Collin’s Wood is a very special place indeed. The land was bought by my grandfather years ago when he moved to Canada from England and wanted to chase his log cabin dream. Our main cabin my family built from trees on the land, entirely by hand. We have photos of the trees being cut and the bark being peeled off. Since then, we’ve made many changes out there, we now have a guest cabin that used to be a Teacheridge (back when teachers would live in a one room building beside the school), eventually it was turned into a cafe and now it sits on our land as a guest cabin. This place is so magical. With a quarter section of land I grew up running through the forest with my friends and learning about what the land has to offer. My parents have spent every spare weekend out there making this paradise into what it is today. All the buildings were created by my family through labour and love. We’ve hosted weddings, and family reunions. We hope you appreciate how special this place is. Come see for yourself!

Forest Treehouse at Collinswood

Geri and Pat are so welcoming, and make you feel at home on their beautiful land. It is so beautiful and relaxing there. We loved the hammock swing at the treehouse and everything about our stay, including being invited to join the family bocce ball game.

Forest Treehouse at Collinswood

We absolutely loved our stay here. It felt magical. My husband, 2 year old, and I all felt that excitement of a childhood treehouse but with the comfort you’d expect from a loft or lodge. The bed was so comfortable, the space was roomy, and the atmosphere was cozy. The hosts were extremely kind, accommodating, and flexible. The outdoor tub was its own kind of bliss and the views walking through the forest were breathtaking. My only sadness is that I live in San Diego CA, USA, and can’t visit more often. I cannot recommend this enough and I hope I’m fortunate enough to stay again in the future!

Back Country Forest Glen Yurt

Amazing, serene, beautiful!!

Perfect getaway from the city, the yurt and kitchen area is well stocked, perfectly set out and it provided my partner and I a perfect escape and be able to reconnect when our lives in the city are so busy. Make sure to ask for a map of the hiking paths, they are great to check out and the lovers lane has a cute little seating area. It was great that we didn’t have to keep our dog leashed and we really appreciated the privacy since it is a bit more remote than the other camping sites. We will definitely be back!! :)
