Our private camp is located riverside on the South Fork of the American River. Our sites are located next to the river under shady oak trees. You'll have a private place to relax and swim at the river. The river is swift but we have a few calm pools in front of our resort to wade and float in. We have modern restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers for your use. We can accommodate large groups in site 1 and we have small private camp sites 2 and 3 as well.
Our Yurt is located on a bluff overlooking the river. The yurt can accommodate 2 adults. Please bring your own bedding, towels and other items.
We have a kitchen area available to large groups and special events for an extra charge. We provide a picnic table and trash can for each private campsite. Wood fires or charcoal cooking are not allowed after July 1 due to fire danger. You may bring a small gas stove or propane grill to do simple cooking. There are several places to eat within a short walk from our campground. We do not allow cars to drive down to the campsites in order to keep the sites pristine. Cars are allowed to park in our main area in our private camp and carts are provided for the short walk to our camp sites.

The L3 Ranch was founded in 1974 when my grandfather bought the property for his show cows. In 1978, someone gave him a racehorse to pay off a debt. From then on, the property was known for its Quarter horse race horses, with some of the best in the state being born right here. In 2013 he found our he had cancer and handed the ranch down to me, Travis. While he survived the cancer, he's happy in retirement playing cards with his buddies every week and hanging out with his dog.Now the ranch is known for its horse boarding, cattle, and goats. We even hold weddings and events at the lake sometime. My main goal is to bring the ranch in a more in line with sustainable ranching. Its a process, but I love what I am doing, and where the ranch is going.

We really enjoyed our first stay on the ranch! The spot is perfect for families with kids and dogs, trailers or tents. The extra amenities like row boats, firewood, plenty of seating, huge picnic/cooking area and flush toilets really set this place apart. Travis was a great host and made our stay stress-free and super relaxing.
(The weather was beautiful at the end of October) We can’t wait to go back!

Our time there was very private and safe. We had to leave our RV for a few days to look for property to purchase and everything was left the same when we came back. Our RV was left a few times in a trusting environment behind an electric gate. At arrival, you are given a remote to this gate to come and go as you please. Our spot was secluded and very peaceful. I would definitely recommend this rv park to a friend. I had several dogs with me and they were very happy as well. It’s a beautiful and peaceful location with plenty of room for your furry loved ones.

We had a nice weekend camping at Pond Bank Waterfront. The property was easy to find and access. We parked our trailer parallel to the pond so that we had a nice view of it. We were the only ones accessing the pond so that was nice. We were aware of neighbors across the pond but they are far enough away that it was no issue. We really enjoyed watching all of the birds come and go to the pond. Sunrises and sunsets were beautiful!
We liked that the location of the property is so close to things to do during our stay. We spent the afternoon on Saturday checking out the Kennedy Mine and Kennedy Tailing Wheels. Fascinating. Walking around Sutter Creek was fun too.
The only issue we had were mosquitos which come any place with water. Just be prepared for them to come out an hour or so before sunset. We didn't have any issue with them during the day.

Having a private reservoir to unwind at was a lovely addition to our weekend away. We explored some local trails with our dog and then came to fish and relax by the resorvoir. There are some neighbors with animals that are chatty but that is to be expected out in the country. We took out the paddleboat and enjoyed hours relaxing on the land. Thanks James!

We loved our stay at River Park Resort! The campsite was very clean and just a short hop and skip to the beautiful river. The sights were amazing, and we really enjoyed hanging out by the water, which was flowing nicely and felt very peaceful.
This spot is definitely kid-friendly — my 2- and 4-year-olds enjoyed every bit of it! With a big group of about 20 people, check-in was a breeze and the restrooms were spotless. We all can’t wait to come back and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and family-friendly camping experience.

This was truly a peaceful & private place. The breeze at night after the heat of the day was so refreshing. Very dog friendly. And being close enough to town to pick up supplies & far enough away to not hear the city's sounds was perfect. We already have plans in place for next year.

We stayed at Site 2 with our family, together with our close friend and his family. The site was perfect for our camp setup, and we still have a lot of space for the children to play around. Accessible to the bathroom and shower room as well as the washing station. Porta-potties are clean. Even at nighttime, there are lights on the path to guide you while walking. The whole place was clean and well-maintained. Even if it’s along the road, you can barely hear any vehicle sounds because of the sound of the rushing water from the river. It was a perfect getaway location, plus they have a very friendly doggie that gets along with our dog—great place to reset from our daily busy lives. Our site is in a flat area and is accessible to use the camp amenities and access to go in the water. During our stay, there are no mosquitoes. Lastly, Mike is a great host and surely gives you the information you need. Very much recommend his place 👍👍👍👍👍
