Morro Rock

Morro Rock is possibly the most famous natural landmark in the San Luis Obispo area. The "plug" of a long extinct volcano rises almost 600 ft above Morro Bay. Morro Bay is also widely known for its kayaking and paddleboarding. It is very common for visitors to coast through the water alongside sea otters, seals, and sea lions. Walk to the base and gaze up at the majestic rock formation or stroll through town to take advantage of the many restaurants and shopping opportunities nearby.
