We have 10 campsites for tent or RV campers. If you're bringing an RV, we can accommodate vehicles fairly long in length and the sites are pretty flat. Generators are allowed.
The property is very close to the Westcountry to access quadding, fishing, hiking, swimming and much more.
We are about 10 minutes north of Rocky Mtn House, Alberta Canada.
Pets must be tethered and cleaned up after at all times.
We offer water if needed. 110 power optional and by donation. Quality outhouse and picnic area available, but no septic.
Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban.

Camp amongst the trembling aspen trees on our 5 acre property, just a few minutes east of Hinton, Alberta. Hiking and mountain biking opportunities abound! Nearby Jasper National Park makes an excellent day trip. For history buffs, our property is located between two former transportation corridors: the original Trans Canada highway and the Canadian Northern Railway. Explorer David Thompson led his expedition through this area in the 19th century. Coal mining history surrounds our town and county- many days can be spend exploring the ghosts of the Alberta Coal Branch! This site includes a fire ring, picnic table and a 15A electric hookup. Enjoy our two rescued historic Alberta transit coaches! Red Deer Transit 7115 and Edmonton Transit 429 arrived in 2023 and 2024, their resurrection is ongoing. Both attend car club events regularly.

Prairie Creek flows directly along the ranch. Depending on water levels, guests can swim, relax by the shore, or fish with a valid Alberta fishing permit. Canoeing is also possible under suitable conditions. Hiking trails begin right on the property and lead through wooded areas and open clearings.
Wildlife is naturally part of the surroundings. With a bit of luck, you may spot deer, elk, coyotes, beavers, wild geese, and occasionally even a puma in the distance. The ranch is not a resort but a genuine piece of nature—authentic and untouched.
Our sled dogs live here at Rocky Wolf Ranch. Guided sled dog experiences can be booked in both summer and winter. Guests learn about the history, breeding, training, and daily life of these remarkable dogs. In winter, dog sledding programs are offered depending on snow conditions. In summer, kennel visits, informative experiences, or hikes with the dogs are available.
In addition, we offer archery and simple outdoor activities for families. Children especially enjoy small discovery adventures through the forest, searching for animal tracks, or having a picnic in an idyllic clearing.
If you are looking for luxury and urban comfort, this is not the place for you. If you appreciate nature, animals, fresh air, and an authentic ranch atmosphere, you will feel at home here.

We had an amazing stay at this campsite! The area is very private and surrounded by beautiful fall colors, it honestly feels like your own little getaway in nature. The place was clean, quiet, and relaxing, perfect for a peaceful weekend escape.
The owners are wonderful people! They are responsive, and easy to communicate with. They made sure everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out, and we really appreciated how organized and welcoming they were.
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a cozy, private, and scenic spot to unwind!

The sites and amenities were exactly as shown and explained on the website. We enjoyed the solitude and quietness of the site not always found in the common campground arrangement. There are some hiking trails nearby at the Crimson Lake provincial park that we enjoyed as well as taking time to read, relax and shell peanuts, once we got back to our site. Our recent stay at this campsite was truly fantastic — the warm hospitality, beautiful grounds, and attention to cleanliness made it special from start to finish. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and we especially loved meeting their pets, who added an extra touch of comfort and fun to our visit. Being surrounded by nature’s calls—rustling trees, squirrels, and birds—made us feel completely at one with the outdoors. Adrian met us as we pulled in and told us we were at the right spot. He showed us where we could park and told us the grassy area was ours to use. He offered us whatever we needed to make our stay pleasant. Later in the evening he and his son had to move the ducks and goose to the barn. They checked with us to make sure we were ok with that. Afterwards we had a great visit with both of them. The place was very relaxing. Definitely a great host and a great place to stay.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay on Adrian’s land. Adrian and his family made us feel very welcome. We loved seeing them round up the ducks and geese each evening, and even got to hold some recently hatched baby ducks. We purchased fresh chicken eggs which were delicious and dry firewood that allowed us to have a wonderful fire one evening. Great communication from host, easy parking with private space and conveniently located close to Jasper National Park. Highly recommend!
