick weekend trip. Site is great with power and water and it's perched on a hill over Calistoga - about a 5 minute drive to town. Peter came out and gave us a quick tour of the site and a heads up on some of the local things going on in town for the weekend which were both appreciated. If it's your first trip and you are towing, there are parts of the road where you might say, "I hope those goes to the right spot," or "I really hope I fit..." - but all was good for my sized rig. You need to back in, but there is a loop on the site to get you turned back around for leaving. We are definitely keeping it the list of places to stay when we want to spend the weekend in Napa.

The area is wonderful and we enjoyed the multitude of birds on the property! The self-serve barn near the road was simple to understand (apple cider was great!). The RV space was the perfect size for us and the bed was comfortable. We spent time enjoying parts of Petaluma, Point Reyes, and Inverness as well.

Our family had a beautiful time at Sheep Camp! Debra was a wonderful host and easy to communicate with before and throughout our stay. The kids loved the bunk beds, and we all enjoyed the outdoor dining area with its cozy lights. The farm-fresh eggs were delicious, and it was so fun to watch the chickens running around and the emus up close. It was foggy during our visit, but that only added to the magic of staying at the farm. We’d definitely love to come back!

Perfect location for wine tasting. Beautiful location with lots of privacy and solitude. Peter was exceptional in his communication. PG&E were doing some road work and he offered to travel on his quad ahead of us to make sure the road was clear. We want to return!

2 nights at Wackalulu's Wonderland
Lynda was very friendly and helpful. The property has amazing themed sites to lounge at and are large enough for a group or family if you rent both sites (cabin and boathouse). The cozy cabin has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Lynda has taken a lot of time to ensure the cabin is well stocked with useful items so you only need to bring clothes, toiletries, and food to have a great stay. We loved using the hot tub/fire pit at night and reading or playing board games on the covered porch during the day. The dimmable lights in the cabin and on the patio were such a nice touch! The cabin and surrounding area felt very private. The nearby of town of Monte Rio is within walking distance (or a quick drive) and has multiple restaurants (the food from Sarah’s Kitchen in the Highland Dell was very good). This is also a great location as there’s so much to do nearby. You’re close to the coast and multiple small towns to explore. I highly recommend staying here and cannot wait to come back!

Lynda and Rich were friendly, funny, and welcoming. Simple check in with recommendations in the neighborhood.
The photos don’t do the property justice - it is beautiful, silly, and unique. Each spot has its own privacy, and it feels like you are in your own little grove.
You’re also right next to a wonderful breakfast/lunch spot, and just a few minutes from the Russian River and Guerneville.
I highly recommend the Wackalulu Cozy Cabin to anyone reading this!

Weekend Trip to Wackalulu's Wonderland
We had the most amazing experience staying at Lynda and Rick’s Hipcamp, the Wakalulu in the boathouse. From start to finish, everything was incredible—though I think our dog Moon might have out-partied us! Lynda and Rick were fantastic hosts, so warm and kind, and the care and detail they put into their home was truly inspiring. You can see their love not only for hosting, but also for design and all things tiki. Every corner felt thoughtful and special. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at home, yet transported at the same time. This spot has officially become an annual destination for us—hopefully more than once a year—and we look forward to making many more memories here with friends and family. 💛 Daniel and Rachel + Moon

The cozy cabin was a wonderful stay!. Our hosts were very helpful, sharing all the information that we would need. There were so many thoughtful details. The hot tub was great, there were so many places to sit and enjoy the beautiful property, it felt private, the cabin was very clean, and we had everything we could want in the kitchen including coffee and a press pot. We would definitely stay again. Highest recommendation!!!

2 nights at Wackalulu's Wonderland
Nestled in a beautifully wooded enclave next to a creek, Lynda and Rich have created a yabba dabba doo whimsical cabin in the woods. We stayed in the main cabin and enjoyed all the comforts of home in a cozy cabin with all of the amenities one would need; a fully operational kitchen with coffee, dishes, a microwave, and a good sized fridge/freezer with lots of counter space, I have to mention the extremely comfortable bed and bedding, with optional warming on each individual side of the bed in case of cool nights. Fans and screens perfectly placed to keep the cabin cool on a warmer day. The cabin is located between Sebastopol and Jenner in Monte Rio and everything is 15 mins away… though the minute you sit and put your feet up you feel transported hundreds of miles away from civilization and relaxation greets you immediately. We recommend this site if you are looking for immersion into nature with the comforts of a rustic, cozy cabin in the woods!

Wackalulus Wonderland was so fun! Lynda, Rich and Bo were beyond beyond gracious and fun. We stayed in the Boat House and it was so cozy and comfy. We had sole access to a fully outfitted kitchen with a great deck area. There are so many separate spots to hang out, socialize or spend time alone appreciating the trees and the busy birds. Walking along the creek bed and just marveling at nature. It's close enough to golf, dining, the river....something for everyone. We can't wait to go back!

This is a great camp spot above Calistoga. We love the location and the attention to detail that Peter has put into this welcoming site, including electric and water, lights, table and even an outdoor shower. You can tell he put a lot of love and care into wanting people to love the site as much as he does.
Peter met us when we arrived, made sure we could back into the site, gave us a tour and How-to of everything.
This is a special place. It gave us space for us to be able to unwind and be part of nature. We will be back!

Wonderful getaway—magical grove with little surprises around every corner. We relaxed around the fire annoyed the patio and hot tub. But there’s also a tiki bar, a pirate-themed lounge, a trains, gnomes, and pink flamingos. A lovely couple hosting with lots of hospitality! The lodgings here were clearly created with a lot of love. Our stay far exceeded our expectations. Lynda & Rich went way above and beyond to answer our questions, and provide information about local activities.
The hosts did a great job of creating a number of cozy seating areas on the property.

Spent the weekend with another couple, and we had a fantastic time. The hosts are AMAZING and went above and beyond. There are two rentals, and we had the property to ourselves. We had such a wonderful stay at Wackalulu’s Wonderland this past weekend! Lynda and Rich were absolutely amazing hosts—so welcoming and attentive. They took the time and care to give us a thoughtful tour of the property, making sure we knew where everything was and felt comfortable from the start.
The property itself is very cool and unique, with just about everything you could need for a relaxing weekend getaway. From the setup to the little details, you can tell how much love and effort has gone into creating this space.
We had an incredible experience and would definitely make another trip out here. Highly recommend staying at Wackalulu’s Wonderland if you’re looking for a fun, memorable Hipcamp adventure!
