Forest Treehouse at Collinswood
May long weekend
We loved the treehouse! It was rustic but very cozy and it came with everything we could have needed. Lights, bedding, games, books, extra blankets, towels, bbq, dishes but most importantly, privacy. The bathub experience was unique and sooo amazing! We explored the woods on the property, even saw a moose.
The hosts were friendly, super welcoming and we will plan to return in the future.

This was one of the most rewarding vacations we have had in a long time. The hosts are welcoming and hospitable, and the views alone are worth it. Also, we highly recommend the massage and the yoga class!

Treehouse Surprise!
This trip was incredible! We actually stayed the night before on one of the RV sites at the same property, and then I surprised my girlfriend with the Treehouse the next night. Our hosts were so helpful with the surprise, even telling us to have a good rest of the weekend when we left the first day, despite the fact that they knew we were coming back that night! They really sold the secret to my girlfriend, who was so surprised when we returned to upgrade from our van into the treehouse she had only seen as a visitor the day before! We loved the Sauna and the Outdoor shower after our outdoor dinner, and then woke up to horses at our doorstep waiting to say goodmorning. We will be back!

Woodbend Campsite
Fantastic weekend!
My girlfriend and I stayed here and cannot express our gratitude enough for the friendliness of our hosts! They are more than willing to give you your privacy, but are also willing to interact with you and chat as much as you’d like, so we didn’t once feel like we were invading their own privacy! The amenities are extensive, with Sauna, Outdoor shower, Yoga, and much more making the trip so much more special than a standard boring campground. The area is fantastic, and we wouldn’t have wanted to spend our weekend any other way.

Forest Treehouse at Collinswood
Our experience was absolutely amazing. The treehouse is very comfortable and rustic, nestled just inside the forested area of the property. From the morning visits from roaming horses, to the evening sauna experience with stunning views of the treed Valley, this is one for the books to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway.

My boyfriend and I celebrated my birthday in "La casa del cielo" (tree house). Cozy, pretty and tiny house. I also enjoyed the sauna wood and the magic lanscapes in the property. I highly recommend this place if you want to scape from the city for a while. Thanks Tessa for the wonderful time!.

Woodbend Campsite
The Woodbend site we had was fantastic. The view of the sunset and sunrise is absolutely beautiful. It's quite private and has lots of room. The shower and throne is across the way. The hosts were amazing and accommodating. We will be back for the meditation deck!

The Happy Hut
The Happy Hut truly makes you happy
10 STARS!!!
Where to even start? Communication before the trip was great.
The Happy Hut and all the other amenities were very clean and with thoughtful accessories (kettle, hot chocolate, plate/mug etc). When I told them I forgot my coffee, they promptly found me some. The bed was comfortable with a beautiful view out the window. Lots of pillows, blankets, and a bit of storage space. Simple and beautiful decorations make you feel right at home and very much taken care of, while still having a rustic camping experience. An outdoor hot shower and the coolest, coziest outhouse ever were very close, too. I had my own cooking area, bench and hammock. It was so peaceful and calm, and I slept better than in many months.
The property is so beautiful right on a bluff overlooking a meadow and the forest. Almost everything faces that stunning view, be it the hammock, swing, cooking areas, sauna, private outdoor bathtub area. There is a yoga platform closeby and beautiful trails to explore. Wild horses to befriend, plus Piper the dog and Harmony the cat. I even heard sandhill cranes.
I treated myself to a massage and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. She managed to release my hip and it felt amazing, as well as the rest of my body. What a treat!
Geri and her friend also invited me to spend time around the fire pit with them, so relaxing and great to meet new amazing people.
My two nights flew by way too fast, I really wished I could have stayed longer! I will for sure be back!

The best part of a camping experience is the people, and they deliver. Pat and Geri are extremely hospitable. The place is private so a plus. Sites are dispersed. There is a great site by the cliff over looking the sunset, which I hopefully would be able to get next time, but our site is great too. Lots of things to do as well.

I slept in a treehouse!
The treehouse was a great experience for me and my son. We enjoyed hanging out around the fire and playing basketball and badminton - thanks for these amenities. We also enjoyed the humorous site itself - Kings throne to the bathtub swing. I would come again.

Treehouse Camping
The treehouse was a perfect rest day of a week long road trip! The hosts/hostesses were so helpful and welcoming, as were their herd of horses who were nothing but friendly! There were quite a few mosquitos, but that's to be expected when you are surrounded by a forest in Alberta, sitting on a valley!
We loved every minute of staying at the Collinswood Retreat and definitely recommend it!

Awesome alternative to tent camping
The treehouse was very cute and cozy and the hosts were really nice and accommodating. We unfortunately only stayed overnight but we wish we could have stayed longer to explore the place. It’s the perfect alternative to tent camping if you want to be comfortable but still right in nature. Make sure you bring bug spray and take advantage of the mosquito net they provide on the bed!
The place was a little weird to get to. There were quite a few dirt roads and the entrance to the property is a gate that’s a bit far from the camp so it was easy to miss. We definitely recommend getting there before sundown so you can see where you’re going!

The site we had was quiet and had a spectacular view. We were greeted and supplied with lots of firewood. Our short hike led us to even more amazing views. We hope to return to this beautiful place soon.

Awesome group camp area
Had an awesome weekend camping with friends at Collingswood Retreat! Their group camp area was perfect for us and our dog. Altogether we fit 3 tents, a small fiberglass trailer, a 12 foot event shelter and 4 cars in the group camp area — with plenty of room left over for a communal fire. Gerry, Tessa, and Pat were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Highly recommended!

Such a great spot! A beautiful property that has been thoughtfully added to to get the most out of your stay. The sauna and outdoor shower were amazing! Well marked trails throughout, stocked fire pit and outdoor kitchen were really nice touches. And very welcoming hosts!
The tree house was the perfect spot to relax and made for a great getaway.

Not private but a beautiful view
Overall we had a great experience, however we were closer to other people than we would have liked. There also was no instruction about the gate and I don’t like opening gates without consent especially if I do not know what’s on the other side of them. It would have been nice to have it more enclosed and private. The “throne” room was amazing!!!

Must Stay Here!
This was one of the best experiences! You must stay here, whether it’s in the treehouse, camping or in one of the other little cabins they will soon have available. Definitely do the woodfired sauna, absolutely do the meditation massage. This was the best massage of my life with an incredible view. Definitely sit around the campfire with the family and do yoga out on the cliff’s edge on the yoga platform in the morning. Go for a walk to see the wild horses! I cannot say enough good things about Tessa and her family! Thank you. thank you for such an amazing time, I could have easily stayed here a week! I made it a stop over on my way into BANFF. Yes it was a little bit out of the way, but absolutely 100% worth it!
