Collin’s Wood is a very special place indeed. The land was bought by my grandfather years ago when he moved to Canada from England and wanted to chase his log cabin dream. Our main cabin my family built from trees on the land, entirely by hand. We have photos of the trees being cut and the bark being peeled off. Since then, we’ve made many changes out there, we now have a guest cabin that used to be a Teacheridge (back when teachers would live in a one room building beside the school), eventually it was turned into a cafe and now it sits on our land as a guest cabin. This place is so magical. With a quarter section of land I grew up running through the forest with my friends and learning about what the land has to offer. My parents have spent every spare weekend out there making this paradise into what it is today. All the buildings were created by my family through labour and love. Our stay at this cabin was absolutely wonderful! 😍The place felt so cozy and welcoming — everything was spotless and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell how much love and care went into every little detail.🥹😍 The nature around is stunning, and we truly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The host was incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. We were especially touched by the little treats — the marshmallows and cookies were such a sweet surprise (and so delicious!). Thank you also for the oatmeal — it made our morning breakfast perfect.🫣 My husband and I had the most relaxing and happy time here. We’ll definitely come back again!😊

We had an amazing stay at this campsite! The area is very private and surrounded by beautiful fall colors, it honestly feels like your own little getaway in nature. The place was clean, quiet, and relaxing, perfect for a peaceful weekend escape. The owners are wonderful people! They are responsive, and easy to communicate with. They made sure everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out, and we really appreciated how organized and welcoming they were. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a cozy, private, and scenic spot to unwind!

Weekend Trip to Secluded Cliffside Paradise

Beautiful property with beautiful views! It’s hard to believe you’re only a few minutes from the city. The sunsets by the fire are incredible! I would recommend, because the property is south facing, that you may want to plan your spot based on how much sun you want. Lots of cows, deer, pocket gophers, and ground squirrels to spot while you relax in the peace and quiet.

Weekend Trip to Collinswood Retreat

This is, I believe, my fourth stay! It's a magical place that I look forward to visit every year. The Happy Hut and Treehouse are so cozy, every little detail is thought of and you are looked after so well! The trails are amazing for long walks, the views spectacular, loved meeting the horses again this year. And Geri's massages are a must! See you again in 2026!
