At 10,833 feet in elevation, this is the second highest peak in California. There are two ways to get to the summit. You can hike the whole thing or shave off about 6000 vertical feet by riding the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Either way, the summit is not to be missed.
For a real challenge try the epic Cactus to Clouds trail. It was rated as one of the hardest day hikes in the world by Backpacking Magazine. Its 21 miles take you skyward through sub-alpine forests, mountain meadows, snow-dusted crags, and gnarled granite. An alpine start is required to avoid the midday heat so be prepared and take plenty of water.
Campers have plenty to choose from. The San Jacinto area offers two drive-in campsites, four hike-in primitive campsites, and adventures for every brand of wilderness craving. Each campsite is approximately one acre, and generously-distanced from neighboring campers. Amenities include its own fire ring with grilling grate and picnic table(s).
The campsites are both cozy enough for 2 or spacious enough for large groups and can easily accommodate a mix of RVs, camper vans and tents.
From June to October the 100+ area open meadow is filled with horses grazing and galloping about (please don't pet or feed!) A four-seasons destination, the Ranch has year-round experiences with warm summers and snowy winters. An excellent basecamp, within close proximity to the lake, ski slopes, Pinnacles, hiking/biking and off-roading trails.
After a day filled with adventure or ultimate relaxation, be sure to enjoy the breath-taking sunsets over the meadow.
The evenings blanket guests with a sea of stars. Toast up some s’mores and warm up some hot-coco over a beautiful, crackling campfire. Remember the s’mores and always follow the “Leave No Trace” principles. There are large trash bins by the entrance.

OHV’s are allowed. They count as one of the allowed vehicles per campsite and must adhere to the speed limit (10mph) and remain on established camp roads while on the property. They may not be driven from 8pm to 8am. It is strictly forbidden to ride your vehicles through the forest, meadow or off any established roads on or off property. Please research which of the surrounding forestry roads allow for your vehicle type to be driven on. Campsites on the west side of the meadow (F, G & H sites) are partially accessed by a forestry road that does not allow dirt bikes.
Horses: The horses which may be roaming the meadow during your stay are not property of Holcomb Valley Ranch. When horses are present, guests and their pets are prohibited from entering the meadow. Please do not approach, interact, feed or touch the horses. This is for your safety and the safety of the horses. Do, however, take lots of photos! They make a perfect backdrop:)

It's so nice to "meet you" my name is Taryn and my hubby's name is Anson. We are parents to two-year-old twins, so saying we have our hands full is an understatement. Anson is a folk and blues musician and has traveled
all around the U.S. playing his music and I work for a children's book company. One day, we decided that we wanted to live the rest of our lives hosting live music, and events and that's how Rock & Tree began. As the idea grew, we wanted to create an Open Canvas so that the guest could dream up what they wanted on our stage. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, re purposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees.
Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events. My girlfriend and I had an amazing time here. From the start David the Ranch Manager met us on his ATV. He told us the history, went over the wildlife of the area and showed us where the bathroom and shower were (which were kept in excellent condition). The Orchard was amazing and it avoids using pesticides and herbicides and the plant and wildlife made you feel like you were really camping. David’s hospitality and the beautiful landscape will definitely have us coming back again for a weekend get away.

The property and the host were amazing! The camping area was beautiful and secluded, and was the perfect spot for a private get away with friends. There were 3 picnic tables and a big cleared area with a centralized fire pit.
There were plenty of spaces for larger vehicles/RV’s, and also many level places to pitch tents. Hiking on the property, and listening to a huge variety of birdsong were my favorite parts. Numerous long and short hikes in the San Bernardino National Forest were just a few min drive away.
The host was readily available for questions and always answered texts within a few min.
The WIFI was an unexpected bonus and allowed us to keep tabs on the World Cup scores. :)

High desert protocol is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed! The Gallery was a little hard to find at first but Tao was super responsive, and it was conveniently located by the kitchen, common spaces and pool. The pool and hot tub are so lovely and the star gazing is unreal. We definitely hope to come back.

Very nice space for a simple campsite. We wanted to get away from the town/city, as the location provides mountains and some homes nearby. The host, Garth, was very kind and communicative. Always messaging us with updates and was transparent. I would say the campsite is on their land, so their home is next door. We had the opportunity to be the only campers on the property, which was a plus, since the campsites are less than 10 feet apart. A neighbor had a party until 2 a.m., which was unexpected and beyond the host's control. We did not have the best quality of sleep. Besides that, we still had a wonderful time on their site! :)

1 night at Mineral Spring Date Farm
Beautiful and private. The mineral pool was so relaxing, with the option to heat up more when it cools down outside. The sunset was amazing! Host Ronald was very accommodating.

Our stay at Camp Durrwood was nothing less than amazing. From booking to check out our host, Walid, was very communicative, friendly and personable. Directions were clear and the property was easily accessible. We absolutely loved the property, the privacy and the many options for dispersed camping. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and miss it already. We will certainly be returning soon with friends and family!

This is a gorgeous ranch with beautiful views of the surrounding hills and mountains. The scenery is stunning, with hiking options throughout the property. We saw rabbits, lizards, and an owl during our walks. Our site was private and quiet, with a wood burning stove for cooking, and a stone's throw from a FANTASTIC (hotel quality) bathroom. The site even has misters threaded into the pergola that you can turn on to keep you cool on hot days. Rich, the ranch owner and our gracious host, made us feel very welcome upon arrival. He gave us an awesome tour of the property, including how they make olive oil from their olive orchard. We had a great stay and we thank you, Rich, for sharing the property with us!
