This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. By a combination of good timing and good luck, I was able to make that dream come true and in the spring of 2014 I acquired this land with the hopes of building my dream water ski lake on it. 7 years later, we have a thriving water ski club and are constantly making improvements to the site. We now have decided to add some sites for rent to share this incredible property with others outside the water ski community. Site #1 is a small cabin that sleeps 3 and site #2 is a small houseboat that has been converted to a bunkie. Onsite activities include use of a canoe and paddleboard. Use of a kid's swingset and olympic trampoline. Swimming and fishing. Pets are welcome, campfires are permitted.

Heavens Acres has been a stop over since the 1850's for people travelling by horse from Toronto to Owen Sound. We have 100 acres surrounded by another 200 acres of conservation land. There is camping in the pine forest as well at the very back of the property where you will find a hardwood bush with trails. Please note that the hipcamp map shows a large body of water on the property, as does google driving maps. It is a marsh, not a lake. Google Earth shows it better. There is however, a creek and pond, but don't bring your boat. :) This is a "LEAVE NO TRACE" campsite, so please take all garbage when you leave. There is no water or power, but there is an outhouse Please note that in the winter months. There’s a $25 surcharge. This is required for snow removal to access the sites that are at at least 1 km into the bush. We are in a snow belt area and it is very difficult to keep the sites open in the winter. Four-wheel-drive is required for access in the winter!

We share our backyard with our guests, we are very close to everything that Bruce county has to offer, port Elgin, Southampton, golf courses, different accesses to saugeen river where u can go fishing canoeing, tubing etc., supermarkets, native reserve, sauble beach and dozens of other ones…all at max 15 minutes distance… in the property you will find everything u need for a peaceful stay, hard to describe everything you will find but u can read our reviews, some of them have beautiful descriptions of what is here for you, you must love animals, since we have our pets all around, u are also super welcome to bring yours. One of the high points of here is the interaction u will have with the pets, they are all super friendly and will play with u every time they see u, they believe u r here for them, between, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits etc they will be part of your stay, this is theyr home, u r theyr guests, that’s how they think, so u must be a pet lover. 2 nights at Heavens Acres

I loved the plane crash site with the cabin. The cabin was cozy with seating and beds, even a loft. It was warm enough out that I didn't need to use the stove to keep it warm. It was pouring rain when I went so it was great to keep dry. Very secluded and private, no noise from other people or traffic! I did not have cell service however, that could be because of my provider though.

Staying at Pedro’s felt like an exclusive adult backyard “cabin out.” Pedro’s hospitality was second to none. We felt right at home from the moment of our arrival. The cabin is perfect for unplugging with the comforts of electricity, light, mini fridge, heater & A.C. The outdoor shower and toilet we’re a highlight - again well equipped and clean. Having access to the outdoor BBQ & Grill over the fire made for some yummy dinners. Ask Pedro where to get the best meat in the area. Who isn’t a fan of a hot tub under the stars and twinkle lights. A relaxing perk that was used every evening we were there. Behind the cabin offers two muskoka chairs tucked in the trees overlooking a field where you can catch a beautiful sunset. There are chickens and an array of other animals that were also cool to visit. Saugeen River Access #3 is a short drive away as well as another access point just down the road. Don’t sleep on this sweet little piece of paradise, with Port Elgin only 10 mins away there is so much to do in this beautiful area. Can’t wait to return.

Weekend Trip to Willow Pond Haven

We had an amazing long weekend here and truly enjoyed every moment. The place was very clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. Everything was neat and well thought out, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The washroom was spotless, water was provided, and the hosts even arranged electricity for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The whole atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The cabin smelled wonderfully of fresh wood, and it was so nice to fall asleep while listening to the rain. We used the grill, enjoyed the clean and well-kept property, and spent our mornings drinking coffee by the pond. Our dog had the best time running around, swimming in the small pond, and watching the frogs 🐸 she was very curious and really wanted to play with them! There were also chickens on the property, and we were happy to buy fresh eggs to take home with us. A big thanks to Lisa and Scott for their hospitality. They were very kind, welcoming, and responsive to any request we had. We truly felt welcomed and comfortable during our stay. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely come back. It was a wonderful place for a peaceful getaway and an unforgettable weekend. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Rick's plane crash site was just what we needed! All 4 kids ranged from 4 to 13 LOVED the plane. Nights were chilly outside but not as we slept thanks to Rick's wood stove inside!

Rick's Plane Crash Site was pretty neat. The Bunkie was clean, comfortable, and well laid out. Outside was a firepit, a couple picnic tables, and the cool plane of course. The plane is easily accessible through the door. My son and I watched a Jays game in there. We spent the better part of three days here, only leaving for firewood. Given this, I'd say it kept us busy, and entertained.

Weekend Trip to Pine the Sky

This was a hidden Oasis! My wife and I decided to spend our anniversary in Pine the Sky'. We were the only ones there as it was a cold late April. The tiny cabin (bunkie) was small but could easily fit two people. There were a upper bunk and a lower bunk we stored our clothes on the top. There are many planted Pune trees that gives privacy and gives a forest feel. We had a fire pit near the bunkie so you can cook. Joan was a fantastic and amiable host and we quickly became friends. Her two dogs were a joy to play with. The dogs are medium sized and playful but they are not aware how strong they are! There are restaurants nearby if you aren't cooking. We spent a beautiful tranquil weekend in nature. We are considering another stay should we want to get out of the city on the weekend. Thanks Joan!

The host Rick is outstanding with communication. The bunkie was awesome. Nice little woodstove. The plane was quite cute, but I didn’t use it. Chose to shut the phones off for two days and just reflect. It was a perfect location. Highly recommended as it’s 1 km off the road.

We had an amazing stay at this campsite. The view was absolutely beautiful, and the constant sound of the flowing creek was incredibly soothing and calming. It really made the whole experience special. All the essentials were provided, including a BBQ, heater, drinkable water, lamps, and plates, even bedding, though we were advised to bring our own. We ended up using our own bedding, but it was great to have everything available. The hosts were fantastic, very welcoming, helpful, and easy to talk to. They even came by to meet us, which added a really personal touch to our stay. Overall, it was the perfect combination of nature and a relaxing getaway. A great place to sit back, unwind, and truly enjoy the surroundings.
