Nestled in the heart of the Tamihi Recreational Area, just 20 minutes from town, our property offers a rare blend of seclusion and adventure. Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest and bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise.
Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer and fall & has world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids, ideal for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just minutes away.
There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the covered picnic shelter. There is now a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for some protection because of the drop-off & undercut banks (not shown in the pictures).
We have an endless network of trails and logging roads, perfect for ATVs (ride directly out of our gate), hiking, and biking. Whether you’re seeking adrenaline or tranquility, this property offers both.
ATV's are idle in - idle out only.
QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them.
LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights.
CHILDREN MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times!
FIREWOOD is $9. for a large feed bag full & is available between 8 AM and 8 PM.
BEEF and EGGS: We have grass-fed Black Angus beef for sale and we occasionally have eggs from our pastured chickens.

This property was purchased nearly half a century ago. For the majority of this time the forest section you will be camping in was left undeveloped, apart from a few mountain bike trails. Recently, as a family, we have seen a large increase in the people traveling to the Sunshine Coast to escape the city limits. Unable to rock up to a campsite and pick our spot like we used to, it was easy to see a growing demand. Care should be taken walking around uneven surfaces. All campers are required to stay within camp boundaries fail to follow these protocols will result in being asked to leave.

Lucinda has a toaster, tea kettle, pots, cast-iron pan, and all your basic kitchen needs. Feel free to use the stove-top to heat something up or call in a meal with SkipTheDishes or DoorDash. In need of a coffee fix? If you are feeling organic, help yourself to local whole beans, or we have ground coffee for a speedier option. Savour it in genuine vintage Denby stoneware!
Enjoy our comfortable mattress, pillows, and high-quality linens. Towels, toiletries, and a clothes steamer are provided for your convenience. You can adjust the thermostat to your liking, and the MaxxFan air vent works like an A/C on summer nights to keep you comfortable.
Lucinda has a small table for meals or working on your laptop. The bed is a small full-size bed and can accommodate one adult or two slender adults who like to be close together 😉. You can stretch out comfortably at a length of 6’3”. Due to the size of the trailer, it may not be suitable for children.
There is not currently a TV, but you will have access to WiFi, so be sure to bring your laptop to cuddle up and watch your favorite shows or movies in bed!
The bathroom is, frankly, a fairy-sized wet room – Lucinda is economical like that. It will give you a decent shower though and we provide bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The toilet is flushable, and we provide RV toilet paper that is made specifically for our RV plumbing system.
The water heater works well and heats up pretty quickly. However, it is a standard RV water heater which means you'll have about 5-6 minutes of hot water until it heats up again. The shower head has a stop button to control water usage while you are showering.
Lastly, please do not be surprised that Lucinda is small; she is small. However, we find her to be a comfortable resting place.

Nestled in the heart of the Tamihi Recreational Area, just 20 minutes from town, our property offers a rare blend of seclusion and adventure. Surrounded on three sides by lush, moss-draped forest and bordered on the fourth by the stunning Chilliwack River, it’s a true nature lover’s paradise.
Enjoy a spacious riverside beach, great for swimming during the summer and fall & has world-class fishing. The area features Class I–IV rapids, ideal for whitewater kayaking, with Chilliwack River Rafting just minutes away.
There isn't river access at the sites. The stairs to the beach are through the covered picnic shelter. There is now a light wire fence along the river in riverfront sites for some protection because of the drop-off & undercut banks (not shown in the pictures).
We have an endless network of trails and logging roads, perfect for ATVs (ride directly out of our gate), hiking, and biking. Whether you’re seeking adrenaline or tranquility, this property offers both.
ATV's are idle in - idle out only.
QUIET, well-mannered, leashed pets are welcome if you pick up after them.
LONG WEEKENDS are a minimum of 3 nights.

Lucinda has a toaster, tea kettle, pots, cast-iron pan, and all your basic kitchen needs. Feel free to use the stove-top to heat something up or call in a meal with SkipTheDishes or DoorDash. In need of a coffee fix? If you are feeling organic, help yourself to local whole beans, or we have ground coffee for a speedier option. Savour it in genuine vintage Denby stoneware!
Enjoy our comfortable mattress, pillows, and high-quality linens. Towels, toiletries, and a clothes steamer are provided for your convenience. You can adjust the thermostat to your liking, and the MaxxFan air vent works like an A/C on summer nights to keep you comfortable.
Lucinda has a small table for meals or working on your laptop. The bed is a small full-size bed and can accommodate one adult or two slender adults who like to be close together 😉. You can stretch out comfortably at a length of 6’3”. Due to the size of the trailer, it may not be suitable for children.
There is not currently a TV, but you will have access to WiFi, so be sure to bring your laptop to cuddle up and watch your favorite shows or movies in bed!
The bathroom is, frankly, a fairy-sized wet room – Lucinda is economical like that. It will give you a decent shower though and we provide bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The toilet is flushable, and we provide RV toilet paper that is made specifically for our RV plumbing system.
The water heater works well and heats up pretty quickly. However, it is a standard RV water heater which means you'll have about 5-6 minutes of hot water until it heats up again. The shower head has a stop button to control water usage while you are showering.
Lastly, please do not be surprised that Lucinda is small; she is small. However, we find her to be a comfortable resting place.

Our glamping experience at Mixed Barrel Farm was the perfect spring getaway. The trailer accommodation felt more like a tiny home or small cabin with its many amenities, including a full kitchen, big screen TV, bathroom with shower and comfortable queen size bed. To us backpackers, it felt like a 3-star hotel.
But actually so much better than a hotel because we were on a farm, looking out on peaceful fields lined with pink cherry blossoms and willow trees. We met all the animals--goats, lambs, ducks, chickens and friendly cows, as well as the beautiful labs and two black cats. It seemed like a big, happy family.
Our goal was to get out into nature and this was so easy to do since Mixed Barrel is literally steps away from the Vedder South Dyke Trail along the Chilliwack River. We also visited the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve (13 min. drive) to see the herons nesting across the reserve's South Lagoon. Awesome experience! From there it's an easy wander down the Vedder Rotary Trail which has many river views and access points.
In addition to the homey farm and stunning nature, our hosts, Wayne and Leah were extraordinarily friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We could tell how much their heart and soul went into making this lovely place. We really enjoyed farm fresh eggs for breakfast and took home a roaster chicken to feast on later.
Hopefully, we can return in the fall and see that colourful season at Mixed Barrel Farm!

Michael and his family have an amazing space. It has all the amenities one could need and is quiet and peaceful. Everyone there is extremely friendly but there is enough space between cabins to feel like you have your own personal space if that's what you want. The Enchanted Forest trail is fantastic for all ages and kids will love it! Absolutely recommend! Will definitely be back.

Our stay at Mixed Barrel Farm was truly unforgettable. It’s an amazing place to camp, especially for families. Our kids had such a great time interacting with the farm animals—it was a wonderful way for them to experience farm life up close.
Leah and Wayne were exceptional hosts. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel genuinely welcome. We also had the pleasure of meeting their son, Gavin, and the whole family was incredibly warm, friendly, and accommodating. Their hospitality really made our stay extra special.
Even though it rained for most of our visit, we never felt bored. The recreation space—lovingly called the “Barrel Room”—kept everyone entertained and added so much fun to our stay.
This lovely farm has such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back, and next time with more family and friends.

We had such a wonderful time at the Farm!
It was our first official camping trip with our little family and it could not have been a safer and more comfortable space to experience it.
Our little two year old was so excited with all of the animals, waking up to seeing the cows, the goats and the chickens. And us adults loved the vibes of the fire pit and the beautiful view of the stars on the clear night!
Leah was so responsive and helpful whenever we had a question or needed assistance.

Our 2-night stay was wonderful. The cabin was superb and cozy, making it feel like a true home away from home. The vibe is laid-back, surrounded by nature, and the host was responsive and easy to communicate with. The place is incredibly peaceful—the sound of the creek was so calming and helped us sleep well. The kids had a great time playing in the creek with their boat and exploring the mini trail. We would definitely love to come back again.

Our stay was awesome! We are easy to please I think but it was just what we needed. Simple yet practical. It had everything we needed plus extras. I stayed here with my 5 year old and 2 year old, they absolutely loved the enchanted forest and thought it was pretty cool that Micheal put it all there just for them😅 the loop through the forest was perfect for kids and I loved that it was close to town, thr lake, yet still felt like we were in the middle of no where. We will be back for sure!

1 night at Lakewood Cabins
Beautiful location and mini cabin that was extremely cozy. My husband and I went on a day trip where the weather wasn’t so kind but it oddly made the experience even better with the view from the large cabin window's. The peaceful sound of the rain and Netflix made it extremely memorable and the fire-pit in the back made it all the better (when the weather was kind).
The goat and horse were also a lovely sight frolicking through the field.

Great spot. Quiet, relaxed, and exactly what we were looking for. The cabin and site were clean and well set up, and the whole place has a really peaceful feel to it. Perfect spot to unwind and enjoy being out in nature for a bit.

Weekend Trip to Lakewood Cabins
Michael’s cabin is the perfect getaway for families, friends, or couples. Even though it was raining during our stay, the atmosphere was incredibly cozy, and the view through the large windows was absolutely stunning. The cabin itself was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed, including a thoughtful selection of coffee and tea. The bathroom was also clean and very comfortable.
One of the highlights of our trip was feeding carrots to the goats and horses with Michael’s permission—it was such a fun experience! We also bought some fresh eggs on-site, and they were delicious.
I highly recommend exploring the forest trail Michael decorated. It’s filled with cute, unique decorations that make the walk feel magical. We had such a great time that I’m already planning to come back with friends very soon!

Weekend Trip to Lakewood Cabins
The Woodland Cabin was like heaven. The surrounding scenery was beautiful, and although the cabin was small, it felt spacious enough and had everything we needed. The bathroom was just a short walk away, but it was clean, warm, and very comfortable to use.
We enjoyed the campfire late into the night. The firewood we purchased for $10 was more than enough, and we were grateful that the host generously provided extra.
We would absolutely love to come back again for our vacation next year. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

We absolutely loved our stay at Michael’s cabin and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and peaceful getaway. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and thoughtfully prepared.
One of the highlights of our stay was the animals on the property. There’s a horse, a goat, and chickens, which made the experience feel extra special and charming. The horse even walked over to greet us, and that little moment truly made our trip memorable. Our dog also had an amazing time. She was completely comfortable inside the cabin and loved sitting by the window watching the horse. It was such a joy to see her so relaxed and happy.
Even though it’s a small cabin, it has absolutely everything you need. The space is very well equipped, comfortable, and perfect for unwinding. We even had a cozy movie night and felt completely at home the entire time.
The only small recommendation I would add is to bring warm slippers or thick socks if you’re visiting during colder weather. While the heater works well and keeps the cabin warm, the floors can feel quite cold. Aside from that minor detail, everything about our stay was wonderful.
We truly had a lovely experience and would gladly come back again.

Where to go
West Along the Fraser River to Richmond
Follow the flow of the Fraser River west (on Highway 1 or the Trans-Canada) and then cross it into New Westminster to discover heritage buildings and a historic pier. Continue west to where the Fraser splits into two branches and enfolds the vibrant city of Richmond, a hotspot for ethnic fare (and even a few urban wineries) that you can sample on the Dumpling Trail or at the bustling stalls of the Richmond Night Market, the largest such market in North America.
Coast Mountains and Lake Country
North of Langley and the Fraser River, the Coast Mountains rise steeply into backcountry wilderness. Easy access is found in Rolley Lake Provincial Park and Golden Ears Provincial Park, named after an ears-shaped double-summit massif. There’s camping, hiking, canoeing, climbing, and swimming at Alouette Lake, as well as at Hayward Lake and the man-made reservoir of Stave Lake.
White Rock and Crescent Beach
Go southwest 30 minutes to reach the Pacific Ocean, whether the historic pier and boardwalk of White Rock, mere minutes from the US border, or the sandy stretches of Crescent Beach to beachcomb among driftwood logs and swaying grasses. From here, you can watch ferries come and go at the nearby Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, the disembarkation spot for the Gulf Islands and Vancouver Island farther west.
When to go
Langley’s attractions are open year-round with mild but wet weather from November to February. Some provincial park camping sites are all-season, but summer is the most popular and busiest time of year. Winter offers storm watching on the coast, while snow brings skiing opportunities higher in the mountains.
Know before you go
- Most provincial parks take site reservations in advance (recommended throughout the high season of summer) and give an early priority booking window to BC residents.
- The Trans-Canada Highway, which runs through Langley and neighbouring municipalities, is the main thoroughfare in and out of the city. It gets jammed with traffic during weekday rush hours and holiday weekends, so plan around these peak commuting times.
- Although the Coast Mountains fall within city limits, they are no urban walk in the park. Be prepared when venturing into the backcountry, even within park boundaries, by packing extra food, water, and emergency shelter supplies.
