We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, a king shepherd named Jack and a cat named Lulu. You may see some of our neighbour's ducks walking around and hear their rooster in the morning.
Please note; our driveway is an uphill, switchback driveway so long trailers are not a fit for our location. Front wheel or 4 wheel is a plus but typically all vehicles can make it up our driveway.
We have 2 swimming holes near and backing our property. At the back of the property is Hayward Lake/Hairsine Creek which is great for swimming. Inflatable paddle boards are the way to go if you wish to paddle board in the lake since it would be difficult portaging a rigid paddle board down the Crown Land trail. On the front is the Stave River Runoff. This has trails and is ideal if you have smaller children as the water is a bit warmer and has shallow areas.
There are hiking trails in the area and a beach area a short drive from the sites.

Come camp on a 40-acre parcel backing onto crown land mountains and wake up in front of 10 acres of vineyard and a view of Okanagan Lake!
There is a small cabin and two camp sites to choose from.
Site 1 is best suited for tents and small campervans, less than 18' or so (though people with small trailers like tear drop campers have been fine).
Site 2 has a much larger flat area that can hold RVs up to 30'.
Cabin available for those that want to sleep in a cozy bed and have a warm fire :)
Outhouse on the property, which is just a pit toilet. It is a working farm so will likely have various equipment around at times as well as workers at certain times of the year. You’ll likely meet our very friendly and very energetic Bernedoodle, Bernie. If you prefer to keep him out of your campsite just let us know and we can keep him closer. Otherwise, he thinks he has the run of the place! Please check to see if campfires are allowed (live in a high-risk fire zone) and firewood is available with an extra charge. If you need anything to better enjoy your stay, just let us know!
Our property is located in Peachland, BC. Positioned midway between Kelowna and Pentiction, it is the perfect location to draw from both population centres and is well-positioned to act as a hub for popular wine and other agri-tourism activities. Peachland is within easy reach of over 200 estate wineries and microbreweries.

We have large area cleared for RVs, trailers, tents or camper van dispersed camping sites. The ranch has ten 30 amp power sites with lots of room to turn around and most you can drive right through without having to back up.
Views of mountains in every direction with lots of wild birds in the area. We have horses, cows, sheep, chickens, dogs and cats at the ranch. The small working ranch is in the Rocky mountain trench with the Rocky Mountains to the east the Caribou range to the east and the Monashee Mountains to the south.

Nearby activities include hiking, biking( bike rentals available in town), climbing, fishing, paddling.
The site is 20 minutes from Mount Robson Provincial Park (Berg Lake trailhead) and just over an hour to Jasper National Park. Valemount townsite is 15 minutes away and is home to a renowned mountain bike park, and excellent restaurants such as the Glacier fire Pizza.
Please take the time to read any posted signs regarding rules of the ranch, speed limits, etc, and do not leave a trace. Please bring your garbage, tissues and cans with you. There is a local transfer station just 10 minutes south of us outside the village of Valemount. Please respect our home.

Quiet, majestic back to nature spot!
This is a place to get away from a busy life.
With close proximity to Winchell Lake, this land is ideal for fishing, hiking or simply enjoying the breathtaking scenery.
We have 4 campsites available for tent or RV/trailer campers. If you're bringing an RV, we have two power outlets and water available. You will be parking on a field and the site requires levelling.
Electricity and firewood are both available for purchase (see extras below). Please add this to your reservation at the time of booking.
Campfires are permitted, pets are welcome. Potable water, picnic table, and outhouse are all available.
We have cows, goats, chickens, horses and dogs and cats on the property that
generally love people. :) I have only one dog and typically allow dogs to run off leash. We do have to be careful that it doesn't turn to a dog gang as this happened once and they took down one of my goats. The goats Hon and Chewy are okay but it took months for poor Hon to heal. I also worry about the chickens and the cats so please keep and eye on your dogs!
Lots of treed areas for private camping, horseback riding hiking and walking!
Bird watching is big around here as we are on a bird migratory path.
We are just above Winchell Lake and less than 10 km from Water Valley Golf Course and Saloon.
Please recognize that you are visiting a Ranch not a campsite. We are sharing our piece of heaven with you and you are helping to support our animals and their heaven.
Chickens are "True" Free Range and hand fed every morning. Eggs are $10 a dozen to pay for their feed. :)
Every spring the rain tends to cause ruts and washes out some of the road on the way to the back forty where the meadow is. We gather rocks on the property to fill the ditches but the early part of the year the roads can be bumpy. Please ask the conditions of the road when you book if you have concerns. Thanks!

1) .”How far are we from Banff…
2 hours of a beautiful drive that includes kootenay national park.
2)..Important ❗️❗️Please do not bring firewood from other areas to our camp as our property is heavily treed forest and we do not want any transfer of raw wood bugs. We offer $10 generous bundles of wood.
3) When you book, One tent or RV and one vehicle per site. If you are looking to book for a group of friends/family area, we can help with that.. prior to booking.
Also, we reserve the right to put you in the best possible spot to fit in a proper site for what you are camping in and what your needs are. Often people book a site that’s completely wrong for them… but that’s ok… we will fix it. 😊
4) Smoking only on sand at sites and nowhere else on our property Please use a container to hold your butts.
5) Noise restrictions after 9pm…no music or loud behaviour after that. Strictly enforced. We value respect in the camp for all campers.
6) Once you book, we will reply back with important information on the phone number you booked with. Please check for our messages to you for a smooth booking and arrival.

This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community.
It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night.
The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead.
There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company.
Here is what the land offers:
-Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023
-Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table
-Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River.

The 59 acre property (50 acres on land, ~9 acres of river/water) features scenic views, privacy and is host to many outdoor activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and more.
The Point...
The main shared area "The Point", is the peninsula that the main roadway ends at (where the BBQ, kayaks and canoes are), this is a shared area for us and our guests to enjoy. The Point offers a large picnic table, a propane BBQ, comfortable seating, a large rock perfect for sunbathing, and a river view. It's an ideal spot for swimming and launching canoes, kayaks, or paddle-board river excursions, thanks to its shallow entry and rocky bottom. Adventurous visitors might choose to paddle upriver, around an island, and return through the remaining historic canal. For a more strenuous workout, consider paddling up the canal to the Grenville lighthouse and then drifting all the way back to camp with the river's current. Enjoy this historic, lazy river experience!

Collin’s Wood is a very special place indeed. The land was bought by my grandfather years ago when he moved to Canada from England and wanted to chase his log cabin dream. Our main cabin my family built from trees on the land, entirely by hand. We have photos of the trees being cut and the bark being peeled off. Since then, we’ve made many changes out there, we now have a guest cabin that used to be a Teacheridge (back when teachers would live in a one room building beside the school), eventually it was turned into a cafe and now it sits on our land as a guest cabin. This place is so magical. With a quarter section of land I grew up running through the forest with my friends and learning about what the land has to offer. My parents have spent every spare weekend out there making this paradise into what it is today. All the buildings were created by my family through labour and love. Situated in Caithness, New Brunswick, where the Magaguadavic River meets the Passamaquoddy Bay on the Bay of Fundy.
Once owned by high profile Saint Andrews-By-The-Sea resident, Robert Pagan, the property, like other properties in the area, was granted to American Loyalist Soldiers of Scottish Highlanders, and named for Caithness, Scotland, the place where Golf began.
When the US Revolutionary War ended, the King of Holland was chosen to define the boundary between the United States and Canada. He chose the “St Croix River”. The problem was, nobody knew where the St Croix River was. That name had been used by the French, but had not been used in a very long time.
Canadians believed the Schoduc River was the St Croix. American’s believe the Wolastoq River (now called the St John River) was the St Croix River.
The local North American Indigenous people (the MicMacs or Mi'kmaqs) told Robert Pagan of a place called “Bone Island” where their history told of Europeans living and dying there. Pagan did an archaeological dig on “Bone Island” and found the remains of the French colonists and their settlement. This proved “Bone Island”, also known as “Dochet Island” or “Saint Croix Island", was the site of Pierre Dugua, Sieur de Monts' ill-fated 1604 settlement.
Based on this, the Boundary Commission agreed that the Schoduc River was the Saint Croix River and therefore, the international boundary between Canada and America.
The survivors of the 1604/1605 fall/winter moved from St Croix Island to Port-Royal in Nova Scotia (two years before the European arrival in Jamestown, Virginia, the earliest continuously occupied European settlement in the USA).
Without the work of Robert Pagan, this campsite and half of New Brunswick, including the Capital City of Fredericton and half of the City of Saint John would have been part of Province of Massachusetts Bay (later Maine).
In the 1800's this property was part of a 1000 acre lot of land owned by two McKenzie brothers, Sea Captains. Since the late 1960s, the property was the summer home of Ben and Marg Leland, parents to 14 children and 50 grandchildren.
Today, there are four (4) separate fields available for campers - Barnes' Point, Charlies Garden, the Villa Point and the Main Beach.
The property has 2 miles of shoreline and several beaches to enjoy. The property even has a private island, Blueberry Island.

Natural long grass fields for camping, some mowed mid-season. There are several shale beaches on the tidal salt water. There is also access to the Fresh Water of the Magaguadavic River.
Kayakers looking for more of a challenge may choose to paddle the Salt Waters of the Passamaquoddy Bay past Midjik Bluff. Those looking for calmer and warmer waters, may want to choose to go from the campsite, up the Magaguadavic River to the beautiful Saint George Basin and the Saint George Gorge, passing the Three Sisters and the newest Bald Eagles Nest (at the most eastern end of the Campsite).
Pass by Silver Island arriving at the Saint George Basin. Disembark at the Basin Boat Ramp and take a short walk up Portage Street to Main Street. Enjoy an ice cream at Pete’s Dairy Bar. Also a short walk to the Saint George Mall, the Historic Granite Post Officer, the Saint George Dam, Fish Ladder, the Old Pulp Mill, the Country Market, and more.

I had a lovely stay at Susan and Tony's place. Even though I stayed only 1 night, I felt so welcomed, and inspired by what they have created. The land is surrounded by forest and is very quiet and peaceful. If you are interested in ways of living that are more sustainable and in harmony with nature, they have experiences and knowledge to share. The Earthship tour was great. Hope to stay there again soon. I highly recommend.

What an amazing — and ambitious — place to stay. The tour of the Earthship was definitely worth it. I love learning about alternative home building.
Just before you enter the site’s property is a beautifully maintained, accessible trail that meanders through an older second growth forest of cedar, fir, Sitka spruce with ginormous skunk cabbage. No litter on the trail. Very little invasive plants.
Tony and Susan are wonderful hosts. I highly recommend this HipCamp!!

Camp host was very friendly and accommodating! The facilities onsite are exceptional, can’t beat a full sized gym with soft water showers…the area is very peaceful with cows grazing nearby, and the faint sound of crickets. This is a beautiful place to have a campfire, and to relax in nature away from the city. As stated there is not much shade (yet) as the little trees are growing, but if you have solar or an off grid rig this a perfect place to stay. Only 8-10 mins from grocery/beer/dinner etc, also easy access off the main highway coming from the north or south. This is a nice hidden gem!

One of our favourite camping spots on our Rockies road trip. The scenery was spectacular and waking up to the cows outside the RV in the morning was really neat. Gavin was a fab host . The shower was down by the house and needed Gavin to show us how to operate . Once going it was super hot .

We had such a wonderful stay at Back Forty Vineyards! It was really nice to meet Daryl, and he was super easy to communicate with the whole time.
The campsite is just so peaceful and quiet—exactly what we needed for a weekend reset. Setting up on the hill gave us the most amazing views looking right out over the vineyard. Waking up to that scenery and watching the sunset in the evenings was definitely the highlight of our trip.
A special shoutout has to go to Bernie, the resident dog! He is the sweetest, friendliest pup and his little visits made our stay even better.
If you're looking for a relaxing, beautiful spot to unplug and unwind, we really can't recommend this place enough. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Lina's property is absolutely beautiful and massive. We loved our campsite right by the water, surrounded by gorgeous trees—it was the perfect place to disconnect and unwind. The site is highly organized, featuring a great fire pit and a clean, convenient outhouse. Getting there was a breeze thanks to the super clear directions. My husband and I camped at Paul’s twice so far this year and we loved it. The views are beautiful! Paul is very knowledgeable about the area and he is super welcoming. If you’re looking for quiet and privacy, this is the place for you.

The sniff spots are also a great addition for dogs to explore and play. There are chickens and ducks nearby for kids.

Weekend Trip to Collinswood Retreat
May long weekend is always a big unknown with weather. That's why my friends and I always book a cabin of some kind for that weekend. We had chilly winds, but I was nice and snug in The Happy Hut. another friend stayed in the renovated bus, and one brought her camper. The accommodations were great. The compostable toilet for my use was the best dry toilet ever! it brought a new meaning to the throne Room. It was amazing! hahaha. There were so many eccentric and quirky features on the property. It was great! Loved my view of the valley for my morning coffee. The shower in the old silo was fabulous. Pat (Geri was away) was an amazing host. Friendly, accommodating and helpful. He was often accompanied by his friendly four-legged companion Piper. It was a perfect property for a getaway from the city. Loved hearing nothing but songbirds singing and the occasional coyote off in the distance. We will be back. Want to try the treehouse and The Rosebud Cafe. Highly recommend Collinswood Retreat.
