Wild Coast has 2 nightly campsites for you to enjoy. Site one is a large, flat open gravel base. And Site 2 is a large, flat grass based site. Please note you must have your own trailer or tent.
We’re a 5-10 minute drive to Rathtrevor beach/Parksville, Englishman River. We are right in the middle of an extensive trail network perfect for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding.
Both sites have plenty of space for RVs and trailers - we can accommodate vehicles up to 45ft in length. 30 amp Electrical and potable water hookups are available on both sites. WI-FI onsite as well. There is a flush toilet and sink available in our farm store that is available for guest use. No shower yet, but we are working on it!
The property is private yet close to all amenities. Local favorite Rocking Horse Pub is a quick walk next door and a must-stop for dinner and drinks!
Centrally located on Vancouver Island, it’s a perfect spot to set up the rig and day trip out to Rathtrevor, Little Qualicum, Parksville, Coombs, Port Alberni valley and Nanaimo, or go for an overnighter in Victoria, Tofino, Mount Washington and the Comox Valley.
Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban and we have dry firewood for sale onsite. If you would like firewood send us a message before you arrive.
Pets are welcome, but please be responsible for them. There is a large open grass field for you to let them run and burn off that energy.

The Gertie Bus is located a 5 min walk to a beautiful white sand beach (at low tide). There are walking trails all around and lots of beach access. Tucked into the front of our property in the quiet of Gabriola island you’ll find the converted Gertie bus with all the amenities you need.
The bus has a gas stovetop/oven, bar fridge and sink with grey water system. Equipped kitchen and sofa area to hang out.
The standard queen bed is great for sleeping in and relaxing with that second cup of coffee.
Mountain biking, hiking, swimming and whale watching are just steps away.
There is beach access across the street through a private park with picnic tables, a very old eagles nest and a private access to a rocky beach perfect for sunsets.

We have a dachshund on the property that is friendly and old ( barks at strangers but is all bark I assure you, he just wants to be friends)

We are an RV-only campsite. The site is level and can accommodate vehicles up to 40ft in length. Electrical, sewage, and potable water hookups included.

The property is about half natural forest and so it's not unusual to see local critters, large and small peeking out!

We are a quiet country getaway located 25 minutes from Nanaimo Departure Bay Ferry Terminal. Duke Point Terminal is about 20 minutes.
Picturesque town of Ladysmith is about 25 minutes south and the very Unique town of Chemainus is 35 minutes and very worth seeing.

Renting the Bell Tent offers use of all amenities that Forest Sanctuary has to offer. We have a covered communal outdoor kitchen and lounge with all cookware, dishware and utensils provided. Recently, as a family, we have seen a large increase in the people traveling to the Sunshine Coast to escape the city limits. Unable to rock up to a campsite and pick our spot like we used to, it was easy to see a growing demand. We have taken everything we love about camping and done our best to give you a sense of what life on the Coast is really about. Gibsons -Sunshine Coast is a 40 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver BC
Please note: By entering onto the property you release all liabilities towards us as hosts. You are choosing to camp in a forested area that contains many hazards as well as potential threats. These include but are not limited to; Wild life (bears, bob cats, cougars etc), Fire is a serious threat to this region during summer months strict no smoking policy is in effect. Having the covered area (tent) was great for us as we were using the back of our car to sleep in. Gave us a place to eat and hang out.
Close the road but the noise of that stopped pretty quickly.
It felt private enough for us. We liked that we could walk to the town area and the pier.
It is a pretty tight corner to get into. Wouldn’t want to try to get a trailer in there though.

Christian's site is incredible. Whilst being quite easily accessible, at the end of a road just off the main road, it is so peaceful and quiet that you'll think you're hundreds of miles away. It is obvious a lot of care has gone into the creation of this site, and it pays off. Just a really peaceful, quiet place to reconnect with nature. The cabin itself was very comfortable - warm with the fire, and at night really transforms into an amazing space with the solar powered lights. Can't recommend enough!

We loved everything at Murphy’s farm, beautiful camping space, surrounded by lovely/friendly dogs and animals, peaceful, quiet neighborhood, open campfire area was right under the shooting stars, the owners went over and beyond in making us feel welcomed and we truly enjoyed their piece of paradise!
Our young daughter experienced very cool environment and loved every moment of it. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Murphy’s farm to anyone who enjoys camping, animals and good company. Thank you Janie and Nelson.

Had a great experience at Kitchen Sink Farm on the Sunshine Coast. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. You can tell there’s a lot of care and passion that goes into the farm and everything they do. The setting is amazing, and it’s a great place to slow down and enjoy the area. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you’re on the Sunshine Coast.

Weekend Trip to Forest Sanctuary Cabin
We loved our stay in Christian’s cabin and the Forest Sanctuary. Christian was very friendly, personally giving us a tour of the space and even helping with the campfire. Our stay was tranquil and had everything we needed. Would recommend even bringing multiple groups to take advantage of the collection of campsites in the sanctuary.

Group trip
We had a wonderful stay in the Bell Tent and in the Forest Sanctuary generally. Christian has created a beautiful retreat with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Everything was comfortable, clean, and convenient. Christian went out of his way to make sure we were well stocked in firewood and blankets for the rainy weather. All in all a great place we will be happy to visit again!

16 ft rooftop tent
We loved our time on Kito & Fiona’s land. We had a lovely, rugged spot to park our Jeep with rooftop tent.
We were surrounded by blackberry bushes, wild lilac bushes and birdsong. It was quiet and private, and Fiona was so helpful in creating a wonderful stay. The property is lovely, and Kito & Fiona are both kind and friendly.
We look forward to coming back!

A very well set up and private campsite. Having the covered kitchen area with some pots and pans and dishes for two people-was brilliant. They could use a couple of bowls, however . Don’t worry about the steep driveway as there is another way around. Carson and Joanne and Cyle were all very accommodating. I hope to go back next year. It is bear country so you have to be very careful with your food.
