My friends and I were looking for a place near Edmonton to relax and rest away from the noise of the city. Carmen's place was perfect for what were looking for! The place was super cute and clean, we also had everything we needed for a little glamping night. They also have a variety of board games you could play and even had some walking trails you could go to. There were also so many birds and chipmunks, and so many stars at night, it honestly felt like we were hours away from the city! We would recommend this place to anyone, and would love to come back one day!

Me and my three boys(boyfriend and two pups) had absolutely amazing Canada Day weekend. This place gives a true glamping experience. You get a firepit and mini out side kitchen with BBQ grill(Propane provided). Also, it has a super nice trail that you can explore as well. The host was super kind and easy to communicate with. If you are planning to have a quick little getaway from the city, this is the place you want to be in for the weekend.

Peaceful Getaway

We visited Ravens Valley and stayed in the Chickadee Cabin. The cabin was so cute and well stocked. The site was very nice, full of beautiful flowers, birds chirping, squirrels chattering, walking trails and a pond that is bounding with activity. Booking was easy and Carmen was the perfect hostess! She met us at the site and showed us everything we needed to know and even turned the fire table on for us as it was starting to rain. We needed a peaceful retreat and were not disappointed!

Overall a good experience but it was stated they had wifi on their page and when we got there they did not have any which caused some problems with people that needed it. Otherwise lawn games were fun, plenty of beds.

My three year old and I absolutely loved the set up here and it was perfect for everything we wanted to do! Carmen is a great hostess checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and providing suggestions for things to do in the area. The accommodations are great for two and were more than ideal for introducing my son to camping. The bed was really comfy and the cabin was really cozy and cute. We will definitely be coming back again! The trails were a lot of fun for him to explore and the games shack offered more than enough to keep us entertained for our entire stay.

Where do I start? First of all , Carm is very hospitable! She cares about her guest experience. I had trouble with the mini fridge not cooling properly late at night, and she went and bought another one immediately. The cabin was clean and lots of things to do (bbq, firepit, propane table, games, cozy bench swing, outdoor shower and more!) It was me and my 3 daughters and a perfect place to spend time together away from the city in the trees. Will definitely return!

Great girls getaway!

I had a lovely stay at the Foxy Den with my young daughter who just turned 4 a few days before our trip. The cabin was cozy and the open air concept made for a really great and deep sleep. Carmen even provided us with some paint and paintbrushes so we could do some rock painting. My daughter also really enjoyed putting peanuts in the various houses and mini picnic tables to feed the squirrels.

Sweet spot close to the city

I was looking gor a mini escape for the August long weekend that was close to the City. Me, my husband and my sister stayed at the Chickadee Chalet with our 2 dogs. We had an amazing weekend here. It was certainly a nice and relaxing getaway. The cabin was adorable and our dogs loved being able to run freely. Carmen was an absolute gem! She was so accommodating and made sure that we were comfortable and even did an extra toilet paper drop off for us - lol. Too much hydration made us run quite low haha. It was super appreciated. Carmen is such a nice host and is super sweet, she even bought some treats for our 2 doggos to enjoy. I can't wait to come back again! Will be recommending to our friends and family. Thanks for a great long weekend Carmen! Wishing you so much success!

Peaceful getaway

Great weekend getaway! I was looking for something close to home that was peaceful and quiet. Carmen delivered by providing a cozy space with everything we needed to relax and spend some family time together. Our dog LOVED running around and swimming in the pond. Carmen was a lovely host. I enjoyed my time I spent here. It shows how much Carmen truly cares about this place and her visitors. I hope this place takes off for her and is booked solid as she deserves it. Truly caring. Though we cut our trip a day early as my husband wasn’t too happy with all the mosquitos and coyotes howling right outside. Got a bit of rain. I would go back again and hope too. I have recommended this place to ppl at the dog park I see at Lauderdale. Such a short drive to enjoy serenity of nature from the city. My two eastern German shepherd husky mixes loved it out there as well. It’s hard to come by places that allow big dogs so I I hope it stays that way.

You gotta stay here!!!

My girlfriend and I had a girls weekend with our pups, and we stayed at the Chickadee Chalet for 3 days and it was the absolute best time I’ve ever had camping in a cabin!! The retreat was absolutely stunning, with so many amenities provided for us, including a fireplate with a gazebo for when it rained (even tho the weather was absolutely gorgeous) with a bbq, inside the cabin was beds (provided sleeping essentials so we didn’t have to bring any bedding) a fireplace for night if it got cool, a microwave, mini fridge , it was absolutely perfect, all we had to bring was food and pack a light bag! Our pups had soooo much fun running around the big lawn/field (so much room to play lawn games like we did - which they also provide if you have little ones) some mini walks, the outdoor shower was perfect to cool off, the sound of the nature around us (only downside was the traffic you could hear from the highway but that wasn’t nothing major) Carmen the Owner was absolutely the sweetest, she showed us around and where everything was, she made us feel welcomed and was available if we needed anything, she was so incredible especially with our pups!! Overall we had the absolute best time, our experience was magical, we will definitely be coming back and staying at the retreat again during the Summer months - and with it being so close to us, it’s a home away from home! Thank you so very much Carmen for giving us the best experience, can’t wait to do it again!! xx

Raven's Valley Glam Canvas Tents

This retreat is a dream come true. I was alone surrounded by nature. I highly recommend people to stay here. The host Carmen is so sweet and definetly goes above and beyond for her guest. The cabin was so cozy and when you sit at the table and look outside it's nature all around. There are trails to walk through and enjoy nature. I booked for another week there. And will continue to book here and it has now become my favorite home away from home.

Great Weekend Escape from Edmonton

Had a girl's trip here over the weekend and Carmen was such a lovely host with excellent communication! It was easy to get to and very close to Edmonton, so it's an ideal spot for friends and families to take weekend trips. The tents are well maintained and cozy. We really liked all of the items provided for preparing our food too! But the best part was the lawn games. :) We took two pups with us who also had a blast. There are some nice short walking trails that are great for enjoying nature while not wandering too far. Would definitely come back!

A chance to be alone

Privacy was the best quality. Having the chance to be alone with my family was the best thing ever. A great way to really escape. There was also power, you can easily charge your phone or anything else. Easy cooking with a bbq or fire pit. Also a convenient store is just a short drive away.
