Our Campsite is in the small town of Little Britain and is just a few kilometres away, as are the shores of Lake Scugog. Take a free optional tour of our farm, if you wish. Pets are welcome but we ask that they remain to the confines of the site This property sits in a rural area in the Kawartha Lakes region, just north of Lake Scugog. Campfires are allowed in the firepit, and there is a pit toilet. The hosts offer fresh eggs and farm produce to purchase, as well as a firewood bundle that will be ready for you when you arrive; just select the options you are interested in at checkout.  The lakes area offers endless boating, paddling, fishing, and hiking opportunities. We had a fantastic stay in the cabin in the woods. The property was beautiful and the cabin was very cozy.

Beaver and duck pond for wildlife viewing. Small part of large wetland / ponds system.

2 nights at Waterfield Ridge

It was a great spot to pitch a tent and unwind after a few days of fishing some Haliburton lakes. Easy to get to and Jennifer was a great and helpful host. The location is very scenic with the marsh and pond nearby and beautiful tall woods surrounding the site. We didn't get to meet Jennifer (we were too busy fishing all day) but she kept in contact and provided firewood as needed. The only downside I could think of was the barbecue on site didn't seem to have any propane, which was no big deal. We brought our own and actually didn't even know there would be one provided. The outhouse was a bit rustic, but for two guys living off the land it was a luxury to have a toilet at all. Lol. Would definitely go back!

Weekend Trip to Waterfield Ridge

This site is perfect for those passing through Halliburton, or just wanting a getaway from the city and connecting with nature. I only stayed 1 night with my biker friends, so we rode to the site. Site is extremely easy to find, and we are just a short trip to the main town for groceries or restaurants. The night time is where it really brings out the beauty of this site. The trees make a perfect vignette to the night sky, and we spent HOURS stargazing. Our host Jennifer was a saint! She’s super responsive! The only rough part was riding through the gravel/dirt roads, but that is nothing to be worried about. If you’re a good rider, you’ll manage. Highly recommend!

We had a great girls' weekend at Sarah's cabin. She and Mike were wonderful and welcoming hosts. We didn't need to ask them for anything, but they were accessible if we did. The cabin was clean and cozy with many thoughtful touches. It is tucked in a pine forest and feels very secluded. It was also great having the trails to hike on. Would stay here again!

We had a truly magical stay at this private cabin nestled among tall trees — it felt like stepping into a different world as we walked through the “secret path” to get there. The location was incredibly peaceful, quiet, and serene — the perfect escape from everyday noise. The cabin itself was spotless, cozy, and super comfortable — we slept like babies! Sarah was an amazing host — very responsive and thoughtful throughout. She quickly helped us with firewood and water, and was always just a message away for any questions. It was a solid 10/10 experience and we’d absolutely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a quiet, nature-filled getaway.
