Private & Secure Close to Down Town

This was a unique and overall positive Hipcamp experience. Timothy was very responsive and easy to communicate with from booking, lock difficulty, to leaving.
We fit our 30-foot travel trailer on the site, but backing in on a Friday afternoon took some patience with traffic waiting behind us. Once settled, we felt very safe thanks to the fenced, private property. The location is also a quick and inexpensive Uber ride to downtown Calgary, which was a huge plus.
Be prepared for mosquitoes; they were everywhere and aggressive during our stay. Also, the neighboring business is an ice cream truck repair shop, so hearing the familiar ice cream truck song at 9–10 p.m. was definitely unexpected! If you're looking for a secure, private place with easy access to the city, this is a solid option.

Very quiet in the evening and very private. You are in the midst of an industrial area. There is frequent aircraft noise as you are on the south approach to Calgary international but flights reduce later in the evening. There is power and water on site sufficient for a reasonable size RV. We enjoyed our 1 day stay as it’s pretty central to hip Inglewood and Calgary downtown.

We had a great little overnight at The Bunker. Easy to find, easy to access, secure, and communication was perfect. It was great to have a fenced place so the pooch could be off-leash. We didn’t use the water or power, but having it available is awesome. We also enjoyed hanging out on the deck with our wine and cheese! Wish we’d arrived early enough for a campfire. There’s a noticeable constant background noise from the mill/local industries, but it’s more of a white noise than anything that would keep you up at night. Would recommend!

Great close-in location. Secure. No nearby residents, just businesses. Cozy outdoor area outside camper. Host is flexible, easy to access. Transit lines and bike trail nearby. Will stay again.

Amazingly quiet, but for low level industrial white noise. Excellent access to bike Bow River Trail, all while leaving your vehicle locked
behind camp gate. Felt safe enough for repeat stays. No hassles. Water and 30 amp a real plus!

This was a great urban spot. Fenced with a locked gate. Light urban noise, no highway or train horns. Nice spot for outside seating and fire pit and 30A power was a real plus. Will return again.

Saying you're staying in a "light industrial area" is both true and not. This is a little oasis and so very comfortable. We actually wanted to stay longer but it was already booked after us. Nice fire pit, a few bunny rabbits hopping around, and no problems at all. It feels secluded, the neighbors are quiet (ok, except maybe for the concrete plant across the way, but honestly it felt like white noise).
I was thinking around the 3rd day that this would make for a great permanent living space. So yup, it's worth it.
Oh yea, it's right in the middle of freaking Calgary. LOL!

Easy to find, exactly what we were looking for-a safe place to park. There's a fire pit and a place to sit outside but there was a thunderstorm that night we were there.

It was a nice place secure but my 45’ toy hauler would not make it, Tim is a great guy he refunded my money. If you have a motorhome or smaller trailer a good place

Great out of the way place. Close to the stampede venue and downtown. You can access the river bikeway without having to use a major roadway.
It may appear sketchy at first blush, but we felt very comfortable with the accommodations.
Tim, the host was great!

This site is exactly as described. It is in the middle of an industrial area in a locked compound but if you plan to be out and about it is ideal. It is on a good bus route, 1 minute walk to the bus stop. We also used bikes and it is a block away from the beautiful Bow River Trail, 30 mins cycle to downtown Calgary. Timothy was very efficient providing lots of information.

nice RV site in not to noisy industrial area. 30 amp power supply and water connection.
big advantage of that site: only 4 km to the Stampede Ground, approximately 10 min to Costco, Walmart and Ikea, about 30 min to Calaway Park.

The site was overall really good, all the hookups were super easy to find and accessible. The site was also super close to just about any amenities you'd want and you don't have to worry about other campers. My only gripe was it was a little more challenging to back into the site due to traffic and a poorly placed street sign on one of the gates being a little bit to swingy. 9/10 would definitely stay again
