Nestled up to the wildlife preserve of the government bureau of land management which provides more of a quiet and private setting to enjoy what nature has to offer. You will see Jack rabbits and cotton tail bunnies, roadrunners, quail, owls, different type of birds, hawks, coyote, lizards, snakes and even some toads. A variety of rocks and minerals can be found for those rock hound enthusiasts as well. At the camp site you will find a horseshoe pit ,indoor and outdoor games and treasure hunts for everyone to enjoy. If you want to bring your own set of golf clubs you can even hit some balls! Pets are welcome. We provide dog kennel. There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt. Not to far there is a Casino, small store and a restaurant and about 30 minutes away from the Temecula wineries. You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). and has indoor and outdoor lights and electrical outlets to plug in a fan or your phone We have a cooler for you to use bu you will need to provide your own ice. From June to October the 100+ area open meadow is filled with horses grazing and galloping about (please don't pet or feed!) A four-seasons destination, the Ranch has year-round experiences with warm summers and snowy winters. An excellent basecamp, within close proximity to the lake, ski slopes, Pinnacles, hiking/biking and off-roading trails. After a day filled with adventure or ultimate relaxation, be sure to enjoy the breath-taking sunsets over the meadow. The evenings blanket guests with a sea of stars. Toast up some s’mores and warm up some hot-coco over a beautiful, crackling campfire. Remember the s’mores and always follow the “Leave No Trace” principles. They count as one of the allowed vehicles per campsite and must adhere to the speed limit (10mph) and remain on established camp roads while on the property. They may not be driven from 8pm to 8am. Please research which of the surrounding forestry roads allow for your vehicle type to be driven on.  Campsites on the west side of the meadow (F, G & H sites) are partially accessed by a forestry road that does not allow dirt bikes. Horses: The horses which may be roaming the meadow during your stay are not property of Holcomb Valley Ranch. When horses are present, guests and their pets are prohibited from entering the meadow. At 10,833 feet in elevation, this is the second highest peak in California. There are two ways to get to the summit. You can hike the whole thing or shave off about 6000 vertical feet by riding the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Either way, the summit is not to be missed. For a real challenge try the epic Cactus to Clouds trail. It was rated as one of the hardest day hikes in the world by Backpacking Magazine. Its 21 miles take you skyward through sub-alpine forests, mountain meadows, snow-dusted crags, and gnarled granite. An alpine start is required to avoid the midday heat so be prepared and take plenty of water. Campers have plenty to choose from. The San Jacinto area offers two drive-in campsites, four hike-in primitive campsites, and adventures for every brand of wilderness craving. 2 nights at Holcomb Valley Ranch

Had a great stay tent camping on the Holcomb ranch! Plenty of trees, views, and spots to explore or just hang out. The campsites are well maintained and spaced out from one another with access to individual fire pits and porta-potties. We were a group of 4 with 2 cars and 3 tents, and had more space on the site than we truly knew what to do with. We went mid- November and the first night was pretty cold with it getting just below freezing so make sure you're coming prepared. Special thanks to the camp manager for our stay, Ed -- he was great with prompt contact and instructions for arrival, friendly check ups and information about the site, guidelines, and the area.

We had a good time doing a girls camping trip. There was ample space between us and the other campers, there were lots of trees but also great clearing to see the sky, there was a firepit, picnic table, my dog enjoyed exploring the area, and they left water for us to put the fires out. They called to check-in that we were coming, stopped by our site to see how we were doing, and provided clear directions. Already recommended the site to other families! 10/10

The sites were decently far apart and camping in November was absolutely perfect. There weren't that many people around and the whole place was quiet. It's not the easiest road to traverse - mostly our dogs didn't like all the rocking. But overall, I would definitely come back - even if it were during the busy season. Our dogs absolutely loved being able to run around and play.

We enjoyed the solitude and the views of the desert. There are so many stars at night. Although there is an RV with plenty of space the kitchen is not functional and you have a run a generator for lights at night. As long as you’re prepared for an indoor camping and outdoor cooking experience you will be fine.

We absolutely loved our stay at Holcomb Valley Ranch. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and spacious — you truly feel like you have the whole place to yourself. It was exactly the kind of quiet, scenic escape we were looking for. The location strikes the perfect balance between seclusion and convenience, with thoughtful amenities like clean toilets, a reliable water supply, and a dumpster on-site. Weekend Trip to Skyline Mountain

Such a cool sight with just the right amount of amenities to make for a great casual camping experience. The road up is no joke and you got to be unafraid to get up a dirt road that goes up quickly, but our cars could do it, even when we came in at night. Caleb was great and communicative and we will definitley coming back for the next time do our retreat, the amphitheater so well positioned and the town at night was beautiful to look at. Great sunrises and sunsets too!

7 nights at SB Mountain Cabin Rentals

Great place, peaceful, beautiful, well maintained, and clean none toxic cookware! Haha I know that’s a funny thing to be excited about but as a cook I love stainless steel and all were stainless steel, also master bed and pillows very comfortable, Tempur-Pedic I believe. Lots of stairs, so just be aware we brought our elder dog and was a little tricky for him to navigate; but other than that, host replied quickly to all questions and highly recommended!

Holcomb Valley Ranch was one of the most peaceful beautiful properties I’ve camped at. Incredible views and very spacious - lots of privacy without feeling too remote. Porta potties available close by to each site. Very excited to come back in the summer months.

2 nights at Holcomb Valley Ranch

We had an amazing time at Holcomb Valley ranch. I camped with my five year old for two nights. Ed met us at the gate and was incredibly helpful the whole time. The campsites are large with varying levels of privacy (e.g., if you go with a group and get more than one site, there are a few that are clustered together and others that are more sheltered. The horses were roaming the meadow when we arrived, and my son was entranced. The road up from the main highway is bumpy and can take about 15 minutes, but once you're on the highway, you're 5-10 minutes from anything you need. I highly recommend this campground - we can't wait to go back.

Thank you guys so much for an excellent birthday weekend. Such great hosts greeted us the evening of our arrival and even put a happy birthday flag out with very short notice . Cabin is secluded with only the sounds of nature which was exactly what we were looking for. Still close enough to town to not be inconvenient. Definitely will be coming back.
