What to expect:
We are in a rural neighborhood where most parcels are 1-3 acres, we have seven acres. It's quiet around here but along with the natural sounds of the desert like yipping coyotes, and woodpeckers pecking, you may hear a horse, dog, or chicken. While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote.
We have carved our sites out of the natural layout of the desert. There are many kinds of cactus in our area in addition to the magnificent Saguaro, and uneven areas when walking. We keep it as natural as possible.
We have a small "Mercantile" on property. This is our office, but we also have items you may have forgotten, and souvenirs made by local artists. Also available is firewood, and ice is for sale for your convenience. We have a small Laundry Shack (two washers, two dryers) 2.00 wash/2.00 dry. You'll need cash for these things, we do not take any other form of payment at this time.
Camp Saguaro is tobacco-free.

I offer 4 dry camping options. You can book the Tent Cabana-The Shady Rest- listing or you can dry camp by booking through my Tent and Vehicle Camping listing. There are no exact designated spaces for tent/vehicle camping. You can choose where you prefer to camp. An extra vehicle is OK as long as it's part of your one campsite. 2 groups with 2 camp vehicles is 2 campsites.
I also have the Pool House, an indoor option with a power outlet, and it's close to the pool and restroom area. You can set up your bed or rent a full size bed which I will set up for you.
This is my private property, you and your gear are safe and secure. You can leave your campsite and go exploring, no one will bother your stuff.
I have WiFi and great cell service here. You MUST arrive by dark unless arrangements are made in advance.
I will greet you and show you around. I close my gates at dark. Once you are here you may come and go as you please.
I am located just over an hour away from Tucson and 25 minutes off the 10.
Dry campers- Off the pool area there is a clean restroom in my back garage and a sink with hot water. There is a breakfast room with clean refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker available for your use. Lots of local birds visit daily. You are welcome to visit and pet my horses and donkeys!

When my husband and I were dating in NY we confessed our mutual desire to get back "home" to the west. It made me fall in love with him even faster. So when we married we moved to Washington DC knowing that in time we would make it west. 5 years later, when the traffic and the politics has taken its toll, we made a trip to Tucson and fell in love with this charming property that exudes all the beauty and grace of the Sonoran Desert. We looked at each other as we walked around looking at the stunning Mtn. Views and the mesquite fence and knew we were finally "home."

The home was built by my parents in ‘82. My Mom was an avid hiker and outdoors person. She collected and planted agave pups in the yard and tended to them over the years. Because they’re watered and the pups are removed each spring they continue to grow to mammoth size.

We (Tim and Victoria) moved out to our place in the desert in February 2008 along with our many plants. We have continued to grow our little farm of 6 acres to what it is today, which includes an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees and enclosed garden/greenhouse structures with veggies and herbs that are protected from wildlife and the elements. We have a seasonally heated pool with 3/4 wraparound deck and amazing views of the Tucson Mountains. We have a basketball court, a ping pong table, cornhole court as well for recreation. Our Beach site has a domed 'chill zone' with heaters in the winter, comfortable chairs for relaxation and a great spot to let your dog hang out unleashed. Our Prickly Pear site has a pull through for campers and RVs. Our RV site has 30 amp electric and black water dump station.
All of our sites are fenced in, and have many, many cool amenities such as fire pits, sinks with fresh, pure water, table with 4 chairs, gas grills and lounge chairs/porch swing.
Our property in a 160-acre neighborhood surrounded by open desert state lands.
In our sustainable community/neighborhood are like minded, peaceful people who are as connected to and respectful of the land as we are.

Park your RV at our place on your travels, we are 5 min off the interstate! Dirt road is great for walking, some parts of the year people pass through for birding. Some people come to check out the area to potentially move to the area and some only come for the winters. We also have a short little nature trail that we made ourselves. We are 30 minutes south of Tucson, 25 minute drive away from Madera Canyon/Coronado National Forest for some great hiking and bird watching! No light pollution so you can see the stars good at night. Remember the term sky island. Here in southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico, mountains seemingly come out of nowhere to dominate an otherwise flat landscape. Discover the five distinct areas of this national forest, all of which have their own sky islands.

I offer 4 dry camping options. You can book the Tent Cabana-The Shady Rest- listing or you can dry camp by booking through my Tent and Vehicle Camping listing. There are no exact designated spaces for tent/vehicle camping. You can choose where you prefer to camp. An extra vehicle is OK as long as it's part of your one campsite. 2 groups with 2 camp vehicles is 2 campsites.
I also have the Pool House, an indoor option with a power outlet, and it's close to the pool and restroom area. You can set up your bed or rent a full size bed which I will set up for you.
This is my private property, you and your gear are safe and secure. You can leave your campsite and go exploring, no one will bother your stuff.
I have WiFi and great cell service here. You MUST arrive by dark unless arrangements are made in advance.
I will greet you and show you around. I close my gates at dark. Once you are here you may come and go as you please.
I am located just over an hour away from Tucson and 25 minutes off the 10.

We have continued to grow our little farm of 6 acres to what it is today, which includes an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees and enclosed garden/greenhouse structures with veggies and herbs that are protected from wildlife and the elements. We have a seasonally heated pool with 3/4 wraparound deck and amazing views of the Tucson Mountains. We have a basketball court, a ping pong table, cornhole court as well for recreation. Our Beach site has a domed 'chill zone' with heaters in the winter, comfortable chairs for relaxation and a great spot to let your dog hang out unleashed. Park your RV at our place on your travels, we are 5 min off the interstate! Dirt road is great for walking, some parts of the year people pass through for birding. Some people come to check out the area to potentially move to the area and some only come for the winters. We also have a short little nature trail that we made ourselves. We are 30 minutes south of Tucson, 25 minute drive away from Madera Canyon/Coronado National Forest for some great hiking and bird watching! No light pollution so you can see the stars good at night. Remember the term sky island. Here in southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico, mountains seemingly come out of nowhere to dominate an otherwise flat landscape. Discover the five distinct areas of this national forest, all of which have their own sky islands.
Start your wanderings at Sabino Canyon. Steep rock cliffs and unique desert vegetation follow Sabino Creek, which maintains water year-round. Keep a sharp eye out for desert wildlife adapted for high heat and low humidity. Gila monsters may sun themselves on rocks, while bobcats sip from the creek's water.
Discover Miller Peak, the highest peak in the Huachuca Mountains. Wilderness surrounding the area comprises vertical cliffs and deep canyons. This place is nothing short of magical. The land itself is breathtakingly beautiful, quiet in a way that settles your nervous system, and expansive enough to make you feel small in the best, most grounding way. The hosts, Deacon and Debi, are equally wonderful. They were attentive without being intrusive, checking in on us periodically to make sure we were safe and comfortable. They and their adorable, energetic border collies became the highlight of those check-ins and we looked forward to their visits. After a few days, my 6 y.o. would excitedly jump up and down when he heard their UTV coming our way. It truly feels like a lovely family sharing their piece of paradise with you.
We stayed at both the glamping site and a traditional site, and also toured their cute, cozy, squeaky clean Airstream. The property itself offers incredible hiking opportunities, and if you’re adventurous, you may even stumble upon an old 1800s house hidden out on the land.
If you stay here, expect to leave a changed person in the best possible way. This place is tranquil, raw, and stunning. It’s the perfect environment to unplug, slow down, and reset. Truly a human factory data reset.
DO Check in with Deacon on arrival. UTV-led entry needed -Bring an air horn for mountain lions and rogue cows.
DO NOT Arrive after dark to set up or expect help setting up camp-bring equipment you know how to use.

As they have in so many communities along their journeys, Michelle and Kim have created a place of ease, warm welcome, and artful treasures at Camp Saguaro!
We found the flush toilets clean and well maintained. Both the toilets and the hot-on-demand showers had motion-sensitive lights making them easy to use in the dark desert nights. Their land is well kept, with gravel trails and marked pathways raked free of prickly bits daily.
They have nestled their sites and community spaces within the rich Sonoran Desert landscape. We felt at once surrounded by the birds and plants of the area, as well as cozy and secure with the amenities of the common facilities: the kitchen sink for dishwashing, flush toilets with adjoining handwashing sinks, laundry, firewood for sale, and the wonderful wee Mercantile (chock full of locally-made art, snacks, plentiful info, and if you’re really lucky you’ll be able to buy a loaf of Kim’s Sourdough bread!!)
We’ve already begun to recommend Camp Saguaro to our friends and fellow travelers looking for friendly, well-run spot for smaller rigs to dry camp, with all the amenities!!!

Iron Quail Ranch is secluded and quiet. Although I had to leave in the mornings to go to work locally, it was wonderful to return to the peace and quiet of the ranch after a hectic workday. It met my needs for a place to stay while working. It has beautiful desert scenery, mountain views and livestock seen and unseen in around the ranch. Your host Michael is quite knowledgeable of desert vegetation, wildlife and conservation. There is value in talking to him if you want to understand how to farm in a desert environment. If you just need an "out of the way," getaway, this is the place to go.

Michaelette and her husband Owen are The Best Hosts! Communication before we arrived was excellent. Michaelette and Owen welcomed us when we arrived and helped us back in our travel trailer on a paved pad beside their home. Power, water, sewer and wifi are all included at a very reasonable price. Michaelette gave us a prepared handout with recommended restaurants and places to see in the area, which was very helpful. Thanks so much for having us!

Beautiful spot to camp in an amazing community. Our hosts and neighbors were all friendly, caring, and welcoming. The campsites were nice and tidy, the bathroom, shower, and laundry facilities were all in great shape. Patagonia is small, but the campsite is an easy walk to the main street. We only moved our vehicle once to start a bike route.

I absolutely loved this campsite! It was comfortable, clean, and cute. The hot showers were amazing (and clean!) Fabulous, convenient spot! Walkable to town and the the Paton Center for hummingbirds. I biked about 12 miles down Blue Haven road. It was awesome.
The property is quiet, and very neat and clean, Joni, the camp host, is very friendly and happy to assist. I’m going back!

Awesome campground, nice sites and lots of amenities. Bathroom and sink washing area were very clean and laundry area was a bonus. Very close to Saguaro west side. Only negative was road noise and barking dogs in the neighborhood. would highly recommend.
