Come camp on a 40-acre parcel backing onto crown land mountains and wake up in front of 10 acres of vineyard and a view of Okanagan Lake!
There is a small cabin and two camp sites to choose from.
Site 1 is best suited for tents and small campervans, less than 18' or so (though people with small trailers like tear drop campers have been fine).
Site 2 has a much larger flat area that can hold RVs up to 30'.
Cabin available for those that want to sleep in a cozy bed and have a warm fire :)
Outhouse on the property, which is just a pit toilet. It is a working farm so will likely have various equipment around at times as well as workers at certain times of the year. You’ll likely meet our very friendly and very energetic Bernedoodle, Bernie. If you prefer to keep him out of your campsite just let us know and we can keep him closer. Otherwise, he thinks he has the run of the place! Please check to see if campfires are allowed (live in a high-risk fire zone) and firewood is available with an extra charge. If you need anything to better enjoy your stay, just let us know!
Our property is located in Peachland, BC. Positioned midway between Kelowna and Pentiction, it is the perfect location to draw from both population centres and is well-positioned to act as a hub for popular wine and other agri-tourism activities. Our lake belongs to the beavers and ducks more than the humans. It’s an amazing place to watch, while swimming is best done at the river, a 5min drive away or half hour walk.
A hike through the woods affords many opportunities to discover secret spots carved out of the wilderness with private views of the lake and surrounding properties.
The rare wildlife around includes bobcats, bears, cougars, deer, elk and the occasional wolf. Ermine, rabbits and grouse are also common sightings.
We have 2 dogs and appreciate a chance to introduce them to your dogs so they understand you’re authorized visitors, once you’ve settled in and your animals are comfortable. Thank you for your understanding!

The birth of Chute Lake started approximately a century ago. The combined population of Kelowna and Penticton was a mere 7,000, and the First World War was just wrapping up. A bustling new sawmill on the shore of Chute Lake had a crew of hardworking loggers thinking it was time to build themselves a place to sleep and eat.
Raw materials certainly wouldn’t be an issue, located in the middle of a forest. The crews worked all day turning trees into logs. Soon enough those logs were being hauled from the mill and up a gentle slope to the proposed location of the new bunkhouse.
A few years later, the Kettle Valley Railway would arrive, and the mill and freshly built bunkhouse would take on additional roles. It served as a water stop for the steam engines that pulled the passing trains. Enterprising mill workers would even sell some of the large fish they pulled from the lake to the dining carts.
These were the formative years Chute Lake Lodge. Cabins have been added and in the 1980s, the central lodge building nearly doubled in size. The restaurant was added with lodge rooms above. The railway that ran directly in front was converted into one of the best cycling paths in the province.

We had to leave early due to the Bald Range fire; I let them know we were leaving in case it went under evac order (which it did) so they wouldn't worry, and they offered a refund for the unused nights unprompted and even with having to evacuate the property themselves. Very comfortable, large and private/ safe place to camp, only 10 minutes away from Kal Beach. We stayed for 5 days with our family. Kristi was very hospitable and was prompt to respond when needed. There's a covered cooking area with bbq utensils, table and chairs. You can bring your own propane if you want to use the bbq and portable stove . Kristi offered filtered water for drinking and tap water for doing your dishes. Use of shower was also available upon request. Thank you Kristi for the wonderful experience!

We really enjoyed our stay. The campground was very clean, especially the washrooms. It is a beautiful, spacious place for camping, and we would definitely come back.

We stayed at Jan's for two nights and loved it!
Jan was responsive, helpful with all our questions, and all the instructions/directions were clear. My partner, dog, and I loved all the trails and swim spots around the property. The site was beautiful and the outhouse was great. We will be back!

Very easy to find and well laid out campground with amenities that one would hope for as such as a toilet and shower area and access to water on site. Loved waking up to the cows in the morning just outside the fence and the very quiet and lovely atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone for a stay near Kamloops. Rick is friendly and helpful host.
