Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Tucked into a quiet stretch of river valley near Carseland, Alberta, this is a place to slow down and settle into the natural landscape. Our private campsites sit across open meadow and native grasses, with wide views, soft light, and the gentle rhythm of the nearby river. It feels removed: not far from the city (40 min from Calgary), but far enough that the noise fades and the pace naturally slows. Guests come here for simple, grounded experiences — morning coffee in stillness, forest walks + nature bathing, fly fishing in the world-class Bow River, afternoons in the sun, and evenings by the fire and star-gazing. This is not a crowded campground. Sites are limited and private and the focus is on quiet, space, and connection to the land. What to expect: - Bare land campsites with plenty of space to set up - Private fire pits at each site - Power plug-ins available - Open meadow and river valley views - Peaceful, low-density setting (no packed rows of campers) - Natural surroundings with local wildlife and birds - Off-grid feel with simple, intentional amenities (outdoor restrooms) We are keeping the experience simple and grounded for now, more unplugged than fully serviced. Come prepared to be comfortable and self-sufficient, and to enjoy the slower pace that comes with it. This space is best suited for couples, families, and individuals looking to rest and reconnect — not for parties or large gatherings. What a wonderful escape from the city. The view of the river was really nice. The host were more then helpful and accommodating. If youre looking for something secluded close to the city. This is your spot. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommend booking.
