Welcome to your own private holler—where magic hangs from the trees and time slows to a whisper. Robin’s Nest is a real treehouse—built atop 7 oaks with no tape measure, no level, and no blueprints—just imagination, old wood, and 150-year-old treasures tucked into every corner. It’s not a house on sticks next to trees. It’s in the trees. And when you’re here, you’re not on our time. You’re on treehouse time. This isn’t polished, modern luxury. It’s barefoot luxury. A dreamy, playful escape with simple comforts: a swinging queen daybed, open-air master bath in the tree with you, fire pit, cowboy hot tub, and a rope cargo net for lounging in the forest. There are trails to wander, frogs to sing you to sleep, and stars above. Push open the double doors. Slide the futon against the handrail under the roof cover. Turn off the lights and leave only the fairy lights glowing. Across the pond, a spotlight shines on a little feeder, and if you’ve been quiet, you’ll see deer, raccoons, and other critters play in the dark—like a living storybook, better than TV. Leave the doors open. Let the cool AC wash over you. This moment is yours. The entire holler is yours. No neighbors. No campers. No shared anything. Just you and the wild around you. This land is a working wildlife sanctuary, cared for with 50 years of hands-on learning. Please don’t bring poisons—they hurt the good critters too. The yellow-and-black mud daubers? Harmless to humans, deadly to harmful spiders. The big harmless, banana spiders keep flies and mosquitos away. It's nature in balance. If the pond’s low, bring a float or take our kayaks ten minutes away to a secret bend in the San Marcos River. We’ll share the pin. Your close to town but, fully immersed in nature, so it's not ideal for small kids to wander alone. Ladders, beds, and trails aren’t built to code. Adults should be fit and wear sturdy shoes if going far from camp. One night is fun. But your happy place deserves more than that. This is your holler now. With Cold AC, Heated floor and mattress cover, electric fireplace and Epic steamy private bath up in the trees. Glamping at it's best. Romance for couples, Adventure for families. Robin's Nest is a REAL treehouse. Situated in seven oaks, by the waters of the holler at Circle R Ranch and wildlife reserve. Lots of shade and fresh air. Relax in the hanging queen day bed. Or push the tree house bed out onto the balcony and sleep under the stars. Enjoy the cowboy tub, canoe, kayaks. pond swimming, hammocks. Close to world famous Lockhart BBQ and San Marcos River tubing. But we think you'll not want to leave the peace of the Holler☺️

Awesome little getaway!
With kids
Me and my family loved this treehouse! It was tons of fun for the kids - there are games, puzzles, kayaks, a canoe, a cargo net, arts & crafts and a nice little "hike" on the property. The water was low but the host sent us another spot we could checkout closeby if we wanted more water- turns out there was plenty still to entertain the kids. There are pantry staples and basic seasonings, a small electric cook top thing, a few pans/pot, mini fridge, kettle, coffeemaker and a toaster oven. If you find you need something you are nearby a store (but don't worry, this is a nice isolated place. I never felt like there was anyone nearby! I did hear some loud music a couple of times at night, maybe from a neighbor? but it subsided around midnight and wasn't *too* loud.) There are 3 cute ducks that hang around and a bunch of cardinals and other small songbirds that pop up- one even greeted me in the shower, haha. The weather was perfect - especially for sleeping outside in the hanging bed. The host is super nice and will answer quickly! If you are thinking of booking, for a romantic getaway or a little fun with the kids (or both) - you can find it here.

With pets
This was a real treehouse with just enough upgrades to make it comfortable. We had a wonderful break away from the city here. It was so nice to just relax with the kids and have a break from TV and phones. Highly recommend!!!

Magic Treehouse
This treehouse is a wondrous place to take a retreat from your day-to-day. Me and my partner came for a little one on one time. The cowboy bathtub was the highlight for me (a person who chooses vacation destinations based on tub quality). Each “porch” of the tree house was cozy and whimsical. The inside is full of games, art supplies, and plenty of natural light. Waking up and opening the doors to let the fresh air and sunshine in was rejuvenating and peaceful. The energy of this entire property was absolutely inviting, refreshing, and very special. The only gripe I have is that we couldn’t stay long enough to get to our list of desired activities during our stay. (pond swimming, hammock chilling, yoga, swinging daybed reading, etc). Shellie let us know about a spectacular brunch spot near by. She was communicative and helpful our entire stay. We will absolutely be visiting again!
