Site 1 - Lone Pine.
Perfect , private site .
What a beautiful property.
We had the first site , and although there were campers in the other sites , you couldn’t see or hear them unless they were chopping wood or the occasional loud laugh.
Lots of old farm equipment/cars to take cool pictures of .
You can even see the Aurora Borealis , (though we weren’t so lucky)
We found a private little beach, and didn’t need to worry about parking in town.
The parking is a slight walk from the campsites , but nothing unreasonable and shorter than I expected .
Gordon is a great host as well. Gave us recommendations of what to check out in town.
Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back next year .

Site 3 - Hideaway.
Wonderful
The sites are quiet and peaceful, only a few minutes from the tourist crowds at Sylvan Lake. Down at the end of the road there is a sand beach. We paid for the firewood, which was dry and convenient. Gordon and his sons greeted us, showed us where to park, and helped us pack our stuff into the site. Gordon came by later to make sure we were set up. It was a wonderful experience and exactly what we were looking for.

Spacious private sites
This was a great spot for a few nights camping. When we arrived our bundles of wood were there waiting under a tarp to keep them nice and dry. The sites are spacious and very private. A great fire pit with a grill we were able to cook over. The only downside was the outhouse was not well maintained. It was very full, sanitizer was empty and full of spider webs that hadn’t been cleaned out. That would deter me from going again. Gordon was a great host though. He gave very clear instructions on how to get there and was available to reach. We did find the little hiking trails were not clear and couldn’t find our way to the lookouts was too bad. Overall great experience.

Site 2 - Tall Tree.
Site 2 was great!
The site was awesome, more than enough space for camping. The trail nearby was great, short enough walk to the water to go fishing and such. Also not bad fishing from the shoreline for walleye and whitefish. Would definitely stay here again.

Hipcamp site 2 tall trees
We enjoyed our stay, it's tucked just far enough off the beaten path to be private. The local wildlife stopped by to check us out, bright and early the first morning we were there. We'll definitely return!
