Our sunsets and night star-gazing are just spectacular and we're enough off the beaten path that there's no crowds or traffic to deal with, but you are close to dining and area attractions.
This is a quiet, rural neighborhood and a peaceful farm that borders the National Forest for easy hiking and few neighbors. The farm animals do cluck, crow, whinny, neigh, baa, bleat, squeal, and oink at various times, including early morning.
There is one mile of a somewhat bumpy gravel road with hills to reach our neighborhood, so please make sure you are ready for that and have adequate towing power. The nearest services and dining are 5 minutes away. We are about 25-30 minutes to Sedona, the Village of Oak Creek,
and the popular red rock hiking sites. There are many wineries and dining right down the road to enjoy.
1 hour to Flagstaff, 2 hours to Phoenix.

At 6000ft elevation the air is much cleaner and the weather is much cooler, especially in the summer time! We have plenty of space. A well house to fill up your water. There are also outdoor bathrooms, no shower yet, but working on that! We're just a short seven minute drive to the dump station at a local gas station down the road on the Deuce of Clubs and Penrod. We are 14 minutes from a large hospital, 10 minutes from major grocery stores, shopping and restaurants, and many other fun activities. Our location is in a perfect spot to enjoy the blue sky and great weather. Sunrise Ski area is a quick drive too! Pinetop Lakeside are within 10 minutes, Taylor and Snowflake are within 15 to 25 minutes. We hope you visit and continue to keep our environment clean and a chill spot to visit. This is my own little private horse ranch, pretty and clean, I live here and I am here working on premises every day. I do my best to make my guests comfortable and make sure they enjoy their stay. I prefer adult guests, however if your child is well behaved then I will make an exception. I have a clean indoor restroom and a nice breakfast area on a well maintained property? You are safe here and so is your stuff. Good well behaved dogs allowed on leash welcome, no Pit Bulls please. No loud music please.
I offer 2 full hook-up spaces, one space is covered. Power is 50 AMPS! An RV must be under 12' to fit under the covered space.
I offer 4 dry camping options. You can book the Tent Cabana-The Shady Rest- listing or you can dry camp by booking through my Tent and Vehicle Camping listing. There are no exact designated spaces for tent/vehicle camping. You can choose where you prefer to camp. An extra vehicle is OK as long as it's part of your one campsite. 2 groups with 2 camp vehicles is 2 campsites.
I also have the Pool House, an indoor option with a power outlet, and it's close to the pool and restroom area. You can set up your bed or rent a full size bed which I will set up for you.
This is my private property, you and your gear are safe and secure. You can leave your campsite and go exploring, no one will bother your stuff.
I have WiFi and great cell service here. Please arrive by 10pm unless arrangements are made in advance. I meet with you and show you around.
I will greet you personally and show you around. I close my gates at dark or once guests have arrived. Once you are here you may come and go as you please, I just ask that you shut the gates if you come in after dark. The gates will not be locked.
I am located just over an hour away from Tucson and 25 minutes off the 10.
Dry campers- Off the pool area there is a clean restroom in my back garage and a sink with hot water. There is a breakfast room with clean refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker and coffee w/sugar and creamers available for your use. There is a fire pit at the outside green cabana, and free mesquite firewood. Lots of local birds visit daily. You are welcome to visit and pet my horses and donkeys! All of my guests are my close friends coming for a visit!

Our property and neighborhood are part of one of Sedona’s original homesteads. The campsite is located on a half-acre orchard, but a smaller designated area has been sectioned off for guests. Please refer to the diagram in the photos for details. Guests are not permitted in the larger field and orchard areas.
We have several shade trees, a small grassy area, and a picnic table. Stroll through the neighborhood and enjoy the orchards and local wildlife, especially the birds.
We are a short 10–15 minute walk to the Hillside Shopping Center and Tlaquepaque. Mountain biking to the Hangover and Huckaby Trailhead is about 10 minutes. The bottom of Adobe Jack and Javelina is about a 5-minute mountain bike ride. Broken Arrow Trailhead is about a 10-minute mountain bike ride. Marg’s Draw (wilderness area) is about a 2-minute drive.
Our site can only accommodate smaller vehicles, primarily camper vans or cab-over campers. All units must be fully self-contained. There are no restrooms on site, and we ask guests not to urinate on the property. Absolutely no drugs or parties. Quiet hours begin after sunset. We are located in a quiet neighbourhood and ask guests to be respectful of our neighbours.

We have continued to grow our little farm of 6 acres to what it is today, which includes an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees and enclosed garden/greenhouse structures with veggies and herbs that are protected from wildlife and the elements. We have a seasonally heated pool with 3/4 wraparound deck and amazing views of the Tucson Mountains. We have a basketball court, a ping pong table, cornhole court as well for recreation. Our Beach site has a domed 'chill zone' with heaters in the winter, comfortable chairs for relaxation and a great spot to let your dog hang out unleashed. Our Prickly Pear site has a pull through for campers and RVs. Our RV site has 30 amp electric and black water dump station.
All of our sites are fenced in, and have many, many cool amenities such as fire pits, sinks with fresh, pure water, table with 4 chairs, gas grills and lounge chairs/porch swing.
Our property in a 160-acre neighborhood surrounded by open desert state lands.

So when we married we moved to Washington DC knowing that in time we would make it west. 5 years later, when the traffic and the politics has taken its toll, we made a trip to Tucson and fell in love with this charming property that exudes all the beauty and grace of the Sonoran Desert. We looked at each other as we walked around looking at the stunning Mtn. Views and the mesquite fence and knew we were finally "home."
I've always adored the SW Hummingbirds and wanted to name the property La Hacienda Chuparosa. When we moved in, for the first week, every morning a hummingbird was sipping nectar from one of our plants in the front yard. We knew it was meant to be.

Site#1 has Full Hook Up - Running water, sewage RV Hookup of 30amp and 50amp electricity, for $45. Site#2 and Site#3 are side by side. They have running water and priced at $25. each. These two Sites are better for tents or a small trailer. A personal generator may be used but only during certain hours. These are lovely spots with shade trees, so pretty. There are lots of mature Juniper trees and some Pine trees that provide shade on the property. Often we experience a lovely breeze. We live a mile off of 260 on a rugged dirt road. We keep the Entrance Gate locked for safety and security.
We are located on 2 acres and have a garden and a green house where we grow a large variety of vegetables. We only accept trailers and fifth wheels of 21 feet or less on site #2 and #3. There is a Chicken House and a rooster and we have plenty of farm fresh eggs that are available to purchase.
0ur home is tucked away 1 mile off the 260 Hwy. on a rugged dirt road. First you will drive pass the Linden Valley Arena before reaching our property. The Arena was designed for ropers by ropers and is open from May thru September.
10-15 minute drive away is Fool Hollow lake, Show Low City Park, Safeway Grocery Store, Post Office, Library, and a variety of restaurants. Within that distance there is Boating, Fishing, Hiking, Picnic Areas, Large Dog Park, well equipped Playground area, Basketball Courts, Baseball fields, Sand Volley Ball, Tennis Courts, Racquet Ball Court, Horseshoe Pits, Disc Golf, Outdoor Exercise Stations, Walking Trail, Pavilions, Restrooms all the while enjoying the enormous, plentiful Ponderosa Pines. Show Low City Park Aquatic Center has 6 lane 25-yard pool with an adjoining leisure pool featuring zero-depth entry, Spray Fountain, Water Slide, Indoor Spa.
Show Low was named by the turn of a Card. A ranch of nearly 100,000 acres jointly owned by Marion Clark and Croydon Cooley a U.S. army scout. According to legend, sometime around 1876, the partners decided that there was not enough room for both of them
and one of them should leave. They decided to settle this issue over a game of "Seven Up" (with the winner taking the ranch and the loser leaving.) After the game seemed to have no winner in sight the game reached it's climax when
Clark said, "If you can show low, you win." At this point
Cooley turned up the deuce of clubs, and declared "Show Low" it is! Show Low

Unwind in the hot tub, fire up your favorite meal in the outdoor kitchen, relax in one of our many seating areas, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Whether you're staying in one of our vacation rentals or bringing your RV, our goal is to give you a memorable escape that feels personal, comfortable, a little different from the ordinary.
We have several primitive campsites that can accommodate campervans and tents as well as several full hook-up sites (30 amp electric, water and sewer).
You will be welcomed into a peaceful, desert oasis with luxurious amenities and find yourself immersed in a tranquil, serene setting surrounded by breathtaking views.
Not only will you experience warm hospitality from your hosts, but our friendly farm animals will give you a warm welcome too!
Guests are welcome to interact with all of our animals during our afternoon chores around 4:30p.m.
In addition to your personal, spacious campsite you are sure to enjoy all the amenities we offer, including shared access to our entire property with many seating areas, hammocks, covered patios, water fountains, outdoor kitchen, horseshoe pit, games and hot tub.

Laura and Bruce are good/kind people. They went above and beyond to make sure my dog, River, and I were taken care of during the flood warning and heavy winds. If our travels bring us this way again, we would happily stay again. If you're traveling solo, you will feel very safe on their property.

We were in Boondock site B, it was clean and provided great amount of space for our setup. We were only passing through for the night, but it was a very clean and safe place to lay our heads for the night before moving on to our final destination! The hosts were very responsive, as we sent in our request later in the evening and they promptly responded with thorough directions and accepted our request without delay!

Grand Canyon Oasis is a hidden value. Located as close as possible to Wupatki National Monument and Sunset Crater National Monument, it is right off of 89.
We were boondocking, so no hookups (hookups are available, as well as some tiny homes for rent) - but were able to use the clubhouse, which features a bathroom (no showers), a great assortment of drinks and snacks (honor system), and a nice selection of gifts for purchase. The clubhouse also has areas to hang out, laundry facilities, and other nice touches (books to read, binoculars to borrow, etc).
The entire property is well kept, and maintained, and the boondock area was a great value given the proximity to the monuments and to Flagstaff.

The campground was very nice. I camped in a tent site. It was dry camping, but they have an awesome clubhoue with even more than you could need. Adma was super nice and helpful with my questions. It is convenient to the Natl Monument circle.

Wonderful open and clean desert camping space technically in Williams, but closer to Valle... Which means closer to the Grand Canyon (35 minutes?)!
Great jumping point to Sedona, Flagstaff, Williams and Jerome as well.
The sunrises and sunsets are beautiful and if it weren't for the full moon the skies would have been incredible at night . We felt safe and isolated at the same time and only saw 3 vehicles in our 5 day stay.
The roads in are rough, so go slow, if wet they are very slick as well a higher clearance vehicle is recommended.
Use the GPS coordinates for best results, there is a log with colored tape near the entrance and a red shack diagonally across from the site now.
The market at the Bedrock RV is great as well as the rock shop nearby. Safeway in Williams has everything else you might need and is only 35 minutes away.
Although Luis was not available in the area he was a responsive and great host.

This was an amazing experience! I went with a group of friends, and we all had a wonderful time exploring the site’s creeks, historical buildings, and diverse views! The only thing I will add is if you have a sedan you will not be able to cross the creek. No worries, however, the hosts helped us along the way. We will definitely be back, and I recommend this for any campers who want a beautiful night sky and property!

Decent site for sleeping in my camper truck. Clubhouse provides a few nice amenities. Due to road noise be sure to bring a good pair of earplugs. The best part was the fantastic view of the open wilderness area behind the site, and some of the most spectacular clouds I’ve seen in a while!

We reserved a slot at Ethel’s on our way north to Tetons and Yellowstone. It was great spot to spend the night. Easy to get to, check in was easy and the hosts were friendly. Had all we needed. We are staying again on the return trip home.

Where to go
Northern Arizona
While northern Arizona's best-known attraction is the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park, there’s plenty more to see and do, from visiting Lake Powell on the Colorado River to backcountry tent camping among the ponderosa pines in the Coconino National Forest, Prescott National Forest, and Kaibab National Forest. Sedona, just south of Flagstaff, also makes a great base for hiking among Arizona's Red Rocks or swimming in Oak Creek Canyon’s Slide Rock State Park.
Western Arizona
Dubbed Arizona's "West Coast," this part of the state offers all sorts of outdoor activities, much of which revolve around the Colorado River. The town of Yuma near the southern border is a popular spot, featuring an old Wild West prison and serving as a good base for visiting the Cibola National Wildlife Refuge. Attractions further north include Lake Havasu State Park, where you can swim, camp, or even check out the 19th-century London Bridge. Further north, the massive Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers year-round camping and easy access to two lakes.
Central Arizona
While it's easy to associate central Arizona with Phoenix sprawl, this region offers a lot for outdoorsy types, all within a short drive of the city. Popular spots for outdoors lovers include the Superstition Mountains in the Tonto National Forest, Lost Dutchman State Park, and the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. If you're interested in archaeology, the Montezuma Castle National Monument is also worth a visit.
Southern Arizona
Southern Arizona is full of Wild West spirit, with a mix of historic ghost towns and scenic desert landscapes, plus plenty of forests, particularly in the Chiricahua Mountains. Must-visit parks include Saguaro National Park and Catalina State Park—both just outside Tucson. If it gets too hot, make like a local and head to Patagonia Lake State Park, a prime spot to swim and cool off from the Arizona heat.
